Enjoyed our stay so much we’ve rebooked!
Cabins were comfortable, friendly knowledgeable management/ staff and the on-site fish n chip shop was AMAZiNG! Thank you Captain Cook Holiday Village… see you in Dec/Jan 2022

Terrible experience, terrible customer service. Was on our way back to Brisbane from Airlie Beach. Made a last minute booking online to stay just the one night — Room said it was for up to 6 adults. When we rang, Kristen immediately assumed we were a group of young kids even tho we are 24-26, told us the room did not fit 5 and it was an error on booking. Com’s system and we can “go have beers somewhere else”. Did not get to stay here unfortunately as we were judged by the sound of our voice and weren’t allowed to stay as it would “cause a noise complaint”. As you can guess it was quiet disappointing when you’ve tried to book the cheapest place for one night on the way back from a long trip and you get stereotyped over the phone. I wish anyone wanting to stay here good luck but I would advise against it.

Had a 2 night stay here, was a lovely setting, very clean and welcoming, the fish & chips from the on-site chip shop were awesome, close to beaches shops etc, will be back.

Immaculate dog friendly spacious campsite with modern amenities (toilets, showers, laundry, camp kitchen) Friendly staff. Fish and chips on site. What more could you ask for. Highly recommended!

Recently stayed here for 3 nights, park was nice. Facilities clean and staff friendly. Great place to stay and even better you can take your dog. We will be back.

Great place to stay, we received an upgrade which was unexpected, rooms are lovely with a well equipped kitchen. Park is very well maintained and the pool is lovely. Will definitely be back!

This holiday village is a very tranquil spot. Nice little rocky walk to the beach. Great for traveling with a dog. Amazing management and staff. Friendly with a smile. Amenities are clean and functional. Also there is a fish n chip shop right on the premises which is super yummy. Thanks for having us. See you soon.

Could not recommend these guys enough! from the initial phone call to make a reservation — krista went completely out of her way for us and corey was extremely helpful! they lent us a padlock for our truck, found out it was dads bday and gave him a beerholder and were very helpful with us for parking and accommodation and finding our way around 1770. Would come back again.

We just spent 5 nights here at captain cook and we all had a blast. The staff were great, the amenities were nice and clean and well kept and the fish & chips were delicious. The kids all loved the pool and the private surf beach. Thanks for a great holiday.

Thank you guys so much for having us, was such a great place and people! I recommend staying here if your looking for great place to camp or even with your RV, a 5/7min walk to the beach that is right behind the camp site. And they have everything you need from hot water shower to a bbq area and it pet friendly. We will be back.

What a lovely caravan park. Great bush setting and a reasonable though hilly walk to the beach. Very clean amenities and though it’s a largish park you enjoy lots of privacy as there are so many trees.

Beautiful, spacious van park. Completely surrounded by rain forest. A pretty bush walk to the unspoiled beach.

Lovely mix of tropical, treed bush setting, quiet campsite with very tranquil pool area. Very comfortable camping at a good price.

Stayed here on friday night in a cabin cabin was very comfortable and very friendly and helpful staff the new gourmet fish and chip restaurant was amazing best fish and chips every got coffee in the morning from the cafe that was great too I definitely will be coming back.

Rustic park, like camping was in the 60's. Amenities were clean but Qld camping guide listed cafe and restaurant as being available. However these were not open. That was the biggest disappointment.

Yes this place is friendly and pets allowed but mostly untidy and basic cleaning of common areas. The Wi-Fi did not work and no garden edges or cleaned walkways. The amenities have cobwebs and grime around the edges of the floors. Basins had soap scum still on them and mould around outside. Place is tired and I think management needs to "manage" their staff.

If you like bushland this is for you . Pets allowed… great value. Good staff.

Lovely place very recommended. But ne aware they don't like you changing sites. We were offered a site which had no shade for the dogs. We insisted and they accommodated.

This place was value for money and there hospitality was excellent they rang me the day we were arriving to tell us our unit was ready at 900 am that great service.

We have stayed for 3 nights. It was a very comfortable cabin in a beautiful bush setting and the staff were very friendly when we arrived.

Cabin was full of ants and it is bit far from shops and tourist points. But it's beautiful shaded park.

Very friendly staff and the amenities are decent too (all below average from our previous experiences, but in good shape). We hoped that this camp would be more open and closer to the water (looking only at the map and a camping app), but it's in a forest instead. It's fairly dark and you essentially need a car to go to Agnes Water/1770, although they have a private access to a part of the beach that's fairly remote (15m walk).

It was terrible. All places were skew! We booked an unpowered place and got the most remote place for $32! Only a few other peoples were on this camping ground and it was enough space… Unfriendly personal on the reception and not really clean. We were extremely disappointed and I will never go back to this horrible caravan park.

Great caravan park with spunk. Not your typical caravan park with all the bells and whistles, but that is exactly why I liked it. It is a simple (not too many spaces with makes it feel less crowded) park with everything you need. It offers a pool, kitchen, hot showers and has its own beach access. Also a great location, close to town. However, it is not beach front, but that means it is not super windy. The staff were extremely friendly, particularly the two ladies in the office (the American and one with glasses, sorry I don't remember your names). They went above and beyond with their customer service.

Great friendly staff, quotes relaxing place to stay. The cabins are a little dated but most importantly they are kept well cleaned.

Good size sites among the trees provides a forest camp atmosphere. This theme is continued in the appearance of amenities blocks and cabins. Amenities are kept clean and the establishment seems to be well managed. Delight staff too.

Friendly stuff and clean showers. If you are taller than 180cm you'll appreciate being able to shower without having to squat. Privat beach access a plus, price not being as advertised a minus.

The staff was nice! Bathrooms were clean enough. We rented a non-powered site for one night and didn't have any problems. It had been raining all day so the site was muddy. Would be better if there was a small cement area to park. Also the site was a little downhill, so with the mud and more rain, we were afraid to get stuck and have trouble getting out in the morning. We didn't.

Excellent. Food at take away cooked by Sam was very nice. Her plans for the future sound great so you who follow in the new financial year should be in for a treat.

Best caravan park in the area. The managers are super helpful and lovely. It's a great place for families with sites for tents and caravans as well as cabins. We're already booked in for next year.
