But the one thing that let’s this place down is — it doesn’t have enough off street parking for all their guests. So your left to park in the street where it’s limited to just 2 hour parking during the day.

Went to down stairs restaurant moss on woods for dinner 7.10 pm got told there not doing anymore sittings at restaurant but will do room service, hrs are 4 pm till 9pm.

The original room we booked was old and apparently due to where it was located in the hotel the air con doesn’t work there was hair in shower.
Jessica (I think) was very willing to help and moved us to another room. The bed was not comfortable the mattress topper was clumpy so it was much like sleeping on rocks.

Nothing about my business trip was pleasant. Poor customer service. Dirty towels. Mouldy shower. Small space. Poor internet connection. Air con locked on 24 degrees.

Beautiful suite suits me perfectly jus a little on expensive side for mackay tho.

My elderly Mother and I recently stayed two nights. Our rooms were exceptionally hygienic clean, well maintained and very quiet. We had traveled all day with long flights for a family funeral and too be met by a friendly helpful receptionist was a welcome relief. We ordered room service twice, once for sensational egg & bacon rolls and hot coffee at breakfast which came at the time requested on the order form and the second was for dinner which came up to the room fast, was delicious & very reasonably priced.
The General Manager Fiona was so lovely and accommodating having pre organised Glen20 and Hand Sanitiser in my Mother’s room due to COVID-19 concerns she went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable.
I will definitely be back to this wonderful Hotel.

Reception was very welcoming on our arrival and excellent on our departure after a 2 night stay. Housekeeping staff were very helpful. Moss on Wood has a very good range of food on the menu. A high recommendation from us.

Huge sized 1 bedroom suite. Absolutely amazing! Balcony and also a bar, restaurant and gaming room downstairs. No need to drive anywhere. If you want to stay in, you can order room service or cook something in your kitchenette. Perfect!

Easy and convenient and very neat and central. Home away from home.

My family had breakfast here at Moss on wood this morning and it was a beautiful meal, the food came out fast, the setting was clean & inviting, the service was impressive it’s been a long time i’v had such perfect service while out for a meal, we definitely will be back… the only thing I hope you could add would be a kids menu it was hard to find something the kids would like but after taking a few things off and adding a couple we got something my daughter enjoyed.

The free to air TV reception us almost unwatchable due to pr reception or signal splitting to create snow not what you would expect or accept in 2018 as adequate. It took 3 days to restock the mini bar (that’s just poor) and the bar ran out of tonic! Therefore no ability to serve a gin and tonic even if they had tonic no fresh lime was available and they advertise 4 star I have had far better service and facilities at other lower star star rated facilities! Well below what I would expect! I would also add that there is no explanation from reception! Chose a better option if you want service as it is not at Rydges Mackay.

Unfortunately we ate at ridges last night so sad that the food was really terrible. Seemed that Parmis had been previously cooked and reheated so bad it probably should not have been served — as for the taco salad it was worse than dog food — the young lady who tended our table was lovely however have had had worse food.

Stayed with my family. They were very helpful with us throughout our stay. Room service dinner was beautiful. The TV had a fuzzy screen but that's the only thing I can fault. Would recommend to singles, couples and families.
We stayed in the deluxe spa suite and there was plenty of room for me, my partner and 2 young kids.

Cannot recommend this place enough. The room is big very clean, bed so comfy, air con excellent. Nice neat kitchenette. All the staff from Front Desk to bar staff, chefs, house keepers, waitresses n security are all so helpful, very polite, excellent customer service. The food is over n beyond, very very fresh, the oyster kilpatrick is huge yummo. Nice touch was different games on the tables in bar area, instead of pool, there is a ping pong table, absolutely had the best time. Ample undercover safe off street parking. Thank you to everyone for making our holiday so enjoyable.
