Lovely guest services, great use of space, restaurant right on the premises but separately owned, great location! very reasonably priced for being a 17 min drive to perisher. We saved over a thousand by staying here instead of at the bottom of the mountain. Will definitely go back xx.

Duck and weave so the TV doesn't knock you out. The TV is in a really awkward spot next to the bed and will take you out if you forget about it in the middle if the night. The unit was very clean except for behind the bathroom door. The walls are also quite thin — we could hear our neighbours TV and his cough. The unit is well appointed and across the road from the small mall with supermarket, cafe's, eateries, gift shops, snow shops, doctors etc. The restaurant/bar adjoining the unit is very good. Give the spiced rum ribs a go if they're still on the menu!

Pleasant staff, good location and decent price. However the room had a strong smell of disinfectant.

Clean, inviting and comfortable room. Great welcoming from the front desk and the whole place has a good feel about it. The hot water is instant which is great when its cold. Will be staying here again.

Great place to stay overnight. (Summer). Close to town centre and next to its own pub and bistro.

Stayed in summer, family rooms are large and comfortable. Rooms were quiet, although it was summer so less people around.

Good central location, well appointed rooms, but lack air-conditioning for summer use. Parking is in the open so not so good for winter or storms when it hails. Beds are a bit on the soft side.

Very nice inside the building and room. It can get a bit warm because of no aircon but it has a fan. Nice big beds and good for 6 people or 7.

A pleasant surprise. Service was extremely sharp and room very well kept and furnished. Spacious and comfortable. Very well presented and equipped.

Not a pleasant stay. Dirty rooms especially bathroom had hair all over the floor, what looked like dried blood on the doona cover and toe nail cuttings on the stairs. Reported this when paying account and they said they were in the middle of the spring clean so does that mean they only get cleaned properly ONCE a year. Don't bother staying here as there are many others in the area.

You will love staying here! I had a beautiful room and I was thrilled with the amazing customer service from the manager. I felt like I was staying in a very classy ski resort.

A last minute booking saw me staying at Alpine Gables. Reasonable pricing, great charming brick building, and a really easy straight forward after hours check in are the main draws. Reading some other reviews it's evident the owners are listening to feedback, with new ceiling fans and flat screen TV's installed. Bed was comfy and the water was lovely and warm in the shower. Downsides include a small heater for the large room, and somewhat poor lighting for the kitchen. Also no bed side tables and accompanying outlets for phone charging, which is typical of older buildings. Better than expected for the price, so I have to give 5/5.

Lovely check in lady offered some great dinner suggestions. Room is spacious and comfortable. Location can't be faulted. For the price, wouldn't hesitate to come back. Good location base for Mt Kosciusko hikes.

Dated building and room furnishings. I was only here for work so as long as the shower works well and the bed is comfy (which they did) it was alright. If I was coming down here for the holidays I'd have a look at what's around.

Throwback to the 80s. Rooms are old and tired. Walls are paper thin and so noise from adjoining rooms or the pub next door can be heard. Or the next morning when they take the trash out with doors slamming. Kitchenette has no cooktop. Would not stay again.

Rooms don't look like the picture but they have all you need and are spacious.

Friendly staff，good location，but dust around bedside lampshade and they did not clean room everyday. Also they do not have kitchen in the room.

I stayed there for two days in room 40. The room was exceptionally clean and quite large for what I paid. Internet was alright. Service was excellent and staff wee friendly. Happy to stay there again.

This is the 3rd consecutive year my family has chosen to stay here by night, whilst we play at Perisher by day. :) Great, functional rooms. Lively bistro & games, reminicent of a bygone era in Oz pub culture. Beautiful position, with the gorgeous sprawling lake by our back door. Always a holiday to remember. :)

The room was great — very roomy with 2 beds upstairs and one down. Very comfortable + comes with free Wi-Fi (maybe summer only). The bar had great live music.

Great location next to shops with a 24hr servo in winter months. Great food and bar. Cool design large split level rooms. If using beds upstairs will be hot in summer but fine in winter. Also steep steps. Very Average old beds We received 1GB FREE DATA for 2 night a stay 2014 winter Hard to dry clothes as no drying room. 1/3 the price of on snow accommodation. Onsite parking but will fill in evenings with bar guests. Would stay here again.

The raw cuts of meat at the meals counter won me over, but the service and local were great too.

Great place. Pay only Wi-Fi though.
