Very nice and helpful staff, nice location (south of town), comfortable and spacious condos with equipped kitchen, dining area and living room. The property has partnered with Marriott and many improvements made.

Banyan Bay is by far the most amazing resort and the most incredible for customer service oriented staff.
Everyone, and I mean absolutely the entire staff, put YOU the guest first.
This year I give the most heart felt thank you for making the past five years amazing. This year especially Banyan Bay made my birthday exemplary! What a great vacation! Everyone is so helpful and friendly making sure you are having a great time. The newly updated beach bar with live music several times a week was great. The lounge on the pier was so relaxing. They were up early every morning making sure the beach was spotless and beautiful. Food at PIER 366 was excellent and service was great. The manager Lee and his staff are doing a fantastic job! A big thanks to Lilian for getting us booked. What do I recommend about Banyan Bay Suites? EVERYTHING that’s why we return. Wow! This place has exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this resort. The chef at Pier 366 is phenomenal. The rooms are spacious. The staff is amazing. I can't say enough about Banyon Bay Suites.

We always stay at this property, we've been coming here for over 12 years and it's always a great experience. The staff are friendly, the location is excellent. Great place for relaxation, and the diving is incredible.

Visited earlier this month and had a grand time! It was my first visit to Belize and it's a place that I'd definitely recommend for anyone traveling to San Pedro.

My family stayed at Banyan Bay for a week, and we couldn't have asked for a better place, or better people. We LOVED all the people at the hotel, especially the girls at the front desk. As we sat at the airport waiting to leave, we were planning our next trip down!

A very convenient place to stay in group. Very good gastronomic offer in the hotel restaurant. Excellent burgers. It Also has very good pasta dishes and exquisite salads. The general decoration of the common spaces is very well achieved, both the outdoor bar and restaurant and Marina with gazebo included make the hotel its distinctive both from the air and the one that visits from the sea. The rooms are also very well decorated they are very functional and look like they are brand new. Except for the noise from the air conditioner that bothered us to sleep the rest of the aspects of furniture/installation and appliances were fine. The Department is. Very spacious in all rooms and common areas. Another issue that should solve is the theme of algae (Zargazos) that invade the Caribbean coast and you have to keep off the coast or make a good pickup as they were many days of rotten smell which affected terribly the experience so beautiful is Tar there.

Jessie and Chelsea at the front desk were extremely helpful and patient as we looking at the possible rooms here. We got a poolside room that is their most basic room but it is amazing. Two bed rooms, one with a king bed and the other with 2 twin beds. Kitchen has a full size fridge and stove. There is a very nice patio with very comfortable chairs that rotate 360 degrees and rock too. We had dinner at the onsite restaurant and it was very good! Unusually dinner for us — spaghetti and a grilled chicken sandwich which were very good. They have a full menu — that’s just what we picked out :). The spaghetti was surprisingly good. The dinner rolls were fantastic. The fries that came with the sandwich were good too. The pool here is very nice — multiple levels which is cool. May is off season so the swim up bar is closed but there is a full service bar about 20’ behind it. The national beer — Belikin — is very good and $5 bottle or $6 on draft ($2.50 & $3 US dollars). Beautiful resort and very clean! They rake the seaweed from the beach every day which is nice. The place we stayed last night is only a block down the beach doesn’t do that and the seaweed rots and smells horrendous! It’s so much more pleasant the way they do it here!

Lots of different species of plants and various seating locations allow you to take advantage of shade and breezes. The Conche Fritters are amazing!

Outstanding staff, very attentive and always greeting you with a warm smile. Gorgeous resort with spacious rooms, delishious restaurants with a wide selection of the freshest food and attentive bar staff crafting perfect cocktails… what more can you ask for. The island of San Pedro is safe, clean and charming and the resort is convient to everything in the center of town, yet still with the feeling of seclusion. Security was always seen and very courtesious. We look forward to another visit soon.

The staff was lovely and the hotel was even better. The pool, large bed cabanas, apartment style villas, balcony that over looks the well kept grounds, the rum punch they give u during check in… EVERYTHING was worth every penny.

Very nice little Resort. The restaurant on the property is very good. Staff was very friendly very helpful.

We were told we are in one of the recently renovated suites. That being said, we really liked the amenities it offered; 2 bed, 2 bath, spacious living/dining/kitchen area. We were a bit disappointed by the fact there is no washer or dryer, but with the limited water and cost, kinda makes sense. The front desk staff could be a little more informed for basic questions on what is around locally; restaurants, bars, etc. When we asked they just seemed to want to promote the on premises restaurant and bar.

This was our seventh visit to Abergris Caye as my dad retired here. This was our first time staying at Banyan Bay and it is my new favorite. We use to come to the restaurant there at least once during our earlier stays and always thought of actually staying at the resort. The rooms are beautiful and grounds excellently maintained. The staff is extremely warm and helpful. The restaurant is still excellent. The only negative I could say is they need more chairs and umbrellas around the pool.

Beautiful suites and well maintained grounds. Swimming pool and spacious and clean. Perfect location to "downtown" and there are lots of free amenities (kayaks, paddleboats, bikes). Only negative is that they only clean and turn down your bed (and change sheets) every three days.

Beautiful place with wonderful staff and a Very laid back and quiet atmosphere. I would recommend it for sure.

Banyan Bay is a great place. The rooms are nice and the cleaning team does a great job. The restaurant staff are very helpful with suggestions of things to do, and the food is great. I went fishing and the resturant prepared our fish in four different ways. All of them were great.

Great location great service completely modern and up to date immaculate all expected amenities Wi-Fi complete kitchens.

Nice place when not under construction. They don't seem to care that jack hammers and sanders are running in condo upstairs. Could not move us to a different unit or make construction move even though place was almost vacant.

If you are going to this property anytime soon bring your earplugs. Although there did not appear to be many people staying there they said they had no more rooms they could move us to. As we entered our suite we were greeted by jackhammer sound coming from the unit above that was being remodeled. It appears that instead of closing down the four suites in each building they are working on two and renting two of the four units. Every day it was the same thing they would start working at 7:30 and pound, jackhammer or sand away until we complained again. Check to see that the the construction is completed before you book a stay at Banyan Bay.

Really good dinner. Beautiful property. Ask for Andrew to sing some country music for you.

Home away from home. Good people work h ere. Always a pleasant stay. Concern about the new owners treatment of their longtime timeshare owners. Time share owners being treated like step children. Still a wonderful stay. Fix this Andrew Ashcroft.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the quarters were to die for. The restaurant was close and always good fresh food. Can't say enough good things about it. It was a wonderful vacation.

Nice very friendly staff and wonderful ambience also nice food would definitely recommend it and go there again.

Update: So it turns out that all the units at Banyan Bay are independently owned condos. Your room experience entirely depends on which room you have as each owner is responsible for decorating and updating the units… something that is not at all clear when booking. My review below is for unit G1. When we showed management the issues they moved us to a much nicer room (A2). If you do decide to book here make sure you ask for a recently updated model or perhaps for pictures of that unit. Original Review: Messed up room reservation, 0 explanation of the property when we arrived, front desk barely acknowledged us, left our luggage in the lobby for 2 hours after telling us they would lock it up, room had food in the sink and ants in the kitchen, shower had mildew everywhere, towel hooks fell off the wall, rock hard mattresses, terrible fluorescent lighting everywhere, these rooms look like they haven't been updated since the 90s, cigarette butts laying around the pool… Do not be fooled by the pictures on their website, this place is motel 6 quality at best. If it weren't for the ocean (beach littered with garbage by the way) and the fact that we couldn't get a refund we would have left in a hurry. Do not waste your money.

Very windy in the indoor dining. Takes for ever to get your food. Not very friendly.

I used to love Banyan Bay. So much so that I bought a $26, 000 Time share. In the past the management was always laid back about the yearly maintenance fees. When I was adopting my children they never said a thing about being late on my fees, as long as I got current before planning a trip. I have sent many people to stay at this resort and on this Island. This year, I got my letter from a new person as I think the resort is under new management (because I can't believe the old management would behave this way). I was trying to get my adopted children a passport and had not yet decided if I could make it this year. When you pay your maintenance fees you have to either commit to book or trade. Well as I had not decided I didn't send it in right away. Well they revoked my timeshare. $26, 000 out the window. Then Lilian proceeded to tell me that if I paid my bill including late fee for a total of over $6000 (the maintenance fees run $1000 per year) I could keep my 26, 000 investment. Well I looked and I can rent a week for 1000. So tell me, why did I buy a timeshare to pay a maintenance fee that equals a week of renting? As far as I am concerned the new Management stinks. I would have thought that if they were going to change how they conduct business they would have sent me a note to notify me. I guess thats not how the new management works. So after 9 years I spent 35, 000 for 9 weeks of vacation. Most expensive place ever.

Very comfortable resort. Great pool on site. Resort is very close to grocery store and bakery. I would defiantly stay here again. The locals are very friendly and alot of great restraunts.
