Really nice heritage house with big ceilings and lovely decor. Packed with history that the owner enjoys telling. Overall very nice bed and breakfast. Couldn't really expect anything more out of it.

Somewhat Fawlty towers_esque in terms of how the owner addresses you. Too many rules and instructions. Not welcoming. Place could do with a refresh inside even though it's historic, that is no excuse for shabby furniture.

Absolutely the worst experience we've had in the Blue Mountains staying in this place. The floors were dirty and the place was run down. My debit card was debited without my permission before we arrived — which was extremely bad form. We left after one night even though we paid for two nights as the room was dirty. We didn't bother asking for our money back.

We loved our 3 nights at Leura House. Beautiful quiet place to relax and enjoy. Beautiful gardens, close to Leura Mall and Alexandra Hotel for dinner. Garry (host) was friendly and informative but not intrusive. His wife Laura cooked very tasty breakfasts. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in this heritage home. Highly recommend.

Owner scared the living daylight out of my wife. A little like the soup Nazi. Room was colder than usual. Afraid to ásk for anything. Just had our meager breakfast and left before 10:05.

The owners are very friendly and informative about the house, rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable and water is hot — lovely place.

Beautiful historic guest house, highest house in Leura, oldest house in Leura. Was a convent for a while, now an excellent B&B with charming rooms, views, nice breakfast, nice common lounge area, on site parking, and congenial owners.

It was such a gorgeous place near to station and leura mall with an amazing antique stores. A friendly owner. Clean and quiet house with beautiful rooms.

A bit too Fawlty Towers for me. It seemed like there was one guy running around catering for everyone who stays there. This was most obvious at breakfast when he could not keep up with the flow of people coming in even though the restaurant was only half full. We also think we lost a scarf in the hotel and called to check. There was no answer so we left a message but he never returned our call or tried to get in touch via email. It's a lovely old building but that does mean it's a bit rough around the edges in places. It's quite an expensive place to stay so I'd spend my money elsewhere if I went to the area again.

Most uncomfortable night — poor amenities don't believe anything you read on their website — this place is a rip-off. Was probably great once upon a time — horrible mouldy rooms.

I am in love with this place for its romantic charm, its prayer-like peacefulness, and its imposing grandeur as the mansion stands exalted — built on Leura's highest point. This was the first house built in Leura — so it is very significant and the history wonderful as a grand residence, a convent, and a school. The rooms are the largest rooms you'll find in Leura. All with en-suites. Cottages also. My favourite part is the hedged garden and gazebo, very private for romantic trysts, confidential meetings, or just escaping the world. The house is 3 stories high. Wrapped in wide old fashion verandas. There are Juliet balconies from some of the rooms. There is a great entrance lobby and wooden staircase and chandelier, a big cozy guest lounge and bar, a big restaurant, and the serious looking conference room with its deep coloured walls and tartan curtains. The house is on the northerly aspect. This makes it statistically on average 2-3 degrees higher in temperature than the rest of Leura. Its very comfortable. Stunning on the senses. And great for the soul. Its my perfect getaway from busy professional life in Sydney. I have shared many memorable moments with friends there.
