Checked into cabin 18 on 13 July using the SA Tourism voucher. Everything was perfect until I went to sleep. The bedsheet and blanket had full-on cigarette stench on it. The smell transferred to my clothes which was hung in the wardrobe. Informed the reception upon check out on 14 July. She asked the lady before me how her stay was. When it was my turn, she didn’t even ask how was mine. Still I told her of the stench. She seems not to care and gave me a dirty look like I was the one who smoked in the cabin. Never returning back. So much for a big brand name.

Clare Valley is such a beautiful spot with loads of amazing big trees that welcomes shade and bird life. We try to visit yearly!
Staff were very helpful, showers fantastic and a beautiful sparking clean pool. Thank you for providing a great place to pull in with our caravan.

Good location, clean cabins, everything you need provided, Only criticism would be the swimming pool, would benefit from a toddler pool, main pool too deep.

Lovely park under the shade of the big trees. Plenty for the kids to do, wide open spaces, quiet and very relaxing. Cabins are small but big balconies to enjoy.

Lots for kids to do. Pump track and bouncy pillow a highlight. Lovely green surroundings. Amenities block needs upgrade though.

We stayed at Discovery Parks Clare and it was fantastic! Clean cabin, great for kids-the bouncing pillow and bmx track were a hit. Friendly staff and they accommodated a late check out. We stayed 2 years ago for a wedding and had to come back.

Every discovery park we go to has excepted us and our pup friendly clean efficient and even the cldaning staff are amazing.

We had a cabin with excellent heating and adequate bedding. The temperature at night was down to 2oC.
Our group made use of the bbq/ pizza ovens and enjoyed the roaring fire in this sheltered area. Children appeared to be having fun in suitable play facilities.
Clean and well maintained grounds next to information centre for Clare which served coffee etc. And only a short walk to bike trail and nearest winery.

Great time! It is a wonderful place for the kids and we sat in front of the fire place and had pizza and a glass of wine!

Always found Discovery Park well mananaged and clean.
Here in Clare, site are very wide and easily accessible.
My only concern hete is that I feel that the tariff is a bit over the top, even with the discount! Is it the time of year that is responsible for that?

Awesome place for families. Friendly, well maintained amenities. Loved the experience. Maybe should advise that the sites are not all grassed as it looks on the park map. Also should advise when an entertainment date changes. But otherwise fantastic.

Fantastic park with amazing facilities.

A lovely park with terrific facilities. Great for those with kids as plenty for them to do, and those travelling with pets are welcome. Very spacious camp kitchen with everything you need, and huge area where the fire gets lit for all to enjoy, 2 amenities blocks + big laundry. We had a lovely grass site, plenty of different sites depending on how you are travelling. Would stay again.

This is a well managed park. There is a large communal area with fireplace, pizza oven, bbqs & tables & chairs. There are a few different types of accommodation. There is plenty of amenities.

Not too friendly. What does it take to have a friendly smile when you arrive.

Good drive through sites in the park, easy to park the van. Nice location just south of town, with areas tourist information entered from inside the park. Coixel cable provided for TV reception needed to grain reception for a refundable fee. We all enjoyed our stay in this nice park with all the facilities expected in a park on hand.

The Clare park is not the place to stay. First the cost of the cabin. $198 for a cabin at the park while Bookings showed cabin as $138. This was very over priced for what you got. The first cabin had a very strong smell of tobacco and dust. They changed our cabins when I complained. The 2nd cabin was not much better. It is important to note that the bed has only 30cm either side of the bed. Upon pulling the quilt back I was greeted by a badly stained sheet. I took this to the office and was just given another one. The cabins are well past there use. The lounge had a torn seam as well.

Great park. We stayed 4 nights. Spotless clean amenities. Great communal eating shelter with 2 pizzas ovens overlooking the jumping pillow and pool. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. We even enjoyed a Clare Valley riesling with the managers one night at the live music session. We look forward to returning PS highly recommend the pub up the road for a top feed.

Nice big caravan park, lots of sites for different size vans. Clean amenities, great camp kitchen, nice grass area for unpowered sites, nice pool. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Recommend a stop over. Dog friendly.

Every other Discovery park I've been to has been great, so I booked a night here thinking I'd got a bargain. That was a mistake. The lady who greeted us at reception didn't seem terribly happy to see us. She was quite short with us, and seemed disinterested in us and the questions we asked. We stayed in the economy cabin, and while it was clean it wasn't terribly comfortable. The bunk beds were very hard with very thin mattresses — definitely not comfortable for anyone older than the age of 9. The caravan park is a little out of town, too, so you can't just walk to the shops.

Nice park, stayed on the creek side powered site for the Clare Half Marathon. The ground was well looked after, level and bins located close. The park was very busy so was a bit noisy at night but thats to be expected. Early wake up from a group of Kookaburras was a nice way to kick off the day.

Cabins were fantastic inside! They supplied everything we needed and more. The staff were absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. *could probably have more clothesline? Perhaps closer to the cabins. I noticed a little "fauna park" near the playground which was cool! Emu had me running for life even through the fence.

I love it. It is a great caravan park. Very pretty. Clean. Toilets clean. Showers bloody beautiful. The only thing I would like is just one or two toilets on the campfire/tent side. Doesnt have to have showers just a couple of toilets. But it is beautiful.

Love it here. Winderful area in the winter intron of the fire. Alway good to go back.

Nice country setting. Our neighbours on the 2nd night were noisy until 3am in the morning. We have stayed here before and is normally a quite park. Showers are a bit dated but are nice and hot in winter. Overall park is very good catering to families and retirees.

Excellent lovely grounds especially for families as there are lovely playing areas. We received a welcome email. Well done Claire.

Nice place to stop at but it is lacking something. Had a good stay but a little expensive compared to other parks with the same features probably just the area it is competing in.

Beautiful park, kids loved it. I would just recommend they look into ammenities on the grass sites, a bit closer. Overall I would definitely come a stay again, so much more to see.

Discovery Park Clare is in a good location with great facilities on paper. We were travelling to Clare for the Inaugural Clare Classic. The Clare Classic is a cycling event that brought 900 participants plus their family and friends to the town of Clare with a population of 4000.44% of the participants were from interstate. We booked a grassed creek site for 2 nights as our base for this event. Our disappointment with the caravan park started on check in when we were told that the swimming pool would be closed until Monday/Tuesday for maintenance. Riding 160kms on Sunday in the forecasted heat, we were looking forward to a cool down in the pool. Management knew for months that the cycling event was on, and it is disgraceful that maintenance was scheduled at the same time (why not during the week before, or after? ). When arriving at our grassed site, we were surprised to see nothing but dirt (definitely not grass as advertised), and for the 2 nights we were unable to open our front & side caravan windows due to the dust blown up from cars driving along this section of the park. The ladies toilets need better ventilation for both smell and humidity. We booked in advance for the riders and supporters buffet dinner at the Park on Saturday night at $20 per person (which we found out was offered at 50% discount by the Park just weeks before we booked it). It was catered by an external catering company who ran out of food with approx.

Great little park in the valley. Popular on event weekends but not noisy. Stayed in a cabin that had everything I needed except for an outside table to relax in the afternoon sun. Far enough away from road to avoid road noise.

Beautiful park in a lovely town. One of my favorite places.

I just stayed at the park for 2 nights. I was not happy as both nights there was people partying until early hours of the morning. I have a small child which they kept awake. It got to the point that I rang the police as these people got to enjoy there holiday but I did not next time I will stay at a motel as the managers should control what goes on in the park.

Very nice campsite with swimming pool and well equipped kitchenette. Very clean BBQ. Big fridges and Congélos. The 33 km RIESLING Trail bike path is close by. Beautiful vineyards only a few kilometers away. No Wi-Fi.

My boys loved it, pretty pool, great that it and the bouncey pillow covered. I love the big gum trees, clean toilets and air conditioning in the kitchen room too. Well likely be back.

This park is beautiful and the staff are friendly, amenities are clean and the camp kitchen is awesome. But I do not understand why they would put a 50+ couple with no children next to the play area and kids movie show. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend it here.

Clare Show 2017 fun for the whole family even our little baby just soaked up the excitement. We found the shearing demonstration to be a comfortable home base leaving only for the occasional food run and spent time between sessions looking at the many local compitition entries.

Beautiful camp ground with plenty of shade and great play areas for the kids. Awesome bbq area. Highly recommended.

Lovely park lots of tree great BBQ areas and amenities. Receptionist was great considering how busy it was and computer problems Found a site for my little van Thank you.

We stayed 5 days on a powered site. Staff were helpful and friendly. All amenities were clean and well maintained. Kids loved the playgroud, bouncy pillow and jimping in all the muddy puddles. Free Wi-Fi was awesome.

Receptionist had personality and people skills of a dead ant. Got reprimanded for checking into near empty caravan site early. Would I go back next trip through. No way.

Great place for kids. Located on the outskirts of Clare it's largely quiet but a bit of traffic noise from the Highway traffic.

Early check-in request of 1 hour wasn't accommodated but luckily we were allowed to use the bbq area while waiting for cleaning of all the cabins to finish. Lucky I packed tongs. Cabin was much nicer than the budget cabin I usually stay in in February (I come for a swim carnival annually and only need a place to sleep)
The heating was on, lovely and welcoming. The big bed was comfy. Not sure how daughter and 2 kids coped in little bunk room. Couch was far better and newer than the very old budget cabins (still over $100 a night)
Small full size fridge freezer that works well was excellent.
Loved the bouncy cushion, large grassed area and playground. Lots of picnic tables scattered around. Overall pretty good. Although I feel it's quite expensive for a family to stay more than 2 nights.

Camped on a powered site, staff were very friendly, amenities clean, and plenty of space. Surrounding area is filled with quality wineries within riding distance, would recommend bringing or hiring a bike and riding the Riesling trail.

Bathrooms are a bit dated and grubby but kids bathroom is great. Close to Clare and easy access in the drive through sites. Big jumping pillow and pizza ovens were a bonus.

This is an excellent shady and well grassed caravan park with a mixture of sites. The amenities although getting older are of good quality and are serviced and maintained well.
