Nice staff, lovely beds. Really modern and well equipped new rooms. Seems like there are sensors for so many little automatic lights hidden around the room. Minibar has a good selection and nice bathroom amenities. Only complaint was the room service had run out of food late at night save for one option, and it was terrible, inedible. Otherwise lovely hotel!

I visited this hotel with my fiance after staying at the Stamford Plaza Melbourne twice previously and loving it. The Stamford Plaza Adelaide is in an excellent location close to public transport, the service was great with Eddie at the front desk friendly and welcoming during check in, the rooms were large with everything you need in a hotel room including an iron. The reason that this hotel only gets 3 stars from me is the bed was one of the hardest beds I have slept in at any hotel and the pillows were terrible. Definitely not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. My fiance and I woke up sore each morning and struggled to get a good night sleep. Maybe we got unlucky and got a bad room, but I suggest that if you value a comfy bed and a good night sleep you look at hotels elsewhere, however if you are happy with a hard bed and want to be in a great location near everything you need then I would recommend the Stamford Plaza Adelaide.

Fantastic hotel excellent service easily one of the best hotels in Adelaide. Have stayed here lots of times. The all inclusive stay costs 200 and you get a king room 100 credit at la bocca and breakfast for 2. Awesome deal. Staying again this week. Love this place.

Great high-tea option (probably one of the best value and tastiest in Adelaide). Cascades was a bit dark with an 80s vibe but if you're more about the tiny food than decor, this place was great. Also can't go past the famous Stamford Curry Puffs — worth a visit just for these.

The service was outstanding at the bar. We just wanted a pot of tea and were treated so well. The ambiance is so nice there and the seating very comfortable. Exceptional staff. Thanks you.

We loved staying at The Stamford Plaza! The beds were really comfortable. The rooms were clean. The full breakfast in the dining room was delicious. Its parklands views are amazing. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

Great location near the entertainment complex and Adelaide oval. The faculties were excellent and looked as advertised. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The hotel is well located being near North Terrace with its cool bars and restaurants. Room service was delivered within 30 mins of my order. Unfortunately there is considerable noise transmission between rooms and from the hallway. I could hear every word of the TV show playing next door when I was trying to get to sleep! Not to to mention the cleaners fussing and slamming doors in the hallway. Avoid if you're a light sleeper like me.

The location of the hotel makes getting anywhere you fancy in CBD a breeze, but don't feel compelled to go far. Both onsite restaurants are brilliant and popular — consider booking of you want a table for a busy evening. The rooms are comfortable and good sized. The lifts are very fast which I really appreciate.

Great restaurant with excellent customer service. Prices were a little expensive but you get a great experience for the money you pay. The duck breast main dish was very tasty. My wife and children enjoyed the "sushi boat" meal.

Stayed a few times — clean rooms and friendly desk staff. Well located near the casino and the station. Not far from the sporting arena for convenience. Room services meals are worth ordering. Something I dont usually do. Well done for impressing me.

Customer service was excellent! Room was average however the bathroom was disgusting. The drain wasn't clean looked like it had mould on the drain I don't think the drain had been touched in years and the toilet was to far away from the toilet paper. For a 5 star hotel I expected more then what I got. I was disappointed. Would've been nice if we had a tour around or given a guide on what's around. There was no nice view at all only looking on grotty roof tops window doesn't open which made the bedroom very stuffy as well. Bed wasn't bad hiring movies is expensive it's cheaper to go to the cinema to see a movie.

Good hotel but tired. The Stamford is a nice hotel with good facilities. It is, however, tired. The de or was quite old. We couldn't get in to our room until 5 pm which was a let down given we were there early. The staff were really good and in fairness, the price was excellent. The beds were very comfortable and the location is good It will be fantastic when the upgrade the rooms.

Older styled rooms, very spacious and clean. Staff were helpful, and the buffet is excellent for breakfast. Rooms are somewhat noisy, ambient noise from the hotel came through the walls more than in most hotels. Lack of power points in convenient locations was also somewhat inconvenient, it's 2018 there should be one accessible from the bed.

This was the nicest hotel on our tour. The breakfast was lovely, the staff were great, the room was clean and up to date. The concierge Alex was a lark and we where very happy overall.

Love Stamford Plaza. Getting a little dated now, but still good clean accommodation at a reasonable price & in the heart of the city, with spectacular views of Elder Park, Adelaide Oval, St. Peter's Cathedral, Adelaide Festival Centre & Casino, from the 16th floor upwards. Staff are extremely helpful & polite, especially the ones that have been there a while. Had a few issues with a few younger members of staff, who lacked experience & a bit of communication problem with different languages. All in all a great stay & give the youngsters the benefit of the doubt, I'm sure they'll get it right in the end.

We came to their Christmas Dinner, so not staying at hotel. It was nice but certainly not taking a Christmas sack of memories with me. Seemed horribly disorganised. Food was good but didn't seem to be elevated to Christmas dinner status. Only extra food was turkey from a standard buffet. No entertainment or music, and maybe they should've done a fun Santa appearance or something. They got drinks bill wrong in my favour, thought I'd do the right thing and point it out, but they didn't care. Would I do it again, probably not.

Was a great room, and the spa and pool were very nice. Unfortunately there wasn't a sauna like we were told. The staff were all very friendly. The attached Argentinean restaurant did a top notch steak, though unfortunately the service was a bit slow.

They withdraw $100 of bail without being able to return them at the end of the stay. You need to wait at least a month and a half.

Hotel is modern and stylish with superb customer service. Nothing I asked was too much trouble. All enquiries/tasks carried out promptly efficiently and with a smile. Concierge staff knowledgeable and friendly. Attached restaurant served amazing food freshly prepared and the homemade bread and chimichurri sauce were a delight to the senses.

Overnight stay at the Stamford was great. The room was immaculate and clean. Received a $120 voucher to spend at La Boca, which serves amazing cocktails, and includes a free continental breakfast which had a wide variety of food. Good value, great experience.

We had a great stay. They have a very complete television with screen mirroring. Very good location Essential to visit Peel St and surrounding. Great detail they had for our honeymoon.

I only had a few drinks in the bar. It's a nice secluded bar out of the way. Service was great. The bar is comfortable, relaxed and quiet.

Great location downtown by the museums and river front. Alex the concierge is awesome (worth one of my stars in overall rating). Specials at the adjoining restaurant from 4 to 6 are good too especially if you apply a room credit for opting out of a room cleaning!

Stayed for IAC 2017 for a week. The room itself is alright, maybe a little out of date. 1 ply toilet paper in such a hotel is horrible. Our bathroom door lock broke on the first door, so maintenance had to kick it down to get my roommate out. We had to be relocated 3 times over 4 days, and finally the door is fixed. Horrible customer service, had to go to reception to get any updates. Coming home at 9pm to no bathroom door and then having to wait to be relocated isn't very fun.

The hotel is nice, the rooms are clean but fairly standard. We love the cocktail bar down the bottom.

Had a good stay room was comfortable had a goods night sleep, bed was comfortable. Hotel in good location for shopping and close to Adelaide oval. The only let down with room was the doors slam when closing so can wake you when others come home early in the morning. Found all the staff to be very friendly.

Great service from friendly helpful staff. The room had a nice view across to the Adelaide Oval and the meal at La-Boca was great. Great value too for a hotel of this standard.

The absolute best place to stay. They made my wife and I feel like royalty. Not only do I highly recommend this place but I will be definitely comming back… Thankyou to all the staff who made our wedding night all that more special.

The location is great Convenient, pleasant Staff, love the driver that picked us up. He is such a breathe of fresh air. Overall, amazing experience.

Very close to train station, which was extremely handy. Rooms were very clean and looked nice. Service was professional. However, not all the facilities were available during our stay.

After work drinks at the cascades bar. It is a lovely quiet stylish bar. Guitars on bars venue with a great local artist, Sophie Orchard, playing. Really enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back.

Clean well appointed rooms, spacious and modern. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and proficient especially considering we had a large group of 35. The hotel itself is in a perfect location with everything we needed/wanted a stone throw away. A 2 minute walk to the casino and the adelaide oval. Breakfast on both days was consistent and of good quality. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Just completed an over night stay for our anniversary and would like to complement the staff on there helpful and friendly manner to make us feel special. Room was very clean and tidy, bed was comfortable, and had a lovely view of the city surroundings. In the morning we opted for the continental breakfast which was delicious. Thanks again to all the staff.

No free Wifi in my room, haven't been asked to pay for Wifi in a Hotel for 10 years. Sorry I am not sitting in the lobby all night to do my work.

I cant say I'd be in a hurry to come back. The staff were great, but the hotel is really showing its age, plus it's location on North Terrace which should be a feature is actuality a pain to get in and out of. Our keycard randomly wouldn't open the door or operate the elevator. Bathroom is just weird and needs a makeover, but the light senors in the room were a great touch, as were the heavy block out curtains. Word of warning, if you get room one (xx01), ask for a different room, unless you enjoy not sleeping due to elevator noise — we didn't realize until very late coming back from Fringe events.

I had my engagement party there. The room wasnt ready, the staff were unorganized, they 'lost' our balloons that we never saw, our table wasnt even there. Worst of all the way they have handled these issues have been ridiculous. A month and ive gotten no where. ill never stay or have another event here.

Our room was comfortable and well appointed. Teapot was pleasant change from plain teabag. Aircon effective and quiet. Noise from elevator services was noticeable in our room. Good bed with nice pillows. I only noticed a few cleanliness issues. There was a unidentified substance, think chunky foodstuff, smeared on the pen; dust on switches, surfaces and lights. The hotel's lounge bar was a disappointment. The service was slow, complementary snacks had to be requested from staff and the cocktails were average at best. The bar's ambience is the biggest flaw. It is below ground level so no natural light and the artificial light is poorly designed and placed. Live music was ok but the song selection was wrong for the time of day.

Great hotel. Lovely Premier Room overlooking the new Adelaide Oval and northern city. Staff here are lovely. I couldn't fault any of them. Bed extremely comfortable and $20 self-parking overnight is reasonable and easy to work out. Great selection of restaurants and perfect location to explore Adelaide. Highly recommended.

Just another aging hotel in my opinion. The rooms were fine. I didn't stay long so didn't have many interactions with staff. My bed was very comfortable and I slept very well.

Friendly and professional staff more than made up for the ageing building. Has recently been refurbished though some areas still need attention, the gym on the rooftop comes to mind. Rickshaws Restaurant on level 1 is truly world-class, found this place on my second night and didn't eat anywhere else for the rest of my week-long stay.

Great price for a conference. Excellent breakfast spread. Clean rooms. Close to the convention centre. Nice staff.
