My partner & I stayed 2 nights to relax after the floods in northern NSW. Upon check-in we were told we could park across the road and the hotel would validate our parking. During check out noticed they charged us $30 per night. Desk staff was rude and informed me none of their staff would neglect to tell me they in fact charge to park at their hotel. They actually charge more than the parking lot. It’s free parking on the street — that $60 would have been helpful to rebuild after the floods. I’d have either used free parking or paid the $7 a night at the lot if the staff had of told me. Repeat customer no longer — stay away, rooms are that small it’s hard to stand beside the bed! Rude staff & closed restaurant!

Rooms a bit on the small side but really nice. Staff are excellent.

I am currently staying here and the Hotel Room and staff have being the best I have experienced in my 12 years traveling alone. Especially when I first got to my room and wasn't happy with it, they allowed me to upgrade to a premium room with a balcony and a TV with youtube. The rooms themselves are very spacious and modern with good 70s style character to them. I would rate this Hotel 5 stars and I would definitely stay here again when I visit friends in Brisbane.

Seriously unhappy paid over 2k for a deluxe room only to have no air-conditioning got moved from level 5 to level 3 for a working air-conditioner but the TV is smashed! spoke to reception they said we will be upgraded to a premium room level 4 go to the premium room and we have 0 view which we paid extra for in the beginning we are looking at a brick wall. there was no mention of cost to there off site parking which is costing us and extra 300! I will never book another mantra hotel ever again. We are now trying to get a refund there is no way we are staying here! this was ment to be a stress free holiday a relaxing room and all we have is trouble.

Was so disappointing to check in and be given a room with a smash TV. Contacted Reception and was told we should not be put into a Block Room. It was late but we decided not to change.
At reception this morning, we mentioned it again and they apologized but not mention of a credit or anything. Disappointing when you had a chance to redeem yourself and the Mantra name.
Poor effort Mantra Terraces, clearly your systems are not working when guests are checked into blocked rooms.

Great for river walk Quiet but nice to have a balcony Helpful staff and great breakfast.

Basic hotel room. Queen bed great bathroom. All so clean and comfy. Great staff every step of the way. Nice little bar with good food. Great price too.

It is a quite place and close to the CBD. The staff are kind and helpful and the big one is free Wi-Fi.

Avoid! terrible staff so bad decided to go elsewhere. Use the money I wasted on training for better service. Avoid this hotel. Crap location too.

Crappy uphill location. Staff were rude. Didnt even stay at hotel it was so bad, went elsewhere. When confronted by third party for refund, they said they "didnt care". A v o I d. Look forward to your 'turnaround' excuse to try cover your inferior service in your reply or say something stupid like cancellation policy. Address your customer service.

I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for accomodation with an onsite resturant which actually keeps it Kitchen open after 6:30pm. We recently spent two nights at the hotel and on both occasions (Thursday and Friday) went to try and get dinner. We were informed on the first night that the place was so quiet they decided to close early and on the second evening that the kitchen was closed at 6:30pm. While I appreciate that a business has to run effectively it may be worthwhile informing guests at check in of the onsite arrangements. The staff were friendly and the rooms aligned with the tariffs but for me the added inconvenience of having to unexpectedly find dinner elsewhere was not in line with other similarly priced establishments.

I've stayed at the Mantra Terrace a few times. Having a good think about it, although it's not a resort or one of the "flash" so called five star hotels, the Mantra Terrace is actually a five star! Bear with me. The Mantra Terrace is a small neat, well maintained hotel with very friendly efficient staff. The service and cleanliness is what brings this hotel 5 stars in my book. Location — tick. Presentation — tick. Value for money — tick. Cleanliness — tick. I booked a simple …hotel room, all that's needed for a solo traveller (or even a couple). Much to my (pleasant) surprise there was a nice "welcome back" card from the staff and management. The room has a spacious bed, very neat bathroom (shower was great), it's air-conditioned and has a good sized TV on the wall. There is a balcony (I loved being able to open the door and get fresh air) with a table and a couple of chairs. If mini-bars are your thing, it's well stocked with a reasonable selection. I was able to make myself a coffee in the morning with a very efficient jug and coffee that's supplied. The staff of this hotel make it easy by not being intrusive, to do this well in amongst office blocks and apartment buildings says a lot about how well they must work together as a team.
So, while the Mantra Terrace is not a resort hotel, for someone wanting a good comfortable, well located and priced hotel on the edge of Brisbane it deserves 5 Stars for all that it is.

Small room but cosy very comfortable bed. Prices on snacks etc are very expensive all snacks like 4.90 for small snacks. Parking is 30 for 24 hours. But still a good stay.

Good location, within walking distance to main city Centre and public transport. Well appointed unit.

The room is very small, but enough for two days, the bathroom. Wi-Fi is not going very well.
It's three minutes from downtown.

Beautiful hotel with generally amazing staff. Extremely helpful, kept our luggage before and after our stay so we could make the most of our time in Brisbane. Have us handy hints about getting to the hotel and a map of the CBD. There was a mix up with our room configuration and the first staff to deal with it mentioned she hadn't been notified by the booking site, which was a bit annoying because that isn't my fault. The staff the next morning were much nicer and offered to swap us but we didn't mind as the first night had been fine. Overall awesome and would return.

Wonderful Hotel located in the heart of the city. Stayed here for 2 nights during our trip around OZ. Staff are are amazing so friendly and nothing any trouble for them even checked us in at 9am after an overnight flight. Rooms clean spacious and great value for money. Would highly recommend that you stay here you won’t be disappointed Thank you Mark and Paul.

Thought it was going to be good cheap accomodation. $99 a night BUT add another $30 per 24 hours for parking. I didn't know nor was I told when I booked. And when I questioned it the staff were like robots parroting " it's in our terms and conditions". But the coffee and tea weren't even filled up so one cup of coffee in 2 days. But here is the kicker, the car park that my car was in wouldn't accept the pin that the mantra gave me. Both mornings it wouldn't let me out making me late for my appointments. Sooooo I decided to pay with my credit card and they charged me $112 for two nights. Unfortunately I have one more night booked cat this place on Monday night. Glad it's only one night at least I can have one coffee. I have had better stays in the pilbara in outback WA. Will be lodging a formal complaint to flight centre. All round second rate. It was like staying at a motel run by the key stone cops. Staff had no idea how to deal with an irate PAYING customer caused by their second rate service.

The rooms are not well insulated for outside sound. I could hear repair work loud and clear even at 9 pm. At their price, I am sure one can find better options.

Great room, friendly staff. Location is a bit noisy but that can't be helped. Parking is across the road from the hotel so getting luggage across can be challenging but overall a pleasant stay.

So just arrived to mantra. First of all no parking anywhere. Parked in secure parking (5 mins in total & cost me $15) your reception staff were hopeless. The young boy who served me was less than helpful. Swiped my card for room hold of $100 on a business card and tells me I had no money on my card. Finally sorted as it was the hotels EFT machine not my card and I ask about parking he said yer in the park across the road. So I re parked the car and they tell me that …I use a special pin and they would activate it straight away so I could park. So today it’s raining very heavy and this has made it frustrating to say the least. So illegally parked my car, ran back to reception to get them to activate the code for parking and they basically just laughed at me and said you shouldnt have left the parking, and to now re park in there and then when you leave you will

I’m never one to complain but this is less than acceptable by your staff.
The entry cards to the unit are so worn out it took atleast 20 goes in the lift for them to work. Finally enters the room and notices that the mini bar was not fully stocked, made a simple phone call to reception saying (not that I’m using mini bar) but there bar isn’t full and I don’t want to be charged for something I haven’t taken. They then says okay work out what’s missing and let us know: (sorry mantra but I’m on a working stay) this is what your staff are paid to do. Very very slack service.

Love the position of this hotel so close to city and Queen St station just a quick walk away. Very affordable and great staff will Def be choosing to stay here again.

Good clean modern rooms that are quiet, friendly staff, easy check in and check out, and good value. On site restaurant is good (can do vegan) but also well located for restaurants in surrounding area or easy walk back to main part of cbd. Normal mantra quality hotel.

On check in I asked the receptionist if I could pay my acccommodation and she advised that I could pay when checking out. However, two days later I approached another receptionist who was duty and asked if I could pay in cash and he advsied that it was okay he would charge it to my credit card ignoring the fact that I wanted to pay in cash. I even asked twice and same response I got. 'It has been charged to my credit card'. On check out the receptionist told me I could leave and they would charge my card after they have received bills from the canteen bars. This was totally pissing me off because I wanted to see my invoice which was not received from the hotel and to confirm whether it matches the items I have had. Still now not sure of the payment made to the hotel. I prefer to settle everything before leaving the hotel. I was not happy that I just left without knowing all what has been charged to me. However, good and comfy bedroom. Small than I expected but smells good and great location. Also, staff are very friendly.

My room is great; nice decor, big comfy bed, bathroom is spacious and the shower is good. However, when I was there there was a lift out of order (there are two), which can't be helped. However, there are no stairs! I was on the first floor and had to wait ages each time because the lifts are very slow and there are seven floors. Also, the access cards are rubbish. When I eventually got into the lift I would struggle for ages for it to recognise my card in the reader. By the time it worked, someone on the seventh floor would have called it and I'd be waiting for the slow ascent before I could key in my floor again. I'd then spend ages trying to get into my room waiting for the card to be recognised in the door. This wasn't just my card either, the member of staff on reception confirmed it was a known issue. Very frustrating place.

Good hotel for a night of business travel. Comfortable room that is well appointed. Good location and very nice staff.

The rooms are a little smaller than expected, but comfortable and clean. Convenient location. The staff have been brilliantly friendly. The restaurant/bar attached has great food and staff as well.

Very centrally located and well accessible from CBD. It was all clean and the room was comfortable. What annoyed me a bit was that you have to pay for the WLAN.

I was very disappointed. My friend and I booked in to stay Christmas eve through to the day after boxing day. The room was fine but we were not told that for those three days we were booked there would be no room service and the restaurant and bar would be closed so we were unable to have any food or drink on the premises. We were not told when we booked in, there was a small sign re cleaning etc but didn't know we couldn't get breakfast until we asked what time we could come down for it. Christmas morning was spent 'foraging' for something to eat and evenings instead of a relaxing drink and quiet dinner we had to find somewhere that was open and not booked out, not something that we had anticipated and I won't be coming back!

On check in staff member Angel could not get me a key/swipe card. Sent me upstairs with new staff member who duly let me in to room, I told her she had to leave the swipe card with me or the electricity in room would go off… she had to run downstairs to get me a swipe card. When I came in later that night the card had not been activated so I couldn't get up to 3rd floor in lift nor open my room door. I also asked about cost of car parking in morning. Girl was apologetic but kept saying "I'm not sure" "i really don't know". In morning at checkout staff member was welcoming and seemed efficient and helpful but automatically assumed that I was paying with card. I payed with cash and was told the cost and deposit on hold $255 would be released. It's now 2 days later and the funds have not been returned to my account. In terms of the room, the bed was really comfy but the room was "grubby" looked like hadn't been cleaned properly in quite some time. Lots of dust on skirtings/ceilings. Lots of dirty marks on walls and doors. Dark brown tiles in shower don't hide the mould. Room needs a good deep clean. Could have been a better experience.

Very nice and modern room. Slightly small, but comfortable. Very comfy bed. Bathroom new and clean. Good location. Great price. Lovely staff. No free Wi-Fi though unless you're a mantra member.

I was only in Brisbane overnight but had an excellent stay. The room was comfortable and all the staff were lovely. Special thanks to Angel for his help with public transport directions.

The location was great. A quiet street in the city. A great restaurant adjoining with a menu to cater to any taste. My only complaint is my room smelled damp and musty. On the flip side, I was at the end of the hall so nice and quiet.

Nice, neat rooms although a little small. Friendly staff and a good location. Great place on a budget.

Brads Service was fantastic, prompt & polite. The room was good value for money. We had a few special requests and none of those were an issue or made us feel like we were a pain. Brad is great at what he does. Would stay again :)

Nice reasonably priced (from agoda) rooms. Close to city. Rooms were clean and seemed well managed. Bathroom design was a bit weird as water seemed to drain close to the toliet and very limited place to put things.

Spring Hill location allows for easy access to the CBD as well as Central Railway Station. Generally, the Spring Hill Hotels are reasonably priced. Good quality iron and ironing board. Quite a bit of noise if you are a light sleeper but given I was really only there for a bed and shower I had no other concerns to highlight.

Friendly staff and very patient with first-time hotel goers. They were very accommodating and very helpful with any questions or requests we had. The restaurant downstairs which serves breakfast for hotel guests was superb and the room we stayed in was very comfortable and was very clean. The bathroom was very nice and again very clean. 4 stars, very friendly and helpful staff, lovely room for the cost, very clean and well kept premises.

This was a lovely hotel, especially for the price I paid. The walls were a little thin, but the room itself was very nice. The staff were friendly and attentive to my needs.

Absolutely amazing experience staff went above and beyond. The rooms were clean with amazing linen and decor and the shower was even more amazing… made me feel like the king I am. 10/10

Very comfortable expensive but comfortable.

Very clean. Spacious toilet/shower. I think we had a room that's for disabled because of the extra amenities in the shower. Quite disappointed that we didn't have a bath tub as in the pictures (that's why we booked it). The receptionists were friendly. It's a bit of a walk to the city as well. Overall, comfortable experience for an overnight stay.

We were told they only had double beds, so get ready to snuggle. The relatively low room rate is offset by the additional charges for every amenity. The bathroom is really a wet room, will stay constantly damp.

We had problems with the parking which were a bit stressful. The room was small but comfortable. Cool bar and great food.

Hotel and bar/restaurant staff lovely and very helpful… Restaurant food was a tad fancy for me. Breakfast was lovely, reasonable prices all round. Coffee is one of the best ive had. I will be coming back.

After reading some of the reviews I did wonder however after I booked in I was more than happy! A spacious room perfect for the time I was planning to stay & the bed was mega comfy too! The walk in shower pumped hot water with a great pressure! All the staff were helpful and friendly & great food available too. I would stay here again without any questioning.

Have to say I absolutely loved my stay. I stayed 4 nights and 5 days, wish it was longer. Super friendly staff who made me feel very welcome. Beautiful, clean room, but the complimentary breakfast in the O Bar and restaurant was the icing on the cake. Absolutely gorgeous food, it was so hard to choose which one to order. I fully recommend this wonderful Hotel to anyone who is travelling to Brisbane. I will be back, and again, thank you all at the Mantra Terrace Hotel.

Small boutique hotel. My room was quite basic however it was clean. Close enough to walk to everything Brisbane has to offer.

Nice and clean, convenient location.

The hotel is conveniently located within 10 minutes walk of Central train station and the CBD, including the shopping strip at Queen St Mall. The rooms are quite small, but clean and comfortable enough for a short stay. There is a restaurant next door, as well as a really nice cafe (Jak + Hill) which is also open for dinner. The hotel has complimentary access to the nearby Fitness First gym, which is located on Elizabeth St, about 10 minutes walk away.

Smaller rooms but in a good location and we'll kept.

The mantra terrace hotel is in a fairly good location. It'd about a 5 minute walk downhill to queen street mall. The rooms are clean and tidy but a bit small. The bar down stairs opens for breakfast 7 days, but is only open for lunch Monday-Friday. The staff were very friendly, however there seems to be issues with the room keys. It isn't very practical these days to say the key can't be near a mobile phone.
