Stayed 3 nights on a brief visit to the City. Reasonably priced for its location. Decor is tired, as is some of the furniture. Clean spacious double room. Didn't have breakfast, preferred to eat out. Only mini bar in room so no hotel bar, would have been nice to be able to chill after busy days out, so that was a shame. All in all not too bad. Concierge both day and night couldn't be faulted for friendliness.

We were very disappointed when we saw our room — nothing like the photos online. Desk clerk was totally disinterested and we got the impression the hotel was once grand but is now very run down. We did not stay and went somewhere else.

I stayed there for 2 weeks in April while attending training at Vienna University Hospital (AKH). It was good for value, basically as a hotel to spend the night then have breakfast then spend your day outside. Old style Viennese hotel. Decent breakfast. Tram stop just one block, a U-station nearly (15min walk) near AKH, if you like to walk then 40 min to downtown Vienna.

I am stil awake because of the fucking noise outside they are working on the road at fucking 2 o clock in the night they should tel me that before I booked the room otherwise I would have booked a other hotel and then u have the bathroom its dirty as hell and need a clean up for real not the best hotel if slept in but the worst.

Typical of the smaller hotels in Vienna. Stayed for 2 1/2 weeks during mid July. For best experience, ask for room facing courtyard for a quiet night and floors 1, 2, 3 and 4 for best Wi-Fi. Hotel restaurant only open for breakfast but serves good selection (limited hot food, sliced meats and cheeses, vegetables, musli and continental breakfast). Refrigerators in each room with drinks and food for sale with some room for additional small items. Rooms were hot during the day but the hotel provided cooling fans (no air-conditioning). Hotel is on major tram line so transport is good. Not ideal for wheelchair access. Next door to University of Vienna Faculty of Computer Science (good location for NEMO attendees).

A beautiful hotel with a stunning interior. The staff are both lovely and helpful. The only downside is that our room got very hot while we were here and there was only a fan to cool us down. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay.

Horrible stay we had no choice of staying… No reception the guy from the counter frankly fired unpleasant does not like his job… in the morning at breakfast the ladies who tightens you Ditto that the gas of the welcome these people do not know the smile… room correct may bathroom frankly old no one fired this bathtub installed a shower these better the cleanliness of the wall of the bathtub of mushrooms or I do not know what one is afraid that it touches us… the bed mattress well except that in couple if you wished a little cuddly moment know that you can not… a bar in the circles of the bed makes you chaste… a Yes the only smile you can expect these when we pay the note and we leave the place and the it kind smoked his cigarette to see if you leave well are hotel… This is our visit to this hotel which is very negative…

The room was clean and the bathroom was very good. Beware the bar between the two beds (double bed) that breaks the back (strongly discouraged for couples in love). Carpets would also need to be changed. Staff very rude, haughty and in no way ready to help the customer. If you expect a smile from the staff it will arrive at the resolution of the note at the time of departure. I think the positive opinions about the quality of the staff are friends or trolls accounts. The four stars. Are totally undeserved, 2 stars in rigor and again. Beware of restaurant and not accessible to people with disabilities. The hotel is highly recommended.

Perfectly acceptable 2* hotel, not sure how it achieved 4* status. Dated throughout, some investment would really help. Breakfast fine, not amazing as other reviews might suggest. Found staff helpful, not enthusiastic but not rude. 10 minute walk to U2 underground which has good connections. Can be noisy due to trams. Overpriced for what it offers.

Centrally located. The S-Bahn is just outside the door. But you can also walk quickly in the city centre. The room rates are reasonable for Viennese standards. The furnishings are a bit older, but this is part of the charm of Vienna. But it's clean every time I'm here. There is free wireless internet. The breakfast is good and plentiful. A star deduction, due to the expensive parking space of the around the corner under the sports field to be found.

In terms of price and performance, the hotel was a hit. Well, for a 4 star hotel The bathrooms should be more modern — then the price would not be tenable. The rooms are spacious, the breakfast room nice, the breakfast good, the public transport connections excellent. That's all it takes. But! In the vicinity there are plenty of nice bars & restaurants.

The room was cold. The atmosphere is interesting. Very friendly staff. The room was clean.

Love the old Viennese charm and the founding house. You have to like that. Starting position is outstanding. The breakfast buffet with the very nice service people in the huge room with high windows. Porter very helpful and entegenkommend. I've been there often.

I am highly disappointed. Very bad service. My mother asked for a vegan breakfast witch staff promised to fix every day in 2 days without any result. When we talk with the reception, a man said that don’t serve vegan breakfast and we can’t get any though we paid for 2 breakfasts and got just a brad and vegetables. We didn’t get any excuse for the problem. Very poor sortiment if breakfast overall for a 4star hotel. People are smoking in their rooms, it stinks smoke everywhere in every floor though it is forbidden to smoke inside. Bad cleaning, drinking glasses were never changed in 6 days, crumbs everywhere, basin was never cleaned during the same period. Terrible furniture, old and worn, not all windows could be close properly. Very unpleasant staff. Do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very cozy, warm, clean, spacious, with a nice design hotel. Close to the center.

Nice staff, room was clean, bed and linen was cozy, bathroom was OK, TV program can be forgotten.

A very solid house with a delicious breakfast close to the train. Easy access to the city centre.

A hotel that, due to its Einrichtungbund appearance, certainly polarized very strongly.
We liked it very much because of the atmosphere and we would recommend it to anyone who can not be friends with all the minimalist equipped newly built hotels as well.
I'm sure we'll be back!

Nickel room. A receptionist on the 3 was kind.

Location was reasonably close to the city center. Safe neighborhood too. Room was nice and clean, but the bathroom, while clean, needs some serious updating. The showerhead is handheld and not the most convenient to use.

Nice Hotel, close to the center, cozy and with great breakfast. Excellent size room with bathroom and large windows, all the comforts at your fingertips.

Rooms: The pictures look better on the homepage (of course) than in reality. In the remote control, the batteries were empty, the room was overheated on arrival. The TV was rather cheap (Silva tailor, picture bad, sound difficult to understand). Cleanliness ok but not outstanding.

Bath: Our shower gel didn't work (petrified nozzle) and was replaced with a soap. Cleanliness ok.

Something aging hotel in a 19th-century building.

Unfortunately, the rooms hardly correspond in size and equipment to the descriptions and pictures on the homepage. They are very dark and small.
On arrival the rooms were very overheated and unfortunately in our room the equipment was not tested for function-empty batteries in the remote control, dried shower gel which was changed to soap after complaint, missing user manuals, leaping off the rails shower door that swung in front of it.
Cleanliness in itself fine, but the carpet has already seen better days.
The beds were comfortable and large.

The location of the hotel is very good as a starting point.
You can achieve all the sights in a short time via public transport.

For a short stay fine, however, there are better houses in Vienna for this price.

If you have breathing problems I would not choose this hotel. Full floor carpet is not a best idea and if it is decades old it is even more bad idea. Wooden floor under the carpet is going down 1-2cm at many places as you step on it. Price is very low comparing the location and room size but as the hotel is not renewed in 25 years (? ) this is understandable. 39€/night is low price though. Breakfast was good and service also. OK as a budget trip hotel.

Very nice classic hotel. Good value for its price. The room was big and clean, having a bit old-fashioned equipment, which is either in very good condition or completely new. The building itself is also kinda old, but it shouldn't confuse you, since it is in a good shape. The breakfasts are okay, it is worth to take them if you plan to get up early, since many restaurants nearby open late. The staff look to be strict and conservative, but nevertheless they're very nice and helpful (This is probably applicable to the whole Vienna itself). I enjoyed my stay here, it was a good conclusion of my vacation trip.

I would stay here again. The staff were friendly my room was spotless. I couldn't want anymore in a budget hotel. A+++

Great hotel! Clean and big rooms, good breakfast and lot of hospitality!

This is a historical looking place. Looks quite neat from outside. The room space is large. In the double room you can find a table with three chairs, which I find very useful. There is a tram station close by. The room could be cleaner. The bed looks clean, though. There's no water cooker inside the room but you can get hot water from the reception. The quality/price ratio is high.

Hotel relatively cumbersome, but with a relationship quality price more than excellent.

Hotel clásico y tranquilo. Muy correcto para el precio en Viena. Dispone de parada d tranvía justo delante. Camas bastante cómodas. Muy amables. Desayuno variado con selección de postres típicos muy ricos.

Everything was in order & corresponded to the ideas at a 4-star Hotel in the city centre in Vienna, at such a low price. Only the W-Lan read partly to be desired.

Very pleasant. Beautiful rooms, good Service, good location, quite atmosphere and charm. With better signal strength to the Hotel wireless network, it would have the 5. Stern also given. Definitely comfortable. Very decent rooms, really good service, non-distant enough to many places, nice and not too modernist atmosphere. Ok pricing. A better Wi-Fi would have merited a 5th star.

Nice room and convenient for transportation with reasonable rate. But there is no air-condition and electric fan. Summer time when weather goes up to 30 degree, you feel very hot and hard to get sleep, even though you open all windows. Very noisy for those rooms next to street. Generally I like this hotel cuz hotel managers are quite friendly.
