Beds and pillows were the best thing about our stay — very comfy. Walking distance to the city. Convenience store was close by. It wasnt the cheapest hotel around but I went with Mantra Southbank because of the location. The kitchen was not well equipped at all. In our fully self contained apartment there was 1 saucepan (no lid) and 1 other large casserole stove top saucepan. There was no frypan, platters or serving bowls, Not ideal if you are wanting to stay in and do dinner in your apartment. Microwave was very old — a turn control button which must be very old — not digital. It was very noisy with traffic from City Road and our apartment was not the cleanest. The carpets in hall from the lifts to the apartments (floor 9 and 14) were buckled and need replacing. Some were taped down and potentially a trip hazard for sure. OHS is not a top priority it seems. Wont stay there again — will definitely look for somewhere else if in im ever Melbourne again.
