Friendly staff, good location with access to loads within walking distance, clean and nice rooms with unique design.

Terrible room. Dirty blankets, mould in shower, intercom not working, bed sunk in the middle. Door frame split from wall so wind came in and pillows were like a rock. Customer service was good but over all terrible place to stay. Never again!

Front office lady was absolutely welcoming and friendly, unfortunately my family and I stayed here on a freezing night my heater is not working and every 10 minutes our microwave beeps 3 times and I can't turn it off and blanket wise they are more suitable for the summer cleanliness I'd say a 5 out of 10

Good: The location is the biggest selling point — close to Melbourne Central, QV markets and Chinatown. This is a very functional and modern apartment. It has a small kitchen, microwave/oven combo, dishwasher and a washing machine + dryer. This apartment is really good if you don't want to spend a fortune eating out. Bad: The aircon unit is like a wall mounted portable unit inside the room, which makes it a tad noisy when it's on. The bed feels like a cheap spring bed — or maybe I'm just used to sleeping on my latex bed. Overall, it was a good stay, but not perfect. I would still recommend this place.

Well priced. The best location I have stayed in Melbourne for being central to everything you would want to visit. Would return. Rooms good value.

Nice accommodation. Clean and well equipped. I stayed there with my family including a kid. Everyone enjoyed. Receptionist was friendly.

Very simple apartments. "City view" means it has a window, even if that window is just to the alley next door. Beds weren't terribly comfortable but it is in a convenient location and the cost is low. Don't expect luxury, but the rooms were good enough for a short stay.

If it was possible to rate this a 0 star I would. The room was disgusting for the price tag. I'm not a picky person when it comes to hotels, all I want is it CLEAN and functional… Which this place is not. Paid extra for a 'premium' one bedroom apartment with balcony which was clearly a studio apartment with a TERRIBLY built byfold door to separate the bedroom from the lounge. (see photo — unfortunately didn't get a closer pic) Mystery stains all over the carpet and couches (photos), mould in the shower, broken blinds that don't open or are held together with sticky and duct tape (photos) just to start the list!

Moderate accommodation in the middle of the city. Central air-conditioned, which means you have no control over the temp or the air flow. Wilson's car park right next door which is great to access from the hotel.

Staff lovely however major mix ups with the rooms. -No ventilation in the rooms. -The bed was 2 single beds joined to make a double bed Again staff lovely but for the price it was not worth it. Thank you though.

Decent accommodation, the lobby has a sofa and table. There's a letter box for those who aren't living there but just booked the place for a few days or weeks etc (as was my case). The room I had was clean and cosy although the AC can't go below 21 or else it'll go a bit wonky. Had to close it manually before it could start again normally. The kitchen is decent, has all the basic equipment and plates, glasses, knives, etc. Location is superb, right next to Melbourne Central Station, Victoria Market, and the trams.

Fantastic location on Elizabeth St. Surrounded by many dining and shopping options. Very accessible public transport with trams and train stations very close by. Friendly staff.

Neat little apartment. All the required amenities. Carpet had some stains and the walls and blinds were a little dirty, but not enough to effect your stay. Overall, a great little place to stay in the CBD, close to everything. Would recommend.

Good well priced accommodation in the middle of the city. Has dryer and washing machine, iron, small kitchenette. Good for longer term stays. Appartments with outside view are good, inner courtyard is nice and quiet but air is conditioned.

Decent hotel apartment if you don't mind a really small room but great price for what you get. Very close to the market and a quick walk to the light rail.

Accessible to public transit. Queen Victoria market. Kitchenette is useful. Living room couch is uncomfortable and needs cleaning.

Paid extra for a balcony but it was pretty average with our corner apartment. Sliding door to bedroom was really bad, and the 'large double bed' we paid extra for was basically just a regular double bed (possibly just two singles put together, felt like a metal bar right down the middle). Really great location though.

This is a classic case of 'you get what you pay for' — below average room and extremely rude staff. There was a large group of women (presumably friends of one of the staffers) sitting in the foyer talking loudly to one staff member behind the counter, while the other staff member checked people in at a snail’s pace. We waited at least 10 minutes while she worked agonisingly slowly to complete an extremely basic task. I won’t be staying here again, not necessarily because of the hotel itself, but because of rude and seemingly incompetent staff. The room TVs are minuscule and the showers leak. Your room door doesn't automatically lock (great security… not) and the furniture in general is dated and dirty. By the way, if you need the sofa bed, they will charge you extra for the ‘privilege’ – you’d be more comfortable sleeping on the floor and saving the $60. Spend the extra money and go somewhere else.

Lovely lady at Reception. But disappointed with Sofa bed so uncomfortable mattress so thin and blankets dirty. But very quick to rectify. Shower leeks. But great position and would recommend.

Convenient to transport, large comfortable rooms, Wi-Fi doesn't work.

We booked the apartment months out and recieved the confirmation email stating checkin was at 0830. The receptionist argued that we were wrong and checkin was at 2pm. Even after showing her the email we were still wrong. The location was good close to whrre we wanted to be. Room always had a musty smell. We gad to leave the window open. The shower also leaked onto the floor.

I was not a great fan of City Edge on Elizabeth; Our room was dirty and small, and the receptionist asked us if we were "staying the whole night? " So, I assume that paying by the hour is a regular occurrence there. It was relatively cheap though, so that's a plus.

FAO potential employees. The shifts are excellent considering its a hospo job — massive benefit. The salary is average and the job is very straightforward. Management team are very efficient and keep you informed regularly. If you are an experienced hotelier — you may not enjoy this role as much. Generally speaking it was an average experience.

We stayed at Tribeca East Melb. While the accommodation was comfortable, our stay was a nightmare from woe to go! Discovered we'd been moved from the booked site (Gipps) when I rang to arrange a/hours key pick up = more $ for parking and delayed departure as a/hours contact was needed to advise our Carers per the care arrangements for my special needs child the following day. Upon our late night arrival & with the code to access our keys from the electronic safe, I discovered the key pad's code numbers were obliterated & multiple attempts = access denied! Rang the ph number on the booking slip which was thankfully answered at that late hour, we were then able to identify the position of the key pad's letter and collect our keys. Next morning, 'moved my car so the Carer could securely park in my spot. After handover (away from the car 15 minutes) — discovered my car had been towed from Albert St and impounded. A walk to Collingwood and $360+ later, I was reunited with my car. Had the map among the Hotel's info sheets provided to guests been marked with bold red lines and print re the "Tow Away Zone" this would have alerted bleary-eyed guests like myself to this fact of life in Melb. We won't be back!

Good location, just a short walk to QVM, and shopping centres. room had a kitchenette, sofa, washing machine, etc. Really value for money! stayed for 4 nights, sadly, there's no housekeeping available.

Stay away from this disgusting place, don't be fooled by the fake reviews and photos. The furniture looks 20 years old, the room looks like a pigsty and the reception is worse than McDonald's. Actually McDonald's is excellent in comparison.

Affordable clean accommodation.

Awesome value for money. I've stayed here 3 times now and would recommend it to all. Good price for a very nice room and kitchen is a handy bonus.

The only good thing about this place is there's a bed and a roof. My roof had some brown sticky substance splashed all over it, however. The staff was incredibly rude. The phone on the wall had wires hanging out of it and didn't work so if you needed to reach reception you had to use your mobile. Worst. Hotel. Ever.

I stay there for one night and it sucks, just do not go there unless have no choice. Don't worth the price.

Meant to review ages ago. Wouldn't recommend for families but for the savvy single traveller or couples. Ideally situated for trams on Elizabeth Street and not too far from Melbourne Central rail either. Shopping, restaurants etc. Everything Melbourne has to offer easily accessible from here. Skybus @ Southern Cross has connecting courtesy bus.

Great location! Been there for almost a month, and it was worth every cent. Walking distance from all the great spots, the Free Circle Tram and Melbourne Central. If I do come back to Melbourne someday, I would stay there again.

I book online cityedge on elizabeth street — 92 Albert Street for 129$AU per night for the deluxe studio. And It was very nice! Clean and new! You've got a small kitchen in your room and a washer and dryer! Better than a lot of hotels. There is a rental car just infront the street if you want to leave melbourne quickly. Internet is not inclued at all.
