Amazing room with view of the ocean. nice bbq setting outside and tables which all have lights at night make sure u bring mozzie spray.

We've been coming here for over 10 years. It's always beautifully maintained, friendly, private and unique.

Took our 3 pups and cockatiel for a week away. Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Weather was a bit horrible but still such a beautiful place to be. Can't wait to go back again!

Wish I could give it a higher rating, should be closer to 5 than 4, but small things stop it from being a 5. Apartment really good, location right on great beach but cannot walk to any amenities, staff great.

The resort was in a lovely location and had a great view of our own private beach. The rooms were very spacious like a mini apartment. The locals are very friendly, and happy to help. Overall, great place to stay at and relax, would recommend. Only downfall, is not much to do in Bowen. Other than that, great resort to relax at.

Noisy and substandard accommodation not as advertised. Stated 4 star closer to 3. Wotif only showed good reviews. Every afternoon and evening had to shut balcony doors to reduce some of the outdoor noise, no peace and quiet at Rose Bay Resort, though the so called Rose Bay Resort Body Corporate By-Laws stated ‘Occupiers must not create noise likely to interfere with the peaceful enjoyment of other guests. ’ After 2 nights of this my husband wanted to pack up and leave even though we’d paid for a weeks accommodation in advance, and it took two days of travelling to get there, he’d had enough! Used dishwasher once, and it started leaking. Noticed decaying seals around the door of dishwasher. Husband thought it was leaking underneath from pipes (as well). Even though this was repaired after we told the manager, whenever the dishwasher was on, it smelt of mould. My husband preferred to hand wash the dishes instead plus it did not clean properly and dishes had to be re-washed. The racks of the dishwasher were also rusting, where the plastic had come off. Went to use the washing machine, it did not drain or spin, had to empty the water into a bucket and get my husband to take the heavy wet washing to the communal washing machine, though we’d paid extra for an apartment with these facilities. Told the manager about the issues with the dishwasher and washing machine.

Rose Bay Resort is a very nice place with great views. With what feels like your very own beach this resort is fun for the family or the couple that wants to get away for the weekend. The place is run very well and that shows in the relaxed feel of the place.

Best Xmas ever. Highly recommended. It's like you're on a tropical island all secluded to yourself. Very blessed to have such amazing weather.

Really nice location in terms of views, however shops are quite far away. The rooms are nice with plenty of facillities, theres air conditioning and comfy beds which is always good. Good swimming and snorkeling in the sea and stinger nets arnt needed so you are free to swim where ever. Lovley walks and just a great atmosphere in the local area.

Absolutely stunning place situated on a lovely bay that is popular with the locals and travellers alike. Never got overcrowded while we were here and had an amazing atmosphere. Our apartment has everything you could need and town is a short drive away to get your supplies… love love love it here wish I didn't have to leave.

Rose Bay Resort is located on the secluded coastline of Bowen with terrific views of Gloucester Island and the ocean. The bay's rock formations along the shoreline provide protection from 'blowin Bowen'. Relaxing in the sun is simply dreamy. The units are large, clean and very cosy. Their location makes for a quiet stay with little to no traffic noise at night — just the rolling ocean on your doorstep. We were upgraded to the Penthouse and could not of been happier with the accommodation — so happy we stayed an extra 3 nights. Worth every cent.

You are guaranteed fantastic views, wonderful service from friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere at this beautifully kept resort that is practically on the beach at Rose Bay.

Small out of the way resort. Beach frontage onto a quiet bay. Great for kids or to just relax and look at the ocean of an afternoon. Fishing and swimming, snorkelling right outside your door. Generous self contained accommodation.

I stayed here for a recent photoshoot and was so surprised how stunning the location is! Normally I always drive straight up the highway past Bowen BUT next time I will be calling into Rose Bay with the kids and some snorkelling gear. Just in front of the resort at low tide is a beautiful fringing coral reef with live coral exposed. Wow! We stayed in one of the ground floor apartments and they are great size, clean and very comfortable and you just can't beat walking out the door, across the grass and directly onto the beach. Will definitely be back again.
