Highly recommended. Top location for sightseeing. Beautiful, clean rooms, excellent breakfasts and very friendly and attentive service. The only thing to complain about is the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. But that's only a problem in daylight saving time. Would book there again at any time.

Awesome place! Best hotel you can stay at Vienna. It is clean, the breakfast is fantastic and people here are friendly. The location is perfect. It is over 150 years old so if you like historical places, this hotel is for you. The cups are Villeroy Boch and the forks and knives are solingen. They considered every detail! I am glad I had this experience:)

Hotel in an absolutely strategic location but the comforts of the room are not absolutely 4 star. My room for her furniture I found it unwelcoming,, the sheets did not seem very clean, pillows uncomfortable. Very nice and friendly staff But I think I won't be back.

Wonderful, smaller charming hotel nestled behind the St. PetersKirch (church) has. Ca welcoming staff, beautiful Viennese decor that is warm and inviting. Our room was compact but comfortable with one v of the few tubs that the hotel has to offer. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast (included in our rate) was expansive, many choices and even Champagne (New Years holidays). Though there was no iron in room, the hotel offered us a place to use theirs. Location is great, quieter and yet a short walk to U bahn at Stepensdom platz. Vienna is amazing at New Years and the Wandl was a perfect place to stay.

Excellent hotel right in the city centre of Vienna!

Truly fantastic experience, to the limits of perfection. I was at Wandl from August 2nd to 7th with my girlfriend (double room #309) and we had a great time: The hotel is in a very central location, a stone's throw from the Stephandsom; Ideal for reaching any point in the city (the furthest tour is in Schönbrunn, at 6/7 Metro stops). Comfortable room with a very spacious wardrobe and fully functional air conditioning. Comfortable bed and spacious bathroom, with a very large shower-cabin. Safe easy to use but you feel a bit of a lack of a fridge in the room. Overall, great experience: We were absolutely satisfied, when we return to Vienna, will definitely be at the Wandl.

An exceptional historic hotel in the "Altstadt" area of Vienna. Excellent breakfast with many choices. Very festive as we were there at New Years our room was compact but had good closets, luggage rack, desk and the bathroom had a tub, there are few tubs offered at the hotel but very nice to have, also there was my high priority item, a magnifying mirror. Staff was very helpful. There isn't an iron and board for use in the room, but they'll set you up to use one if needed. The location was very good, short walk to Stephen'sdom where there is U ban service. Vienna is wonderful and this hotel was a great match.

For people who want to visit Vienna. Very good location Clean and functional rooms. The breakfest a bit fair. Helpful staff but missed someone from reception who knew some language more. German. English and Spanish.

Location is good but the hotel is not like 4stars hotel. The onething most greatest thing was for me was kind staff.

Why this place has 4 stars is beyond me. The rooms are something reminiscent of a 2 star hotel located alongside a highway, lacking both amenities and decent decoration. Breakfast was sub-par (unless boiling your own eggs is your thing) and not really worth the effort. Service was okay and the only good thing about this place is the location as it's smacked right in the centre of Vienna.

Welcoming and helpful personnel; historical building; great location. The rooms' interiors are a bit more spartan than you'd expect from the opulent façade and ground-floor lobby.

Spacious room, comfy bed, lovely staff, decent free breakfast, great location, and affordable! I want to give 4.5 stars but can't. Only issue is that my room didn't appear to have air conditioning. Wasn't too hot so we were okay, but would just call ahead to confirm a/c or not. Would stay again!

A very excellent Hotel. Unfortunately, I may only spend a night there, but was able to take the superb Breakfast buffet. The Service is very friendly and accommodating, the decor classy and the location in the heart of Vienna speaks for itself. Always gladly again!

Absolutely great location, low room rates. For this you do without but also on a lot. No Wi-Fi in the rooms. For a fee of €5 per day you get a router which must then combine with the Jack and his computer room (slightly behind secular) at the reception. The room inside (goes towards a small courtyard, roof is — so no fresh air when you open the window) is absolutely bad. The small flat screen on the wall is the only "window" to the outside. No minibar in the room. No information about the hotel (Internet, breakfast etc. ) in the room. For the location and the good price (€ 110/night in January), you must lack a lot.
