It is so cozy here, from the outside you look at a beautiful castle but once on the inside, one will find a busy restaurant and a big living room to unwind with friends and family. The whole idea of being in a castle disappears, but you keep this ominous feeling that Knights in shining armour might have traversed here in the olden days. Before anything else: the family/staff here is wonderful! They don't like wasting resources, so they asked us if we wanted some leftover food, just so they did not have to throw it away. The staff is typically familial: everybody chives in where they can. Don't be shocked if you see a 14yo running around. You can only eat à la carte here, but dinner was exemplary. We had soup as entree with bread, roast beef as main and cake as dessert. For €15 you have a very good view and an even better meal! 11/10 Will return here one day!
➜ I was a bit septic when I read the negative reviews about this property. And I do not understand them, yes the outside is superb, the interior dated, the rooms are not extraordinary but it remains in style. Clean room, redone bed, hearty evening meal and very good, nice staff. We had a great time.
