Le Meridian Thimphu is a real gem! The view from the outside is awesome and inviting, on stepping through the main doors, you are immediately struck by the beautiful, marbled reception area. Light and airy, and very spacious — very welcoming. The staff throughout the hotel are very professional, friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfasts were amazing, a wonderful selection, and again, the young staff were very efficient and helpful in making the breakfast times fun and enjoyable. The location of the hotel is great — right in the middle of most attractions, which are within walking distance. The room we have is very spacious and well equipped with all essentials. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to visitors to Thimphu. Thank you Le Meridian Thimphu for making our stay so special.

A wonderful hotel in the middle of the city.
It has easy access to all centers in the city and everything is in walking distance.
We were provided with a deluxe king with a Mountain View. The view of Changangkha temple was jaw dropping. I still have some good photographs: The rooms are spacious and family friendly and big enough of our family of four. The services was excellent from the checkin process to the check out. The front desk was very helpful with the hotel orientati…on and was very informative.
The food was great though it was more of Indian cuisine. We had a scrumptious meals: The swimming pool was heated and my son had a great time.

I am very glad that we chose this hotel to spend our vacation. Amazing hotel with very cooperative staff. Staffs are ready to modify things/menu per your requirement. This is a gem of a place. Doesn't have the pretentiousness of a 5 star; instead you will find the friendliest of staff. Haven't met such a wonderful bunch in recent times. They help you settle down in no time and make you feel you are home. The staff at their restaurant Seasonal Tastes are very courteous and suggest local dishes to be tried out. In may case they went out of the way and quickly whipped up some local delicacies which were not listed. And that's how I got hooked to Ema Thatshi. Rooms are very comfortable. If and when I return to Thimpu, I know where I get myself parked!

I got a treatment here in Le Meriden from a girl therapist named Sonam Yangzom, she is so professional and a top notch, I had again few weeks later for 90minutes, excellent. The price was reasonable too and highly recommended with Sonam Yangzom.

I stayed at Le Meridien for 1 day and had the most spectacular experience ever in my life. I felt completely take aback with the magnificence of the hotel, the ultra modern architectural design blended with traditional Bhutanese style and of course the mouth-watering delicacies served by the Chef Sunil Jajoria and team. No matter what I wanted to eat, the chefs prepared it and made my day. The best part is the location of the hotel; it is very near to the city hub. Moreover, I must add that the hotel receptionists, in-room service staffs, the General Manager, Director of sales and every soul out there are extremely co-operative, helpful and ready to welcome you with a BIG SMILE. I am truly touched by the greeting and the way they loved me. I look forward to be at Le Meridien for another holiday in Bhutan.

No words, it's a five-star hotel and they'll fine you over 500USD if you smoke in the rooms.

Location cannot be more central. The room is clean and spacious. Staff speak and understand English very well. Very prompt and hospitable. Breakfast is awesome. I commented about its musk melon and they cut a new one for me. Must explore its Explore Spa which is reasonably priced. Had a facial which left my face radiant and hydrated. I love this hotel!

I tried facial and massage where I found the workers are well skilled and experienced in their own field. Ending your weekends by swimming would be relaxed and mind freshing where the pool is maintained clean.
Do visit, where you would not regret la.

I stayed for one night during April-2015. After close to two weeks in Bhutan, if you start missing modern amenities, this is the place for you. It is a new property. The staff is always eager to take care of you. The restaurant serves great Bhutanese, Indian and continental food. There is ample parking available in the hotel. It is very close to main market in Thimphu. After staying in many hotels in last couple of weeks, one realises why nothing beats five star comforts and hospitality.
