Just back from spending a week at Scala Bungalows. We have absolutely loved our time there, the bungalows are lovely and a great place to sit and relax. Don’t miss the opportunity to watch the sunset from the top of the terraces, the greatest view of the beach. Tefta and her family gave us a warm welcome and will go the extra mile to ensure you have a comfortable stay. Tefta is passionate about the nature around her and healing properties of the plants. Not only did we have fresh mint for our water, but she quickly put together a sunburn cure! Livhadi is definitely the quieter of the areas beaches. The sea is lovely and clear. Some nice snorkelling out around the peninsulas!

Very, very lovely people. They were booked out when we arrived but tefta the owner still managed to get us a room. Very helpfull and super friendly and warm people. The place is really relaxing and beautiful made with a lot of love and the view is superb. The restaurant down the street serves fresh food… all in all, perfekt place!

We had an amazing 3 nights at Scala Bungalows. Tefta is the nicest woman we've ever met, and we didn't even speak the same language! The bungalows are great. A lovely place to return to at the end of the day. They are extremely clean, well decorated, and very well equipped, each with a private bathroom, air con, and a fridge so you can keep your water cool. Tefta's husband also drove us into Himare and back again one evening to go to the ATM (there isn't one at Livadhi). He then drove us to our bus in Himare on the morning we left — we didn't even have to ask, they just realised we were travelling by public transport and offered us a lift to the bus stop. Great hospitality! As regards the beach, having travelled through Sarande and stayed in Ksamil, we were feeling a bit down hearted about our Albanian beach experience — there has been a LOT of what seems like haphazard development in these places and the amazing sea is quickly met with a concrete jungle of high rise apartments. We didn't enjoy Ksamil, unfortunately, and chose not to stay in Sarande. Livadhi is not (yet) like this. There are the first signs of big concrete apartment blocks and hotels being built but, at the moment, it is mostly little beach bars, restaurants and campsites that fit in with the laid back beach environment. The beach was quite busy during the day (to be expected — we went in August), but not overwhelmingly so, and we enjoyed the atmosphere.

Amazing hotel, and one of the most amazing managemet family team. I would recommend it to everyone who is looking for a western style hotel in the beach of Livadh (Himara, Albania), and to every non albanian nationality tourist who want to mix their summer vacation with a piece of the best local content. Scala Bungalows is an amazing place, which offers a great panorama, tranquillity, great bio foods and very hospitable people. The natural tea made by Mrs. Tefta is the best. I enjoyed very much my staying here and I'd fully recommend it. It's such a little piece of heaven.

Great place just by a beautiful beach. Tafta, Marielena, Stavros and the rest of the crew was really nice and helpful. We would really recommend Scala Bungalows!
