We stayed for 1 night in the deluxe room and it was ocean facing. The room was good with great view of the beach. The desert safari tour with sand tobogganing was a unique experience. The bus driver was definitely funny and there were roller coaster like moments when bus took some turns to reach the sand dunes. The dolphin experience is a bit over rated but it is extraordinary if you think that these are wild dolphins and not in captivity.
The resort is very nice, but is aimed mainly at younger couples or groups. Activities other than 4x4 tours are not for elderly folk. Unless they are adventurous. Overall a very pleasant 2 days even though it rained when we arrived and when we left.
I had the most glorious time at the idyllic island paradise! Just travelling an hour from Brisbane and you could be on the other side of the world… Tangalooma Island has it all! Amazing conference and event facilities, over 60 engaging activities and tours and incredible restaurants and dining facilities to choose from. Every interaction with staff was friendly and courteous.
