Pete was a champ. Very friendly, funny & even offered to take our photos. This hidden gem is perfect for those couples wanting get get away from the kids for a night or two. We can’t believe we weren’t aware of this place whilst living in Airlie a year ago. The view is beautiful.

This place is gorgeous and you cannot beat the view. Pete is a legend and upgraded my room!

I highly recommend this resort. Not only do you get an awesome view of the ocean and peaceful surroundings but the staff will bend over backwards for you.
I woke up with a crook back this morning because of the mattress. I mentioned this to the owner and he shuffled things around giving me the best room with the best view! It's more than I expected. A big thank you goes out to Peter for making my stay a most pleasant one. I'm more than happy. I give this resort 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Loved staying here. We were met by Peter who was very friendly and welcoming. The view from our room was amazing. The sea and a beautiful sunset. The rooms are such good value. I would highly recommend The Whitsundays Rainforest Retreat. If we are ever back in Airlie Beach we’ll definitely stay there again.

Recently stayed at Whitsundays Rainforest Retreat for a blissful 'mumcation' without the kids and my partner. Peter was so hospitable and surprised me with a great deal to upgrade to the King Honeymoon Suite. Great friendly service with stunning views.

Highly recommend this place, absolutely amazing experience and loved every minute of it! Breath taking view and great facilities. Will definitely be back.

This place is gorgeous and the view is spectacular and the staff incredibly beautiful… I cannot say enough! Nothing was too difficult for the staff. The managers Julie and Peter were so extremely kind and generous. This is by far one of my favorite accommodation stays ever. This trip was for work but I can't wait to bring my wife back, even my family and friends and book the whole place out. Thank you guys so much for making me feel so welcome.

Absolutely fantastic views great rooms. The King room was unbelievable. The owners are the most fantastic hosts. You must go there.

This place was the best choice to visit Airlie Beach and Whitsunday area. We have the opportunity to visit the rooms in the Villas and the Honeymoon Suite wich is amazing. The views from there and from the main house where you find the pool are incredible, really beatifull views to the bay and the islands. The staff and service is unbeatable, Pete gave us the best advice and choice for a best trip around the islands. The location is really good, close to Cannonvale with shopping centre and everything you need and just a couple of kms from Airlie Beach, we walked to Airlie Beach and is a beatiful path. 100% recommendable, we will definnently come back, you feel like at home in this place.

Fabulous! Clean, amazing views, and Peter very attentive at all times! Do not… if I can come back someday… to that wonderful place… but… if it was… would stay there again! No doubt! Excellent value for money! Stay to always remember!

Absolutely gorgeous view, I ran out of options due to the floods in towmsville for work and Pete helped me. Had the whole honeymoon suite to myself and was great! Will definately be bringing my partner sometime.

Best place I have ever been in Australia so far, great location, amazing views and Peter and Jules are extremely nice and knowledgeable, make me feel like home the second when I stepped in their house. Come and stay for a while, enjoy the life here and you definitely deserve this little paradise!

Loved our stay at the rainforest retreat! Views are amazing, of Airlie Beach and of the jungle from the huge windows in the rooms and the great porch with BBQ area. The indoor pool is also very nice. Comfortable bed and conveniently equipped share kitchen and living room. Had a short but great time!

Stay in the units and loved them but also stayed in the king suite and omg the view from the spa is to die for.

We had a lovely stay here for our honeymoon. I'm so glad my husband booked this place. Peter provided great service and this was one of the best accommodations we've had ^_^ I love the indoor pool and the great view of Whitsundays on the balcony / rooftop. We sent our drone up while enjoying the balcony bath tub and it was fantastic!

Was not advised until after check in that this was shared accomodation. Not sound proofed. No privacy. Other guests in shared villa were extremely loud from 6am, after staying up with the television blaring until after midnight. Cleaning staff came and went throughout the afternoon and morning, leaving their supplies laying around. Not a pleasant stay. Would not recommend, unless you are renting out the entire villa. Beautiful views.

Flew into Proserpine, for this fabulous stay in this wonderful location, we had the honeymoon suite and we were treated like royalty! We used the main house as our own and it was a fantastic experience, with use of the pool and BBQ's, shopped at Woolworths, for great fresh food. It is up a very steep hill, but Peter and staff were very helpful getting us to and from the small town of Airlie Beach. You really would not want to walk it! We went sailing around the Whitsunday islands, and swam in the lagoon, three — four days are enough in this small town if I'm honest if you are looking for entertainment, but more time there would be fine if you are just there to relax. Thank you Peter and thank you for the lovely Scottish airport transfer guy, very efficient and very interesting, I think he was called John.

Paid $400 deposit and received a personal confirmation email with photos of the view from the owner Peter himself back in July. I thought of following up and turns out the rooms have not been built. I received no feedback and can not get hold of Peter after my first inquiry. I made 9 calls, 2 messages and an email and got no reply. I am writing here in a desperate attempt to get in contact with him. We have holiday plans in airlie and people from ACT. What a horrible experience Update: Peter did came through and sorted out the accommodation. Not sure how and what was involved on his side to fix it but we managed to all stay in the same unit. The view form there are really good and the rooms and other areas are really clean and tidy. It is certainly one of the best sites around with a see-view in front and a tropic rain-forest at the back. It made up for the all the other issues we had.

We lucked out and had a whole villa to ourselves (a Monday night). The central complex was fab — particularly liked the massage chair and we had a competitive game of pool. Villa was a beaut — we cooked ourselves a lovely BBQ on the terrace — surrounded by lots of native wildlife. A must stay! Bring your mosie spray thou! Only development point would be if the Wi-Fi extended from the central plaza to the individual villas x.

I would never recommend this place to anyone. We had 3 payments come out of our account that the owner would not address. Tried to modify our booking nut got no response til it was too late. In all, our one night cost us 5 times the price. Had to take pricey cabs to get anywhere for groceries. The website is deceiving. Wolf in sheep's clothing. The rich just want to get richer and they don't care who they scam their money from. I hope you sleep well at night!

Where do I start? My partner and I stayed in Airlie Beach for 3 nights, so with only having this short amount of time, the accommodation was an important part of our stay! We were really excited to arrive, as we had communicated with Peter before our stay. He seemed very friendly and helpful, and offered to book some trips for us. When we arrived, the reception area was right next to the inside pool area. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable stripping down to swimwear and going for a swim right in front of where he sits at his desk? We were then shown to our villa, this is where it hit us. It was a SHARED villa. We were given a tiny bedroom with no privacy in a four bedroom villa shared with three other couples. And this is meant to be a retreat? We and some of the other couples in the villa agreed that the wording on his advertisements are completely misleading and did not realise we would be sharing this villa with other guests! DONT BE FOOLED! The bedroom consisted of tiny floor space, a shower inside the room (so there is no privacy to shower if you wanted it), a TV on the bedside table, only a few inches from where your head would lie on the bed and a shared balcony. This place just has no sense of privacy what so ever. Then we found our bedroom didn’t even have a working lock. So first we find out we are sharing a villa, then find out we can't lock our bedroom!

The villa is a good and the view is amazing.

My husband booked a night here online, sight unseen and we weren't expecting much other than a comfortable bed. Pleasantly surprised is a huge understatement. We were blown away by how amazing the place was. The room (suite), the view, the hospitality and friendliness of the host — could not be any better. Not only was our mind blown by how nice the place was, we couldn't believe how affordable it was! We booked a second night immediately, and hated to leave. If we didn't live a 17 hour flight away, we would come back every year!
