Moved in here in 2017 for 9 weeks the staff were absolutely amazing, they are caring, thoughtful, helpful and so easy to have a conversation with. High recommend this place!

The Staff were friendly and helpful but the room itself was filthy. We walked in to find the bathroom window broken open, holes and marks in the walls, dust and stains all over the carpet and furniture. There were things missing such as the hairdryer and a chair. They state on their site that they have a gym but it is infact 10minutes away in a university so not their own at all. Some of the cleaners wouldn't knock before entering. They stated they had self laundry on their site but this is just one washing machine and one dryer that the actual cleaning staff use to wash face washers. The whole stay made my partner and myself feel unclean.

Large rooms quite cheap. Nice and neat with on site parking and nice restaurant.

Not too bad! Walking distance to Footscray Hospital. Guys at the reception are very considerate and help you out in most of your needs of staying. Rooms may be old but are maintained, no musty smell. Downside is, Wi-Fi is payable and reception of same in your room may not be the best.

I have stayed here a few times over the passed 27 years and I love it. We had the spa room twice. The room service used to be wonderful, they no longer serve meals to the rooms. How sad. You only get a free breakfast now, and it is lovely. The motel is quite small considering. About 30 to 35 Rooms and a couple of serviced apartments which I have also stayed in for about 3 weeks. The Footscray Motor Inn is quite suitable for the whole family, its only lower grading would be that it is missing a swimming pool. Which I had previously believed was an Australian basic provision. The staff are wonderful people, as are the locals, I especially like the Vietnamese community of Footscray who are second to none in their cuisine. I recommend the Footscray Motor Inn to my family from overseas in fact to all International visitors, as well as local, and interstate visitors.

The one bedroom studio with spa is fairly well appointed… Having a longer stay, however, housekeeping could be more astute in replacing basics… Twin studios are more comfortable by way of temperature control.

Stay away from this place. If I can find any thing lower than 1 star I would rate for this place for their service, when we arrived at 14:00 check-in time, the man on duty behind the desk were very rude, he could not provide a room for us and started shouting and accussed us of harassing him (? ) then used that accusse to cancel our booking. Make booking somewhere else if you want a place to stay for your booking.

Not bad just our room had no soap dish & smoke alarm went off 4 times in one night starting at 530am. Staff ended up taking battery out.

Rough — if you are a heavily tattooed person who likes to stay up for days to fight with your defector partner, this is the place for you.

A Big No — I stayed in Room 29 from Dec 24 2017 until Dec 27 2017. The rooms were spacious but what makes it worse is a door stopper, which was right in the middle of the bathroom and I had once hit my foot so hard. The next time, I forgot there was this peril and then hit once again and fell down in the bathroom. Reported the issue to the staff but for no action or care! Upon arrival, the staff was very impolite while replying to my queries. What compensated this turmoil is the manager's (Mr. Shaun) amicable nature. Thank You Mr. Shaun for being kind and friendly! Overall, I wouldn't recommend stay here unless you are easy going with the attitudes and not so into "get back what I invested in"

Stayed a few times now whilst attending local expos. Always had a great laugh at the bar. Comfortable relaxing enviroment. Always felt like I was staying with friends rather than a motel.

The rooms were large, clean and well maintained. The owner and staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The wrecked car in the car park is an interesting addition…

Was in the room for 20 minutes. When rudely interrupted by cockroaches. Then was refused a refund on the room. Staff were rude and very hard to deal with after the incident.

Fantastic. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean,, and functional rooms. And oh my good God steak! Hopefully tonights slow cooked lamb is as great. Breakfast was exceeding my expectations, and rivals that of the upmarket hotels throughout Australia. For the price, I can't fault this venue. And for parent travelers, the rooms are perfect. Big enough for setting up a play area, and you won't be afraid of them destroying everything… My 19 month old has put everything through its paces, and you wouldn't know we had been here! (staff were even understanding when police stormed our room after he called 000 several times while I slept. Lol. Boys. )
