the afternoon tea with scones and Jam was excellent and Ron gave us all the good place to check and really helpful.

Thanks Ron and Leanne for your hospitality, from the cream puffs for afternoon tea to the huge breakfast delivered to our room. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful place to stay. I was there on business and when I arrived, I had been upgraded to the suite. The owners were so kind and hospitable. Lovely extra touches make this the place to stay if you are in York.

We had a lovely weekend in York staying at The Grandhouse. Leanne and Ron are delightful hosts and offer a personalised service. We appreciated the "above and beyond" gestures like scones on arrival and wine and port served in the lounge room. The walk up Mt Brown from The Grandhouse is spectacular. Thanks for your hospitality, we'll definitely be back.

Leanne and Ron are grand hosts with very happy dispositions providing very comfortable rooms with some extras like wine or coffee in the guests lounge or even in the garden amongst roses and a vegetable garden. Breakfast was good delivered to our room. Good location with easy walking to town and the Avon River. Will return.

The hosts, Leanne and Ron, are two of the loveliest people who made us feel so welcome in their B&B. From the yummy afternoon tea on arrival, the drinks in the visitors lounge in the evening and the delicious breakfast in the morning served in our room. The Grandhouse is ideally located to get out and about in York and the perfect place to stay. Thankyou for a wonderful weekend — we will definitely come back and stay again xx Barrie, Lorraine and the furbabys Harvey and Ivy.

We recently stayed here and had a wonderful time. Clean, comfortable suites, great amenities, beautiful gardens. Loved all the extra touches, the afternoon tea, evening drinks, well stocked library, great breakfast, really friendly, helpful hosts, nothing was too much trouble and my beautiful birthday gift was such an unexpected surprise. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

Lovely greeting upon arrival. Facilities explained in full. Complementary wine port and beverages. Room immaculate and private. Breakfast included and owners have great personalities and make you feel very welcome with a delivery of fresh scones. Will definitely be back loving my stay.

From booking, arriving and leaving Leanne and Ron were friendly, helpful and accommodating of our family of 4.
Clean, tidy and lots on offer. Afternoon tea and breakfast were lovely with lots of homemade food.

Wonderful service from Leanne & Ron. Kids had such a great time in a garden while we enjoy our afternoon tea. The accomodation is so charming. We were there 3 years ago and we when we dicide to go back to York this place is the first one on the list and will be next time soon. :) Sanders family.

Felt very welcome great hospitality. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. Will definitely book into The Grindhouse again if back in York.

Amazing The hosts Leanne and Ron made you feel as if it was your own home the place is immaculate and the rooms are spacious and well maintained breakfast was yummy and a lot of ingredients were home made. If you need a break from the hustle and bustle this the place for you. Could not fault in anyway. 10 out of 10

Wonderful accommodation! Our "Paris room" was beautifully decorated and furnished and the main living area was a home-away-from-home with complimentary red wine and port offered as well as freshly baked scones in the afternoon and a very tasty breakfast which included delicious home-made yoghurt and poached pears. Many thanks to Leanne and Ron who are warm, entertaining, hospitable hosts.

Such a lovely relaxing place to stay with very welcoming hosts. Spacious rooms and lounging area with large outdoor areas where chickens and little chicks are roaming free. Very clean (especially the spa which gets cleaned each time after use). Will definitely visit again!
