Beautiful location and view! There are avocado and fruit trees there that you can help yourself too and the appartments were tidy and comfortable with everything you need. Kerryn who looks after the place is very friendly and does a wonderful job. Thanks!

I recently spent an amazing 7 nights at Hideaway Retreat on Norfolk Island. Kerryn, the manager, couldn't have been more helpful with ideas and recommendations of what to do and see on the island. Hideaway is only a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk into town but is so peaceful and tranquil with not another light in sight at night time. You can do your own cooking or use the BBQ provided to sample some of the amazing produce the island has on offer. There is also a tennis court and plunge pool to cool off in afterwards. The units are clean and tidy with plenty of amenities and although not serviced daily Kerryn was more than happy to provide extra towels when required — we even had our own beachtowels for our use when swimming and snorkeling in amazing Emily Bay. Had a wonderful time and couldn't recommend Hideaway enough — I will be telling all my friends that they must visit and stay at Hideaway and hopefully we will be back also in the not too distant future. I have just returned from 8 days on Norfolk Island staying at Hideaway Retreat. What a little gem this place was. A leisurely 10 minute walk into the Burnt Pine township but once back at Hideaway it was perfectly secluded and at night not another light to be seen with lovely rural views. Kerryn, the manager was always on hand to help with any enquiries and nothing was too much trouble. She helped with ideas of where to go and what to see. The units are self contained and not serviced but there were plenty of towels and if you felt inclined to cook everything was at your finger tips. Best kept secret on Norfolk Island the amazing snorkeling at low tide in Emily and Slaughter Bay. Heaps of fish and better coral then the Great Barrier Reef and the water was 22C in October! I will recommend Hideaway to my friends and will definitely be back. Thanks again for your hospitality Kerryn.

I have just returned from a week on Norfolk Island and stayed at Hideaway Retreat. What a little gem. Within a 10 minute stroll to Burnt Pine shops and restaurants and yet perfectly private. At night there were no lights in sight. Kerryn the manager was lovely, nothing was too much trouble and she gave me ideas of where to go and what to see and do. I would certainly recommend Hideaway for a relaxing stay and I will defintely be back and recommending it to all my friends.

I absolutely loved Norfolk Island. The accomodation was clean and peaceful. The grounds were beautiful and I picked fresh fruit from the trees every morning. I would recommend the Hideaway retreat to anyone travelling to Norfolk Island and I will definitely be staying there again when I travel with my husband for a relaxing breakaway. We had a lovely stay at Hideaway. The location is ideal — it's had to believe you're so close to town in this secluded paradise. The apartments are unserviced, but that was not a problem at all as the essentials are provided to get you started and the local shops are only a short walk or 2 minutes drive away. The outdoor pool area and BBQ are available for guests' use, as is the tennis court and library. The apartments are gradually being refurbished, so some are better than others. My only gripe would be that the bed was not the best, but hopefully this will be addressed with the refurbishment. I would definitely stay at Hideaway again.
