Review of Ocean Tide Beach Resort 2*

To all future unsuspecting travellers who are even remotely considering staying here. All I say is proceed with caution, because you have are about to be warned once again. All previous travellers that have left negative reviews of this place are a 100% accurate with all of what they have mentioned. Although there is no doubt in my mind that management will as always endeavour to do their best to undermine this review as they have with previous guests. I have just returned from staying at this place for two long nights. This was a poor decision on my part, as it has proven to me that tripadvisor cannot always be trusted. This place is very far from its falsely advertised title as a resort. It’s a mere three story building with ill maintained rooms. I was allocated the “coral” room which was right next to the noisy office and it’s inconsiderate staff. And as a bonus I had noisy guests on the top floor above my room too. My bathroom has black mould on the ceiling and being a asthma sufferer it did not help matters AT ALL! The rooms have very basic amenities. The staff at this establishment are unhelpful and have a fickle tendency to laze about by the pool in an unmotivated manner. Also the guy that has a desk at the far end of the office has a unique skill of making a guest feel like his doing the guest a favour by allowing them to stay their. Also I discovered that the so called “resort” has no staff after 7pm. And considering this place is in an area which is open to public access makes it quite unsafe. I strongly recommend travellers save themselves their monies wasted and a generous helping of disappointment by looking for more money worthy and valued establishments to spend their hard earned money and vacation. A word to management… I suggest you restrain yourselves in how to run a hospitality business and get back to the drawing board, or you will lose business if you carry on with these undesirable practises.
