Boston Hotels near Old State House

What a lovely and luxurious gem right in the heart of downtown! Every though has been given to upscale comfort and amenity.

My wife and I stayed here the night before we eloped and we loved it. The staff were super nice and attentive, our room was beautiful with a fireplace, robes, sound system, and jacuzzi tub.

We originally stopped in Boston only as a rest stop in a long trip to Europe. The Whitney turned out to be a highlight itself.

Stayed here for two nights in January while in town to watch a Patriots game. Loved the styling and decor of the hotel, as well as the location on Charles Street.

We visited for my Mom's birthday, and this is our new favorite hotel in Boston. Most importantly, the staff is fantastic. They are kind, aware, and always accommodating.

We had a lovely stay at the Langham Boston. It is very charming, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

My stay at The Dagny Boston was absolutely amazing. From the moment I walked in, the energy felt elevated but still so warm and welcoming. The rooms are beautifully designed.

CAUTION: If you are coming from the airport, the gps will take you under the tunnel where the hotel is above and say you're there.

The purpose of our trip was to attend the Patriots’ Divisional game, and we chose this hotel because it was close to the train station where you catch the Patriot Train.

Clean, efficient and centrally located. Was about a 10-minute walk from Boston Common, Downtown Crossing, China Town, the Theater District and the North End. Similar distance to the TD Garden.

I had a good stay overall. The location is an easy mile walk to the North end.

Stayed here ahead of a large snowstorm in January. Booked deluxe king room with courtyard view. The room was very spacious. Had a very quiet room at the end of the hallway.

Had a nice day at the Hyatt. A good hotel with some attention to detail that I enjoyed. However, compared to the other hotels in the area, I think there are some elements that can improve upon.

Good location. Nice huge tv. Comfortable mattress. Friendly staffs. But sound proof is not as good as expected. There was an instant weird noise in the early morning, sounding like from upstairs.

I travel constantly for work and hold Titanium Elite status with Marriott, so I’ve seen a lot of hotels. Very few truly stand out—but this one didn’t just deliver, it blew my mind.

The hotel was truly impressive, offering spacious rooms and a stunning view.

A short two-night stay. The busy lobby and greeting were a bit impersonal — for a Ritz-Carlton, I felt that a more personal, warm touch could be provided.

Amazing customer service with thoughtful attention to detail.

We had a room with a view so higher marks for that. Most side rooms really don't have one. Clean hotel. Friendly check-in staff. Great bartender. Overall good/great stay.

This hotel is situated right know the bay in the north end. Only about 1/2 a mile from the freedom trail and many sites to see in Boston. Its super walkable and seemed like a safe area.

Great location & nice staff. However, we were not warned that the hotel renovations were ongoing throughout our stay & the drilling was terrible. Spa area was also closed so felt a bit ripped off.

Stay here with kids! They are so friendly to children including a secret surprise at check in and then a hotel-wide scavenger hunt. Pool is beautiful for all ages, as well. Rooms are comfortable.

Clean inside and out, the harbor is right out the back door and the staff are friendly and helpful! The suites are spacious and like a mini apartment with everything you need.

We loved this hotel. The location/convenience to a lot of things to do was perfect (close to the Freedom Trail, TD Garden, North End). The hotel itself was clean and well laid out.

A pod hostel near downtown & public transportation. Interesting experience. I'm tall. I had room to stretch out and sleep in my pod. Clean room, very comfortable.

Wonderful stay and at an amazing location.

Hotel rooms do not have bathrooms, but halls contain section with many individual lockable bathrooms all with toilet, sink, and shower.

This review is for the guy at the concierge that works night shifts on weekends. I am sad I didn’t get your name but you made the stay a lot better.

Arriving at the Omni without a reservation, my stay began before I even left my car. The doorman was very informative, welcoming and was genuinely happy to give me tips and tricks to the city.

Old renovated hotel, expect a smaller room. Food was good but spendy. The staff was great. The location was good as you could walk to several places.

Spent one night at Hilton Boston Park Plaza and it was such a lovely experience. This historic hotel blends classic Boston charm with modern comfort.

Impromptu stay overnight in the city to attend to a late meeting and early morning session.

There are pros and cons to this hotel.
Pros: excellent location in the Seaport, the restaurant and bar downstairs was great and the rooms are minimalist but cool.

I was a photographer for BitSight sales Force event. Great venue. So accommodating! Loved everything about it. I would love to stay here when I need an overnight in the city!
