Border Village Roadhouse Motel

Very friendly service, generous food portions, reasonable beer prices.
The place has a relaxed and open 'vibe' with a number of cabins set in an informal layout (as well as caravan sites).
Fuel is expensive and the cabins are pretty small, but overall we enjoyed our stay.

From the initial contact it was a very pleasing experience. Staff fantastic, rooms great, fantastic shower. Awesome meals good prices. Was getting told on the way to avoid this place, but I believe they are getting it confirmed with another. Cause this was excellent. No Wi-Fi but you will survive.

If you're travelling between SA and WA, you have to stay here! The pet friendly room is modern as well as being very clean. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe and it was also reasonably quiet. The staff are very friendly and were very accommodating to my dietary requirements (thank you chef). You don't expect much in the way of motels but I'm very happy with my stay. Highly recommend staying here over anywhere else!

he loves the food and while picking me up pressies to bring home I've got all the colours in the jumpers! They are awesome thank you.

U meet the most friendly people and the food is delicious most scenic place u could stay at.

We were stuck outside the boarder for 4 days, 4 nights. The staff were incredibly rude. They had poor attitudes and the way they went about dealing with customers during this pressing time was bad.
However, the meal portions were large, but you couldn’t change you side dishes, eg, have salad instead of chips. Overall hospitality was awful.

When I was there many many years ago it wasn’t as large as what it is today as I was hitchhiking across From Western AustraliaTo Melbourne and I remember using my sleeping bag to sleep underneath the truck and in the truck bay It was a brilliant experience and I am joyed it was a brilliant experience and I enjoyed the great service and the beautiful breakfast I had there.

Rooms were very small and the bedding was not clean. There were bugs in the sheets and the air conditioner was very loud — sounded like it was about to drop off the wall! Very expensive.

Clean facilities, good food great people and comfy beds. Will always be our place to stay when we do this trip with the family.

Nice roadhouse plenty to choose from. 24h stop. Diesel is generally around $2 a litre though.

Beautiful souvenir shop. Food prices are correct. Just check your food before taking away. I had a fruit salad over date but they give me my money back without discussing.

The dinner buffet on Saturday evening was really nice and tasty. The shower was hot/cold All in one: friendly staff, nice athmosphere and tasty food. We are on a roadtrip from Melbourne — Perth and it was a nice stop. Edit: you’re absolutely right with your answer, it’s not easy to get a good connection in the middle of nowhere. 5 stars :-) thank you.

Great place to stay if you're traveling across the Nullabor, petrol is reasonable considering it's the only petrol station for kms. Accommodation is reasonably priced, clean and tidy, roomy… The restaurant meals are priced modestly and taste great! The service I've received from all staff here has always been excellent!

Lovely cabins that were pet friendly and nice food at the restaurant. Staff polite and helpful to food allergies. Wish they had Wi-Fi available.

Excellent Road house but the fuel prices are too high compared to Eucla RH which is only 12km away.

Had a cabin which is fine. Turns out we had watched it being craned onto site when here 5 years ago in a caravan. Cabin good. Meal in the bar was fine. Good place to stay. Process about avatars for the area. Would stay again.

Enjoyed our stay including the green chicken curry we had for dinner. Will recommend to anyone.

I’m always dubious about navy blue sheets at holiday places and with good reason here. Stained sheets with pubic hairs. Staff assured me that they had been changed that morning but I think they seriously need to check their laundry service! Complained and staff came to provide new sheets, when stripping the bed the mattress protector was disgusting, so stained! (Have photos) A decent amount of bleach and sunshine would fix this. Feedback to manager was accepted with a shrug. Filthy restaurant toilets; seats soiled and floor had an edging of grime. Considering this, I would not be inclined to eat here. Cabins and grounds were good but would look for alternative accommodation unless huge cleanliness/hygiene improvement.

We stayed here last Saturday night with our dog and was once again happy with our room. We ordered food and it was brilliant. My brother in law arrived later and he hadnt booked a room but was able to book the room next to us. We will continue to stay here when we travel to South Australia again. Its great knowing we can have our dog with us. Staff are great and always friendly.

If I had rated this place less than a month ago I would have given a full 5 stars. But this time around it was absolutely horrible. We got there and paid for the back packers room to be told they don't have any left and we would have to pay $130 for the disabled room. Price hike is something we didn't wanna do but it was a room. We went into the room and it absolutely stunk, it had some kind of insect droppings EVERYWHERE, on the bed, the floor, there was dead bees and flies on the desk, dead flies under the fresh toilet roll, cockroaches on the bathroom floor and in the shower, I'm not expert in running a hotel but I don't think the health department would be too keen on photos of all this disgustingness. Put aside when we went to find someone to clean it, everyone was busy so we left it. When it came to getting dinner, we waited 1 whole hour for a dry and tiny chicken schnitzel with watery gravey (this was a $24 rip off) and my lasagne was clearly just some cheapo frozen lasagne which you justify $22 for. It was cold, hard and the meat was barely meat, however props to you guys because the chips were the best part about this whole experience. We have the girl the right hangs at the counter and she had to use a Calcutta to work out that instead of giving us $4.50 she had to give us $5. This has happened now with 2 of your staff, including the girl who always has headphones in when she's working.
