Great ambiance. It’s the oldest hotel in Vienna. Good service. There is also an option for a kosher breakfast that was quite nice.

Looks pretty chic and kitschy (in a good way) from the outside but as soon as you travel deeper, it’s dead and tired. I imagine this is what the hotel looked like when my parents attended prom and they’re in their 60s. I feel like it’s clean for the most part, if that’s fueling the good reviews, but if you’re looking for something with a boutique hotel feel in a historic building, don’t go up the stairs toward where the rooms are. Our room is also on an alley facing the hotel parking lot so we had a symphony of banging doors all hours of the night. Also it appears a lighting fixture outside of our door recently lite on fire resulting in two pot lights dangling from their fixtures and an open access panel in our room to view the whole debacle. **UPDATE: while writing this post in the morning I realized that access panel magically closed post check-in. Long story short, this hotel feels like the rates should be offered hourly.

Excellent hotel with great service and very helpful and friendly staff. I had a single room, which was up to Vienna standards for a reasonable price. Very close to the city center, at 15 minutes walking distance to Stephansplatz and 5 minute distance to the metro station. One little problem was the quite unpractical bathroom configuration, as a result of trying to save as much space as possible for the room itself. Nevertheless… would recommend.

If I could tick six stars I would. Excellent in every way, standard, food location, people, price. Vienna is a great place for a city break. English speaking too.

Very lovingly furnished city hotel. Everything nearby. City centre about 15 minutes away. Staff great and friendly. Class breakfast. Good price/performance ratio.

Hotel fully deserves 5 points! Staff is very competent and helpful. Location more than perfect for visiting city center. In a walking distance there is city square and a lot of tourist attractions and delicious restaurants. Hotel has its own parking (paid separately 25Eur per night) which in center of Wienna is a Big advantage. In The hotel which in fact is an oldest hotel in Wienna you can find A lot of small artefacts from past ages as well as beautifully dcorated interiors and patio. Rooms are very stylish (with refurbished furniture) and clean. Breakfast delicious! Served in amazing hall. Just can not be better!

Nice hotel, gets an feeling as you are a part of history, staff could've been nicer, will definitely recommend and return.

Because hotel is irritating with Viennese charm. It is very clean, well maintained and the service leaves nothing to be desired. Unfortunately, at breakfast I always had the impression that I had to finish quickly, because the staff needed empty tables for the waiting at the entrance and so you were constantly asked if you needed anything and cleaned dishes even though you were still eating.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern equipped, clean and spacious. The breakfast is very varied and good. The food in the restaurant is very good and convenient for Viennese standards. If we come to Vienna again, we will stay here again.

Viennese Hospitality as you would imagine. You always feel like Sisi and Franz Josef are around the corner. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel Stefanie in Vienna we'll be back.

The breakfast is great, big choice, everything fresh and tasty. It is constantly replenished. The service is very friendly, fast and attentive. They even served us dinner before a concert earlier than usual. The cocktails are delicious, the rooms clean and the service and very good. You feel very comfortable and walking is about 10 minutes in the center with many sights. All around a very nice 4 day trip.

Ideal couples in romantic getaway. The Hotel was very old. It's a 4 * Superior. Good location. Good value for money.

Great hotel, close to the center but quiet. Lobby is a state of the art. The staff is welcoming and professional. Good breakfast, but come early or you will have to wait to be seated.

Not far from the historic center. Good service. Great interiors. Good food. The transport infrastructure is within walking distance. The rooms with a view of the ULSU overlook the tram intersection-with open windows at night noisy. Reasonable prices.

You can tell a lot about a place by the mood of the staff. Everyone at this hotel was very jovial and friendly. The rooms are a bit dated, but the hotel is over 100 years old. Squeaky floors, heavy keys, small elevators, all contributed to the hotel's rich character. I really enjoyed this place, especially the breakfast, bar, and staff (who forwarded me a forgotten item).

After 4 nights I can confirm that the hotel is a delight to stay at with friendly and helpful staff, great breakfasts and clean and we'll cared for rooms. Restauant and cafe bar available. Located 5 minutes walk from two underground stations. One tram line passing outside regularly or 5 minutes walk from several other tram lines. Able to get boats for a trip around Vienna too. Hotel is easy to get to and from central Vienna in about 10-15 minutes. Just outside the centre of Vienna.

We stayed 5 days at the hotel Stefanie in a suite. The hotel is centrally located and is very quiet. It is only a 5 minute walk to the nearest subway station at Sweden Square. The staff was very friendly and the rooms clean. The sleeping comfort is excellent. The breakfast buffet is very good. A parking lot can be booked. It is located in the enclosed courtyard and is covered. We have not noticed a single negative point!

Was booked at this hotel thru Vermont Bike Tours and loved it, it was the best establishment that we stayed at. The staff was wonderful, particularly Andreas. The food was spectacular and I highly recommend sitting outside in the courtyard. Will certainly be back!

I found the price very reasonable for such a luxury hotel. It certainly has an old world feel with the decor and staff and felt like I'd been transported back 100 years — but in a good way. It wasn't right in the centre but we used the walk in as part of our sight-seeing route so wasn't ever an issue. Staff were very friendly and gave us plenty of help to find the best sights of this stunning city. Our room was huge, with a walk-in wardrobe, although sadly we only stayed one night. Breakfast was one of the best I've had all over Europe with free sparkling wine and everything you would expect.

The interior of the hotel is wonderful. Very fancy. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The shower is great as well. The free breakfast here is better than paid breakfast elsewhere! The staff is very polite and respectful, they even let us eat for free though we arrived 5 minutes late.

Not worth the money so basic.

We visited Vienna recently and stayed in the hotel Stefanie, the room was well presented with all the usual facilities you would expect from a hotel of this quality, the breakfast buffet was exceptional with a good variety on offer. The hotel is centrally located in the heart of the popular shwedenplatz district with easy access to the underground and bus stations and only a 10 minute walk from the old town shopping centre. If I ever visit Vienna again I would consider staying at the hotel Stefanie again.

I was so pleased with this hotel. Everything was nice about it and they made the best chicken noodle soup! Loved the local too.

Banquet/event/wedding: perfect in all aspects; great Team in front of and behind the Scenes. It has Juni14 everything, really everything works excellently.

The location is good, close to underground and also old town. The hotel is classic and it is not my taste, but it is good to spend a night there. The room was too small like in a hostel while the hotel is a 4* establishment. They have a nice selection for breakfast. The only thing I would address is the Wi-Fi service which was awful. It was almost unreachable, independently if it was 7:00 am; 6:00 pm or 11 pm.

Very nice place, classic and good for staying the night. Breakfast was really nice and the location is good, you´re close to u-Bahn and Stephanplatz. It´s a great choice for spending a couple of days.

This is my second time to stay at this hotel. Rooms are OK, service, too. The big BUT. The house keeping is a disaster. In all hotels 4 or 5 stars, I was used to get my room done, including folding my cloths, removing toys and other belongings from the floor. Wherever I went, when I come back I find my room clean and tidy, but at the hotel, they make it clean and NOT tidy.

Very nice room, excellent breakfast. The staff in reception office was very nice, had plenty of humor but the still take care of the guests. We enjoyed the stair.

The location is good and clean hotel. Therefore, we have decided to hold our wedding reception at this hotel.
Unfortunately, the Banquet Manager has screwed up – like everything else!
Wrong, wrong Sitzordung, etc.
Nochdazu came the rude way. I have been in many hotels, I was never treated so badly.
It's a pity for such a nice hotel.
