Had a great time. Staff were very helpful and friendly :) we checked in after hours and they made it very easy for us aswell as booked our day trip to sea world for us. Apartment was simple but quiet nice and we had a great view of both the ocean and the river.

The place is beautiful! The view from the balcony is outstanding. You can see and hear the waves!

I have read reviews about cockroaches and apartment being dirty but thought I would still give benefit of the doubt… Arrived at the hotel at 9am (an hour before my due checkin time as specifically requested) to be told to come back around 12-1pm. After a little bit of a discussion I was able to come back at 10 as another room had opened up. Got to the room and 'dirty' was an understatment. Our feet were black within 10 minutes, couch had dirt and crumbs, built up of dust bunnnies everywhere and the Foxtel didnt work. Thinking I was just tired decided to breathe through it for a few hours until I went to the bathroom and closed the door… MOULD built up behind it and dried urine around the base of the toilet. Went and looked through the kitchen and there was old food built up on spatulas and dirty old cloth in the cupboard. Owner advised to throw it out (no way was I using it). When I called reception to request a cleaner room or a cleaner to come and spend and hour or two cleaning I was informed to "return the key, get a refund and find another hotel". Best decision I did!

Staff were friendly, however for the rate paid it wasn't worth it. Room was only serviced once (after the first night) over an 11 night stay. Encountered the odd cockroach or bug most days coming back in to the room (all windows and doors were closed). One positive is the location though, very close to trams and only 10-15 mins walk to surfers paradise.

Location, location, location. We're still here and don't wanna go home. Views of both the surf and the lakes depending on which way you look. Beautiful sunsets over the mountains and sunrise over the beach if you're up early enough. Rooms are not huge but are comfortable. Facilities are great and staff friendly. We were lucky enough to get a refurbished room and have no complaints. Will be back again if I can talk the missus into it.

Great views. We stayed in a newly renovated studio. Beautiful. Great location. Across the road to the beach and not far from Cavill Ave. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Nice pool with spa, steam room, sauna, bbq area abd games room. Will stay here again.

Lovely little unit. Recently renovated. Beautiful views. What else could you ask for. Also a pool, sauna, steam room, spa, squash and tennis court.

The air bnb appartment no 1001 at 10 th floor is just breath taking.

Very run down units I've looked at two to rent both balcony and in side need a little more tlc. But nice place good location nice staff.

Very friendly Hotel, good reception, helpful staff, many facilities (spa, sauna, squash and tennis court, billiards, personal kitchen…), very close to Surfers Centre (7-8 min on foot) and the Sea (200 m) only negative points: the Decoration a little old and a rather slow lift.

Worst hotel to be. Sorry to say but very disappointed.

Could do with a renovation. But for the money I paid can't complain. Had everything we needed and location was good for my needs. Staff were freindly and helpful. Would stay there again.

Great view and staff, tennis court and a pool! 2 minutes walk to the beach.

Frendily staff and great location, slightly out of the centre of town but that's what I liked about it. Only a 5-10 minute walk to everything. Loved it.

Not a five star hotel but 5 star views and service.

Budget apartments, but cannot fault anything here for the price. The room was well furnished with complete kitchenette and full sized dining table. Views were amazing and the reception staff helpful. Pool, (small) gym and games room. Close to everything at the top end of Surfers, couple of hundred metres to the tram station, and right across the road from the beach. WILL stay here again!

The location is close to city. Within walking distance. There is a nice view of gold coast beach too.

Great location the diim is tired and overdue for a renovation.

Beautiful newly renovated suite. The brand new cooktop was not working and was not able to cook for paid groceries. I spent money on groceries (that we could not cook) and dining out meals. The one amenity was not working and broke our budget for our stay.

It was filthy, smelly and half the things in the apartment didn't even work. We only stayed one night before finding somewhere else to stay.

Have been living here for some 20 months, and absolutely love it. Closest thing to heaven that I will ever get in this life.

I felt like I was in the 70s video clip being at this place if you're after value and the Gold Coast from a bygone era stay here.

Worst place ever don't go there your better off sleeping in your car. The management will steal anything that's not nailed down if you leave it unattended at any time They are horrible nasty people who treat you like second class citizens they are scum Her name is Jone and his is Ray Please avoid these people and this place horrible horror people.

This is the best resort my husband and myself have stayed in. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The view was to die for. Will definitely return.

I had arranged a mini break for my hard working partner and her son. On arrival they were immediately Disappointed Rooms aged whilst looked clean had a grubby feel. Public areas aged and dilapidated, not so clean. I had made a booking sometime ago and they where looking forward to a stay at a lovely resort but this was not acceptable. Within the hour of arrival they tried to speak to management — not sympathetic. It was such they could not stay. They asked for a refund but declined. My advice check your destination carefully — all is not what its may seem from the pretty pictures. Cannot recommend!

A good hotel. Apartment-Studio. There is a kitchen for preparing meals. A good view of the city and the sea. Car parking in the basement. The price is not high. Close to the Centre and the sea.

Most Breakfree properties are excellent however Equinox must be avoided! The public areas are dirty, dark and in desperate need of an update. You need to ask for a special key to use the aircon and the window blinds are in total disrepair. Worst of all, I switched on the light one night in the room and saw about 30 cockroaches running around the room. There are many properties on the Gold Coast so don't go to the Equinox.
