Friendly welcoming on arrival our room was lovely spacious & clean definitely will be back.

Went to the York collective for lunch. How disappointing.
Everything was straight out of the freezer and was bland, dry and tasteless.

7 of my family booked for a meal in the beer garden. Lovely surroundings but the meals don’t cater for kids at all. Only chips not even nuggets. Pizzas that were not to most kids liking, roasted tomatoes on top, most kids love sauce but not tomatoes so visible. Chicken snitzels like the heart shaped ones you buy from the supermarket deli window, taste disgusting, a handful of chips out of the bags from the supermarket. My son in laws meal didn’t turn up at all, we cancelled it and it turned up when we had all finished. It had been doing the rounds of all the other tables. Terrible meal. One waitress was lovely the other one had no empathy at all when I said my meal was awful I couldn’t eat it. She didn’t care. Perhaps if she said, oh I’m sorry I’ll mention it to the Chef. Never again, no recommendations here, I do better at home.

Fantastic food and attentive staff. Despite current restrictions on hotels, our lunch was brilliant. My chicken parmagiana was the best I've had anywhere, my partners chicken burger was great, and her sons steak sandwich was very enjoyable. Thoroughly recommended!

Shoutout to Lee in the bistro for making our group feel accommodated and welcome after a stuff up made to our booking by another staff member. The food in the bistro was delicious and Lee was great! Thankyou.

A good place to have a meal. Not badly priced and quite fresh. Good playground for kids indoor and outside. Nice beer garden.

I went there with my Dad for Lunch this afternoon and I had the 200 gram Scotch Fillet and Calamari with Chips and a Raspberry Lemonade to drink. My Dad had the Pie of The Day with Chips and Salad and a glass of water. For dessert I had the Flourless Chocolate Cake with Cream. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent.

We finally managed to visit on kids eat free night and it was Great. The kids meals are a good size and they seemed pretty tasty (my boys had a fish and chips and a pizza). The main complaint I'd have is that I'm yet to have a meal that I absolutely love, they're fine and not terrible but the main reason we visit is because of the playroom.

Regularly come here to catch up with mates. The staff here are friendly and the food is pretty good for what's it's worth. Tuesday night is steak nights and for $16 you get really good value.

Loved the meal, great prices and indoor playground for the kids. Would like to see more personable employees — very standard service.

Food was extremely average, slightly undercooked chips but the rest of the meal was alright. Fairly priced meals and drinks. Wouldn't recommend this for an important event but if you're looking to casually go out, it's not a bad option.

Room was very clean and spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Lovely greenery surrounding the whole premise. Angela at reception was very helpful and friendly. Love the courtesy bus!. Thank you for a pleasant experience.

My son and I dined in the bistro, we both ordered rump steak, however my son ordered his with chips and salad, but only received steak and chips, despite this small mistake the meals tasted very nice and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Friendly staff very laid back the spa is big enough for two and the bed is oh so comfy only downfall was the walls were dirty and inside the kettle was gross appears it's never been cleaned otherwise the bistro food was also great but with room service I don't understand why you have to pay a $5 delivery fee when it's room service? I'll go back again though was a great get away.

My visit was for a birthday, finger food was provided it was ok company was great. Although the bistro is very good, you need to make a booking.

Spacious room. Lovely outlook over a small lake. Room is very dated and sparsely furnished. Bathroom is early 80s. Staff helpful and friendly. Sadly the restaurant is well below pa. Food quality very poor, and pricey for what you got. Breakfast not available Mondays? With a change in the chef this place could be brilliant. Despite this would stay at the hotel again. Very convenient to the wedding reception venue next door.

Beautiful pool! Great food, and very impressed by the indoor playground in the bistro, it made dining with young kids painless. :)

Room looked great initially. A bit dated but great space and nice view of lake in the morning but… The room stank of old cigarettes, mould in bathroom and on curtains and having to step over the full size spa to have a shower… not safe. Hearing the people in the adjoining room talk and use the toilet wasn't nice.

Our room really needed refurbishing. Double bed was good but the queen was soft and saggy. There are no besides for the double or any reading lights. The bathroom ceiling looks like it's had a leak and needs replacing. The shower is over the spa making it impossible to access safely. Quiet and nice area. However the room was way over priced for its condition.

Great location. Units old but very clean. Only issue was no microwave, toaster or cutlery other than teaspoons and no bottle opener. Great fir a short stay.

Enjoyed the stay and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Marked it down a start because it wasn't clear when booking that they don't offer a cooked breakfast. Which is very odd considering they offer dinner and have a full restaurant onsite. The breakfast packs you could pre purchase didn't look appealing at all.

Ate at the bistro with some family to celebrate a birthday. The food was nice with more than generous serving sizes. Staff were polite and efficient allowing us to enjoy our evening without any fuss. We were eating during what seemed to be a peak time as the bistro was full and there were plenty of families with children enjoying the play area. This had the effect of making the space rather loud and so difficult to hold conversation. Not something that can be helped in such a setting at that time but worth considering if you're looking for a quiet meal or would rather a lively, family friendly space like York on Lilydale.

This establishment should not exist, the staff over overwhelmed and useless when it comes to simple tasks. Not only are they incompetent but they take their frustration of this out on their customers. I recently called to see if a payment for a room had gone through and was treated like an idiot. I will never stay at the over priced York on Lilydale especially when there are other places to stay in the area offering competitive prices for a product of higher quality.

Stayed there before and after our wedding, staff were amazing, they even ran a free shuttle bus to our wedding for our guests.

This well kept 90's gem reminded me of family holidays past. Summer evening the rainforest sized gum trees fill with Cockatoo who play like monkeys in the high branches. Walk through the gardens, a favourite spot for wedding photography on account of its natural beauty. But perhaps most of all, get club-style cheap and hearty meals delivered to the door of your apartment for $5. Eat in the spa bath if you like!

We had our son 21st birthday at york on lilydale. Food was incredible. Leah was amazing. Thankyou.

Very good value for money, good facilities and really helpful staff. We were attending a wedding at a venue a few kilometres away and they arranged a shuttle bus to pick us up and drop if off at no charge.

Went to bistro for steak night, great value and a wonderful meal, all staff were helpful and cheerful, will be back again soon.

This property has reasonably decent but overpriced rooms, however the outside is not well maintained. The bathroom had shower over the bath but no shower curtain. The bath was very narrow and I felt quite insecure. Personally, in 2017 they should supply a decent coffee mug and the WI-FI should work. It is obvious that the Pokies in the main facility now make the motel just a minor earner. Good news is that the Bistro, next to the Gaming room was excellent.

The food has improved since 3 years ago. The service is also Better making a dinner there a pleasant experience.

Clean budget accommodation. The other guests were mainly workers, road tripping tourists and groups of high school students. There is an outdoors unheated pool and an indoor/outdoor playground in the bistro. Steak night and poker Tuesday nights which my husband enjoyed. The room contained a kettle and tea/coffee facilities plus a corner bath with spa jets. The rooms were serviced daily. There is a public bar and bottle shop on the grounds and plenty of free parking.

Nice enough function room, drinks pricing was exorbitant though. Bar staff were friendly and we're having a ball behind the bar, which is good to see.

The carpet is absolutely disgusting looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years, none of us let our small kids play in the playroom because we didn’t want them getting sick from that carpet. Food was pretty average and service was the same. It was such a disappointment we all used to go here when we were younger when everything was clean, the service was lovely and awesome was food. Such a shame how rundown it’s become.

Took an hour for meals to come, medium done steak, a soup and a kids meal so disappointed after the long wait that the food was poor and I could have done 100% better in my own kitchen.

Food was good. Had the Wednesday Parma special. Took a while to get out but it was busy.

Had dinner in the bistro. Food was reasonable priced and decent quality — met my expectations. My niece had a ball in the playground!

I will here for a daytime workshop. Easily accessible by public transport, large clean function room. Friendly staff.

Kids food came out first and quick :) the rest was quick and yummy.

Unfortunately the inside playground was not in use but the weather was nice enough for outside play. The waiters were lovely the food came quick. We had a lovely time.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was away from the road so it was quiet as well. The room had a spa bath. The beds were comfortable. There is a bistro. It is convenient and the food and prices are reasonable. I did not use the pool or other facilities. The staff were courteous. I would stay there again.

Convenient location, lots of parking. Great place to chill with some mates and have a couple of drinks.

Went for lunch, which was nice and they brought the mains out together despite a later order from our table. Floor staff could learn to smile and lighten up from their constant straightened demeanor. Desert was dissapointing from their specials board, serving size was dismal especially as it was ordered to be shared by a couple. Overall experience was satisfactory, prices are expensive for a weekend lunch as there are only weekday lunch specials.

The meals are up and down like a yo-yo I've waited an hour and a half to get to get given the wrong meal.

Food was nice. Except the kid's meals. The nuggets where left uneaten and the pasta was a small portion. The adult meals were fine.

Went there for a work function. The meal was wonderful. Service friendly and helpful. The function room was clean and will prepared.

Nice room, good location, a little pricey.

We were seated quite fast despite it being packed. Service was very friendly, I think they were short staffed because the service was slow, but I got the impression they were working as efficiently as they could. The kids were very happy with the kids meal toys (build your own crazy straw plus a yo-yo) my 4 year old loved the play area. Meals were well cooked. Everyone was happy with their choices.

We arrived on a Sunday night with no reservation and even though they were busy, we were lucky enough to get a table. The Bistro has a typical Bistro layout which is becoming dated. There's a great play area for the kids with heaps of equipment. The steak was cooked perfectly and was a great cut. Great experience.

Venue was clean, accessible (especially for disability). Ambient temperature was fantastic considering was an extremely cold night. Decor was inviting. Drink prices were comparable. Staff were very accommodating. Food was hot, fresh, tasty and extremely affordable (from gaming room kitchen) Only issue was smoking area backed onto seating area and filled the room with a putrid smell/taste. (in gaming area when eating)

Friendly staff. Pub meals style food. Provides drawing activities for children and got a lot entertainment for them like indoor play ground. Wifi available.

Very sketchy. They charged us a public holiday surcharge on a day that wasn't a public holiday. When I questioned it they said that they were just counting it as part of the public holiday and charging it the whole weekend. The spa was tiny although another room we had previously had a good spa. When booking a spa room make sure to check what size you are getting. When we arrived we were told continental breakfast was included in our package then on day 2 we were told it wasn't when I question it and explained what we were told on arrival they seemed annoyed and said 'fine just go in'.

Good was good and the entertainment was great! Service provided by staff was exceptional.

4 sleeper was roomy. Room smelt a little and air con was not very cool plus spa didn't work. There was a few hairs on the pillow. However for a quick stay, it was good. Nice gardens and lake plus the convenience of location to whyuna reception was great. There's a bottleshop and pokies on the site which makes it easy to get drinks.

I went to their summer on the hill festival with music and market. Was good to see them diversifying into different things. A great day.

Delicious parma's for a good price!

Food is ok but need to be a little bit bigger! And more pub style menu would be a better idea!

This place seems to do everything, accommodation, shows, bands, food, pool, tennis court, kids play room and so much more.

I live very close to the york so its very easy to get to. I enjoyed their steaks I have tried each type there and its always beautifully cooked. Honestly I tried their parma once and really didn't enjoy it like I usually enjoy parmas, maybe a bad night? because I have heard they're really good! recommended by me for sure!

Nice and peaceful stay overnight, great hotel.

Having just checked out after a two month stay I was most impressed with the food and the most friendly bistro staff after having meals seven nights a week there, also the courteous bar and reception staff who went out of there way to assist me on a number of occasions so a big THANK YOU to all. Parma's are okay, Gnocchi was below average also found a fly in my Gnocchi. Never again going back.

We are regulars here. The food is great value and the staff are super friendly. Happy staff suggest good management.
