Old and run down! needs lots of repairs and tidying up around the grounds. Furniture also very old and raggedy. Would not recommend this Hotel to anyone.

Property is super outdated, and poorly taken care of. Room was falling apart, tiles coming off, paint chipping off. Just dirty — shower was mouldy, curtains were covered in mound and who knows what, smelt like they hadn’t been changed or washed since the place was there. No floor towels or hand towels provided. When I asked for them, was just given towels. The shower silicon had completely come away so every time you showered the whole bathroom got flooded. Wifi wouldn’t work, had to message the owners who had to come and look at my phone (server issue, not a phone issue). Fixed it but were extremely rude. No one was ever at the desk to inform about these issues, and if you call just goes to message bank stating “you cannot leave a message”. Called the listed mobile, answered by a man who no longer works at the property. Pillows, sheets/linen were cheap. Mattresses were super uncomfortable (worn out and very old). Unserviced, so no housekeeping for our entire 3 night stay, which would be fine if they didn’t charge the same as a serviced hotel and they didn’t claim they were a “4-star property”. Dog friendly, however they provide one dog bowl that is completely covered in rust. Would not recommend, not worth the money. Would have left for somewhere else after we arrived if anything had of been available, unfortunately being the Australia Day long weekend nothing was free.

We stayed here for a single night as a walk in. The room was clean and spacious but the pillows on the bed were flat, hard and well passed their use by date. A quick call to reception and newer thicker pillows were supplied. The bathroom is in dire need of a complete overhaul. It’s beyond tired. … The toilet seat didn’t fit the toilet, there were tiles missing from the shower floor, the shower rose had water only dribbling out even with the taps on full, the bath had a large repair/patch with was poorly done which is discoloured and very tough, the enamel on the vanity toss is peeling off and the vanity cabinet is rotting away at the bottom and sides, none of the tapware matches. The water hammer was so loud we thought it was actually machinery in the adjoining rooms. The television was the size of a postage stamp The staff were courteous and polite but nowhere to be found after 6pm and at checkout which was 8;30 for us The adjoining Chinese restaurant was lovely, the food and service were greet and very reasonably priced The hotel room at $170 was well overpriced.

I couldn't even face having a shower. There was mould all over the bottom. No staff, front desk or phone to ask for a clean room. No food or even breakfast. One star at the most.

Pet friendly is only positive thing about the hotel. Fridge was so cold, it froze everything. Shower screen leaked so much, had to put a towel on the floor. Was also covered in mould. Walls so thin, that we felt we were in the next room watching tv. Crying babies all night, which kept our dog on alert mode. Air conditioner was useless. A lot of bugs around door areas. Spa was not working. No table to eat or drink at. Chairs were all outdoor furniture, not comfortable. Thin pillows and beds uncomfortable.

1. Dead bugs on bathroom floor
2. Spider webs everywhere
3. Shower glass panels leak so you have a wet bathroom floor
4. Mirrors not cleanand
5. Fridge door jammed
6. Flat pillows
7. Dirty around cupboards
8. Old dog shit in the yard
9. Found cigarette ash right in front of our door in the morning (creepy)
10. Ceiling smoke detector taped over (FIRE HAZARD)
11. Place stank like cigarette smoke
12. $240 a nite! Wtf! I don’t care if you are on the central coast — that price is bullshit
10. For that money we expected a lot more than a dank run down old motel.
11. Owners have a lot to answer for, we will not recommend this place — others be warned.

This place is not a Resort at all. I paid $150 a night. Standard Queen room. We were put in a queen room with 2 queen beds. The shower had missing tiles on the floor. The edge tiles on the balcony were off and sitting on top of the air conditioning unit. The cupboard where the coffee cups were kept had human hair in it and a coster wheel of a bed base. The glasses in the fridge still had orange juice pulp around the rim. For the size of the room the Tv provided was about 19" (the size of a computer screen). While we were at Dinner and the movies between 5pm and 11pm somebody from staff had entered our room and emptied the bin and changed towels. We had all our stuff out at this time. You couldn't swim in the pool as it was covered in dirt on the bottom and leaves and sticks floating on top. The furniture and bedding was dated from the early 90's. Fridge hardly worked and the wood was rotten at the bottom. There was no alarm clock and no room phone. The bio on the property states room service but this is none existent as there is no way to contact front desk. When these complaints were made at check out nothing was done to sort these issues out. There were other couples complaining about the same things. I stayed in room 206. I would not recommend this property to any body at all. There are better places to stay around the same price or cheaper.

I just wish you could give a zero star rating. Perhaps I mistook the dog friendly resort for dog only? The bed sheets were filthy with unidentified green and yellow stains accompanied by some adorable brown paw prints. After asking staff to change the bed sheets, only the quilt cover was changed which was an improvement as it only had a few bindis. Wifi was falsely advertised, fresh towels contained a friendly spider and a few free bindis. Cutlery was limited to a single spoon accompanying a dirty fork. After all the complaints were made, we were disappointed to be advised we weren’t welcome back.

This place is woeful. We booked a room with 2 queen beds snd get a queen with two singles that we couldnt push together because the room was too small. No furnitue on the deck. Window sill filthy. No drinking glasses. Toilet didnt flush well. Curtains hung crooked. Poor lighting with bedside light not connected. The worst place I have ever stayed at.

Had to sit in the area next to the door for Wi-Fi and it was very cold. The room is just ok but the lighting was not working in all lamps. No over head light just the lamps but no globe in some. Asked if the lights can be improved and was suggested I sit next to the door to read. That is the only place the light is overhead.

We were greeted by the friendly staff on arrival and shown our pet friendly room 103. Our family of four holidayed for the first time with our kelpie and we wondered how it would go. I have to say it could not have been better! While the decor is a little dated that's not what we were here to look at! We wanted a clean, secure room that met our needs and a relaxed atmosphere and that's precisely what we got! Staff were always on hand for queries. The kids divided their time between the pool and games room. We even gave tennis and basketball a go! There's plenty of exercise room for our kelpie in the grounds away from other guests for his fave game of tennis ball fetch. He could go for hours! We had a TV, fridge, toaster and kettle in our room. We breakfasted in our room at our leisure and ate out the rest of the time. The games room has a dinner table and TV and lounge. We dined in and chilled one night — it was great. There was another family that had the bbq outside. Everyone was relaxed! Despite it being the hottest time of year the air con wasn't needed, we were in the ground floor apartment and it was naturally cool. Oh the parking! Almost forgot. Free and ample. Park right outside your room no need to walk through reception. Most days were filled heading down to Wamberal beach. Kids swam between the flags and the kelpie hung around the dogs off leash area for fetch in the waves. Gosford council has a map online of local dog friendly beaches.

I would suggest you stay somewhere else unless you were hard pressed to find another place. The place is severely run down, we had numerous issues with our room such as: 1. Kettle, coffee, tea and sugar but no cups? 2. Ironing board didn't stay up and almost burnt myself twice, iron supplied leaked all the water you put in it. 3. Bathroom issues, hot water tap in shower leaked hot water so when you turned the taps off you got burnt by hot water the funny thing is they tucked a hair tie in to try and stop the leak. We ran out of toilet paper (only the one roll) had to go to reception (closed) and ended up stealing the toilet paper from the communal toilets. 4. Only 3 lights in room, one at entrance and two small opposite side of bed and only one works so very dark in the room. The place looked dirty and has obviously been neglected. Grounds look terrible with the pond that looks like the KOI even want to get out. Tennis court is horrible with net that is degrading. Basketball ring is bent and only about 7 ft high, the place is not a resort but worst then a motel. Also if you stay multiple nights they don't make up your room each day so be prepared to have nothing done. $250/night for them to do absolutely nothing. Worst place I have every stayed at and i've stayed at alot of places.

Our family booked two rooms. The upstairs room (room 223) was actually pretty good — yeah, not fancy but clean and beds were hard (which I like). Problem was with the downstairs room — it was musty to the extreme. There is obviously a dampness problem in the room (room 118). One of my family had to go and sleep in the car — it was that bad. If it was just the upstairs room then it would be 3 stars. However the downstairs room would be 0 stars if it was possible to give this rating.

Imagine your local el-cheapo $2 shop managed a motel … cheap but it does the trick. Poorly maintained, a bit run down, unloved, and stuck out in the middle of nowhere. A 2 star motor inn thinking it's a 4 star resort. Half a star for allowing my dog.

This place is over-rated for its condition and lack of maintenance. We were astounded to find the supposedly 'upgraded' room downgraded for a start; then the cleaners that just came through gave us only one towel… there were no landline so each and every time we needed something we need to walk downstairs. After walking down for the towel I wasn't in the mood to go down again, after my shower, to change the cracked champagne glass and the milk for my tea. Overall it was not the "Resort" as claimed as cabinets and fittings were falling apart within around the resort. The owners need to re-evaluate their pricing; star-rating and make some major changes to make this more livable and bring it back to its original state.

The only thing I liked is plenty of parking I hated this resort as the service is so bad. We stayed there for two nights and the next morning we went out and left the sign on the door to make the room up. We came back in the afternoon and they had not touched the room I asked the reception to make sure they do the room as we are going out again for a few hours, we came back and they only thing they had done is throw the quilt on the bed without changing any pillow cases or sheets and they left two new towels There were two rubbish baskets I the bathroom and the bedroom that they just left the rubbish there and they had not emptied them. Also they did not put new shampoo or conditioner The sliding doors for the balcony in the room were so dirty and. Had cob web on them, discussing hotel and not worth the money you pay which was $160.00/night.

Worst Experience EVER! We booked a courtyard room and were told it was enclosed and pet friendly. Upon arrival at 1pm were told it would be an additional $10 if we wanted to book in 1 hour earlier and worst of all, the courtyard room was not enclosed and was more like a tiny patio. We had driven all the way up and were given no apology from the manager. We were very disappointed at the un-professionalism and arrogance.

VERY disappointed to find, on arrival that the ground floor room we requested and booked (I have limited mobility following a stroke) wasn't available. The only room available downstairs was missing the A/C remote. As it was very warm we took an upstairs room. "Buffet" breakfast turned out to be bacon and scrambled eggs cooked in the kitchen. Agree with below, RESORT name is a stretch, but OK for overnight stay.

Now I'd start by saying that it is a stretch to call this place a Resort, but as a motel for an overnight stop, it's okay. Bit pricey, but comfortable enough. Friendly Reception staff. Room was clean. Only thing missing from the room was a Clock-Radio, but I did notice in their information booklet, that you could purchase anything from the room that you wanted, so maybe the last person to use this room took a fancy to the Clock-Radio. Worth an overnight stay.

"Resort" is a pretty strong word to describe the Apollo; Apollo Motor-Inn would be more fitting. It is understaffed and not well maintained. Only 2/5 of the cleaning staff showed up our first night and that portion didn't have enough time to clean our rooms. The place was, on the whole, clean, however. The rooms are awkward; there were two queen beds, each on the opposite wall. One had no bedside table or lamp and was right next to the television. One must hire pool towels for $1. These towels cannot be taken to the beach. Each room has a balcony, but the balcony has no outdoor furniture. The door to the balcony advises you to keep it deadbolted at all times for your safety. The grounds are overgrown and need caring for badly. They're hesitant to give you two keys to a room. Nothing was just nice and easy at the Apollo. If you're looking for a not-terribly-expensive place in the Terrigal area, the Apollo will do. However, if you're looking for a "resort", the Apollo isn't it.
