just the mattress and chunky pillows were a little uncomfortable, would love a bottom area balcony where the pool is next time please, x

Didn’t have a great experience with staff. Loved the swim up room. Wrote a complaint letter to get a defensive response from management. Quite embarrassing really. Such a shame. Beautiful place. But management need to leave hospitality.

If you had a pool access room the experience is great. Do Not Book Garden view. It is not as advertised, mouldy curtains, so many things wrong and they don’t care. I have asked to be moved, I have written to them and no one responds or cares and the arrogance is unbelievable.
Our experience of the restaurant and staff has been fantastic. The pool area is lovely. I just didn’t get what I paid for.

Would like to say what a wonderful resort Lagoons is. After our stay was so relaxing. And Management and staff were great. Service was outstanding. Breakfast was very nice and well priced. Thanks again to all at Lagoons 1770 Resort. And see you again in a few weeks.

The team at 1770 Lagoons Central have gone out of their way to help make our stay and my Birthday special. We have seen contrasting terrible service provided by Heron Island with excellence in service at this resort. Recommended if you are looking for somewhere who cares about your experience. It is really disappointing how run down the premises is. We loved visiting the Lagoons, however we have decided this would be the last time.
The general upkeep was appalling and the customer service by the main front of house man was appalling.
Wayne the manager was accomodating in changing our room (upgrade we paid for) once we got there and realised the studio would not be comfortable considering the weathwr. Although the main guy told us twice we would get a call back within 10 mins. We had to follow up he initially said no more rooms yet I could book 2 rooms on wotif. Thanks Wayne for the save. The most appalling thing is, is we paid $100 to upgrade. On our second night we filled our spa to use. Once it got filled it was leaking everywhere (two major seals on the outer part were streaming) called reception. Main guy said 10 mins (this is his thing) and a call back. Never recieved. We went to reception 15/20 mins later to see what to do (do theu want us to keep it filled so they can see or empty) and we were worried as it was a lot of water on the 2nd floor. Main guy (i cant remember his name but a thick accent) said he is waiting for his colleague to call back. Another 10 mins passed and we get a call to say its ok we can still use the spa but we cannot change rooms as they're now fully booked. I said we dont want to change rooms, the spa is unusable and dangerous as our entire patio was now soaked and we really just wanted them to tell us what to do.

Beautiful relaxing place. Food delicious and lovely pleasant service by the staff.

Nice complex but rooms and housekeeping could be better. When folding out the sofa bed it was choked up with hair and food. The air conditioners were also full of mould. We bought the food and hair in the bedding up with management but never received a response. Resort facility with caravan quality house keeping.

Let’s just say my meal was forgotten about and other tables received their exact meal after I had complained so was never given the opportunity to taste the meal as I walked out hungry…

Excellent place to stay had a room overlooking the pool. Clean room and great facilities didn't eat in the restaurant as I was with friends who had bought food along. Great massage and super relaxing environment.

Great new resort 50m from the beach. Excellent restaurant — friendly and helpful staff.

Very welcoming upon arrival, which was about 5pm due to roadworks. Room was lovely, spacious and exceptionally clean. On the second floor the view from the balcony overlooks the entire pool. In summer it could get very noisy, but in July it's quiet and relaxing. Plantations restaurant delivers some delicious food. The menu is small and seasonal. From breakfast to dinner the meals were at the next level. The attention to detail was superb. A fantastic stay to relax and unwind.

5 stars for service! We were upgraded from Garden View to Pool View room at no request. Friendly staff. -Lost appeal and luxury feel for being tiled throughout the apartment. -Shower felt lower class due to the style of shower head given the size of cubicle and the poor drainage style. No appeal to bathroom. -The spa bath on balcony was awesome for relaxing in the evening. -Light room service for midway through was lovely. -Basic tea and coffee facilities. Shame there wasn't a plunger for coffee. -Such a shame the pool is freezing cold especially for the pool access rooms. — Spa in common area looked green and smelt unpleasant. We were turned off by that but it didn't stop others.

We had such an amazing time at this place. Our room got complimentary upgraded to one of the best room at the Resort. Hot tub in the balcony and stunning pool view. We tried the restaurant and the food was nice as well. The location is just perfect: 5 minutes walk to the beach, 5 minutes drive to 1770 e 5 minutes drive to the shops. Definitely we will be back.

WOW this place is five star all the way. Staff are super friendly, great service and top restaurant. Food was delish and cocktails you can’t stop drinking! We had amazing weather and if you’re able to, take a trip out to Lady Musgrave Island through Lady Musgrave Cruises. Also, a must see is the Paperbark Forest Walk, only 10min drive from the Resort. If you’re looking to get pampered, Anjea Day Spa is a must (on-site)!

All great. It is a wonderful place which I could never afford if they would not have a discount. The only note is: the hotel was at least half empty and I could benefit from a better room if offered a free upgrade as the rooms facing the big road are a bit noisy at night. Otherwise — fantastic.

Had a wonderful stay here last week for 6 nights. Great rooms, lovely pool area, restaurant was great for breakfast and dinner; and the staff were all very helpful and very friendly. Would def stay here again.

We have just stayed with friends for 5 nights (like actually just left there about 2.5 hours ago) with an added visit from my parents for a night earlier in the week. This has been one of the best holidays we've ever had. This resort is awesome. Every single staff member we encountered was so welcoming and friendly, with special mention to all the brilliant staff in Plantations restaurant & bar and in reception. We had a beautiful room overlooking the pool, the pool itself was amazing and we spent many hours chilling there drinking cocktails and snacking on cheese platters. We cannot think of one negative thing to say about our stay (except it wasn't long enough and if we're to find anything else, the only other thing we could come up with would be there's no view of the water BUT the beach is only about 100-150m from the resort though, so not really an issue). Awesome resort, fantastic staff, great food & drinks and the day spa is devine. We will be recommending Lagoons to everyone we know and really really hope to get back here very soon. Thanks so much to everyone at Lagoons for making our holiday amazing.

Lovely place. Nice rooms with everything you'd need, great pool with kids area. Balcony area with spa good to chill on once kids are asleep. Good restaurant food. Near the beach if you can be bothered walking.

The resort is set out great. The food is excellence, but the restaurant set out lets them done not enough ventilation, it is to hot not enough fans.

Good place to stay. Rooms are great, clean and big. Pool is too cold to swim so lost a few stars. Breakfast was quick easy and tasty.

Good place to stay but ask for the room you want around the pool otherwise you will be stuck roadside. We loved it last time but were disappointed this time. The rooms are beautiful and clean. Staff are friendly too.

We had an absolute fantastic stay at Lagoons 1770. The room 92 was beautiful (an unexpected upgrade but a wonderful surprise). We had a pool view and on the balcony we had a spa that was very private. The room had a kitchenette that we used to make our dinner every second night. There was a washing/ driver tucked away in the bathroom so we could wash our clothes. The staff were really welcoming and friendly and the went above and beyond, it was my birthday on Wednesday and my wife asked staff could the do a desert for my birthday, they said of course leave it with them, well the day of my birthday there was a knock at our door and it was a staff member with an ice bucket full of crownies and at dinner my birthday desert was amazing. The lagoon pool was so big and great to swim in and we loved the big spa in the middle the jets in it were so powerful we loved it. The restaurant had amazing food the pork belly spring rolls were delicious. My wife had a facial at the spa and she would recommend it to anybody. We had a fantastic stay and we will be back again and will try a swimout room. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Stayed here for 5 nights in early January, loved it the pool area is amazing, the staff are brilliant, and the restaurant OMG the food is to die for just amazing and great prices aswell, would recommend to everyone.

We spent an absolutely magical week at lagoons 1770. Beautiful rooms and the pool and spa are amazing. We will definitely be back again. 10/10

Most perfect Getaway Resort!
Clean and classy rooms, with a welcoming Restaurant. The spa on the deck is great for a romantic night in or even for children entertainment. Not to mention The lagoon/ pool are and staff customer service is 5 star. Although my partner and I live a few hours away, we will love to try get back each month for time out. 5 stars for the Accommodation, Activities, Restaurant and of course the warm welcome of the staff. Thank you all for your memorable experience!

Really nice place and room but very disappointing for the breakfast buffet and the staff wasn’t really welcoming especially for Christmas time … for $800 3 nights we were expected a little bit more.

A few hours after departing I received a phone call from management stating there was a pillow missing from our room, and there would be a debit in the amount of $50.00 from our visa credit card. I advised we did not have or remove the pillow from the room. Seriously who in their right mind would be so stupid as to steal a pillow, or anything for that matter when we have given the receptionist our names address, telephone numbers, E Mail address, licence number and credit card details. For us this has been a lesson. We will no longer be checking in or out of any accommodation until management have confirmed all belongings. It, s not so much about $50.00 but the fact remains, we have been labeled thieves & liars. Is not a feeling that is nice to experience and does not sit well with my husband and myself. So please be aware as this could happen to you.

Awesome place, pool view rooms not very private but the whole place can be extremely quiet at certain times of the year. Staff are great and rooms are clean and modern!

Find a word better than absolutely fantastic and I'll write another review… All the staff are always welcoming, happy and extremely helpful… the rooms are spotless and very well presented… the restaurant food and staff are exceptional… The manager "Big Simon" what a great bloke. All I can say is if you're staying in the area there is nothing better than laggoons 1770.

We stayed here for two nights. Our room was very comfortable and clean. We liked the modern decor. The resort itself has a fantastic pool with lots of room to spread out. We are at the restaurant twice, and were very impressed. The service was friendly and helpful at all times. Highly recommend, and would definitely stay here again.

We were treated a night out by our beautiful Finnish guests. Whoever is the chef and works in kitchen the food is cooked to perfection every single bit. We had 5 main dishes 2 entrees and 2 desserts, all different in one night, we all did a table test taste. AMAZING Mastered the ART of cooking food dishes to perfection in taste and presentation was very appealling. Divine. I will tell everybody. Waitresses and table staff so charming and catering to every need. Keep it up as this is agnes best food and service and world class. Could not fault a thing. Thank you again to ALL staff and our wonderful new FInnish Friends.

My wife and I dined at this restaurant. I had a variety of oysters and a wagu steak. My wife had a lamb dish for mains and scallops for entree. For desert we had the chefs special. It was some of the best food we have ever eaten. The staff were great. We met the chef to tell him he was a legend. Do yourself a favour. Spend the money and strap yourself in for a wonderful night!

We had such a nice 3 nights here. Rooms are spacious and modern. The spa on the balcony was really nice overlooking the pool. The food at the restaurant was absolutely first class and was some of the best food we've eaten for a long time. The staff at the restaurant and reception were so friendly and lovely, definitely makes us want to go back soon.

Plantations restaurant was great. Well presented and tasty food in nice surroundings. The view over the pool with a full moon was perfect.

My Darling wife and I stayed at this beautiful resort back in May 2015, celebrating my wife's birthday and Mothers Day. Such a wonderful surprise of a birthday card and a bottle of wine for her on our arrival supplied by the resort. Love that we don't have to think about what is for breakfast as it was included in our booking for the room. We stayed in an Executive Studio with a courtyard view which was well equipped with everything we need for a getaway weekend. Extremely impressed with the customer service from all the staff including the cleaners. Can't wait to return at Christmas 2015 and intend to stay longer.

Don't miss out on the "Cookie Monster" cocktail Yummmmm A bit pricey but worth the stay with self contained rooms. Walking distance to Angus Waters and short drive to 1770.
