The best meal I have had the pleasure of eating in over 10yrs, a big pat on the back to the chef and staff.

Had the best lamb cutlets, eggs crisp and fresh. Ice cold beer and the staff were beaut. Hubbie said his sausages were very good too. Have a walk around the town to see the fabulously well kept old buildings.

Fabulous service and fantastic food. Really go out of there way to make you feel welcome. Thoroughly recommended 5 stars ⭐️

The taste also offers cheap accommodation but really cheap. This is a monument suggested to come over and eat a meal.

Good pub. Central location. Bit pricey but it's a nice place to enjoy a cold one. Staff were nice and friendly.

Staff are great, friendly, happy and attentive. Food was great and plenty of it. Happily go back next time I'm in town.

I came down from Brisbane for a long weekend, stayed at the GCH & was extremely happy with that decision… I didn't want to go home! The old Hotel is progressively being given a new lease on life but holding onto it's beautiful heritage charm. The Pipe & Drum pub shows off its celtic roots & is your good ol' country pub with the locals, the workers & the travellers. The Coffee Central cafe is a warm, and relaxing space — while I was there for my late breakfast (all that fresh country air and a great bed to sleep in) there was a small group of ladies passing through, having already had breakfast and were now moving onto morning tea and struggling to choose between the cake selection — must admit I did think of skipping breakfast & going straight for them myself (not today but I did definately have my chance). The dining rooms were also very lovely BUT the food! It was devine! Still your typical staple pub selections, but a few others and chef's specials thrown in to keep it interesting. The Roast Pork. This was amazing! The meat so tender, the crackling perfect and the veggies were a plenty! I did say WOW aloud when the plate came to my table & a little embarrassed by my outburst was relieved when I heard other patrons do the same. I was happy to hear that the owners have sourced what they could from local suppliers for produce, meat, beer & wine, which for these country communites I think is the best thing.

A great country pub with beautiful food and a selection of local craft beers on tap. Can't thank the staff enough for their help and would be happy to stay again in the furure.

Dinner was great, large and supplied quickly. Fireplace in dining room was a cosy touch.

Not happy with the service. Got entree after the main meal. Was not cooked as requested. Forgot the sides.

What a great little hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. Amentities were clean and well kept. The food was great and the atmosphere was welcoming. Staff were very friendly. Thanks for the great stay.

Our room was exceptionally clean, the beds were comfy and so warm. The two shared bathrooms were clean and, as two females staying alone, we felt safe while using them. Tony, the manager, was friendly and went out of his way to help us and the food was devine. 5/5 will stay again.

14 blokes on motorbikes stay here for the weekend, what a great pub, tony the owner did everything for us to make our stay great, all bikes undercover, dinner fantastic and breakfast awesome, nothing was a hassle and a bonus he also rides, if you have a group of mates going for a ride and looking for a place to stay then give tony a call, we will be back, cheers rangi and the boys.

Glenn inn's, great city, loved the heritage look town. Will go back there again. Beautiful place.

Fantastic hotel, beautiful restoration. The owner was extremely helpful, and the staff was great. The rooms all had electric blankets, the showers stayed hot and the guest area upstairs with lounge and kitchen facilities was perfect. Dinner was excellent, and the menu had some great choices, lots of locals dining, always a good sign. Came down to a raging open fire in the dining room, fantastic start to the morning, then the most amazing breakfasts arrived. 5 stars☆☆☆☆☆

Excellent place for all ages. Family friendly, great food and very welcoming. I recommend this place for everyone because there is no judgement at all and everyone is treated with respect, the way people deserve to be. Accommodation is great, very comfy and quiet with a touch of modern age to an old classic hotel. Excellent to see a local business growing so diverse. Highly recommend coming to stay, you won't be disappointed.

Easter Sunday travelling back to Brisbane, with very limited eating venues open, we called into Great Central Hotel and had the most wonderful very large serving of Pork roast with heaps of veges, delicious, gravy was amazing. The meal for $16.90 each included a dessert. We got the beautiful sticky date pudding and the apple & rhubard crumble to go, as our meals were so large. Can thoroughly recommend the Great Central. Small criticism, we found the dining room didnt have a real lot of ambience.

Excellent refurbished Bar, warm very comfortable beds, great verandah, beautifully cooked food that tasted sublime, very good, friendly, with a big welcoming and capable staff with superb value for money. Why not 5 stars? The simple reason is an English accented middle aged female waitress was inflicted on us in the Dining Room. She did not take our order for 40 minutes, brought the Starter and Main course together as we complained about the wait. Was surly and offhand with us, said it was the Chefs fault several times and then proceeded to walk off, with a backward riposte when asked not to serve all courses together. This person should definitely by customer facing at front of house as she is not capable, went out of her way to be awkward and is potentially costing you money. Let her stay in the back please.

An absolutely wonderful meal, with more than a touch of my Scottish heritage in the atmosphere. The crisp skin salmon was divine, with the addition of fetta to my salad just lovely. My husband had the steak with mushroom sauce which just pulled apart servings are very generous. Staff are very attentive and couldn't be more helpful. We thank them for excellent service and a wonderful meal last night. Will definitely be back again.
