Cong Hotels near Ashford Castle

My partner and I stayed at the Lodge at Ashford Castle at the start of January and I can honestly say it was the best hotel stay we have had.

We had our wedding at The Lodge at Ashford Castle — it was absolutely amazing! The whole area/grounds were amazing, Out photos look great because of the venue.

I had a wonderful stay at Michaeleen's Manor B&B. Gerry and Margaret were wonderful hosts and made me feel right at home! The breakfasts were delicious and the room was very comfortable.

10 of us returned to Cong for our 1st wedding anniversary. Had fabulous time amazing accommodation and hosts. David Martha and Mrs Ryan are so welcoming… we have booked for next year.

This b&b is everything we were hoping for — cozy, friendly, family-owned in the middle of Cong, which is such a sweet village itself.

Back fishing again after a 4 year break, an excellent pint & supper with my Dad, excellent hospitality, never dissapoints.

Went for evening food with friends on Thursday, couldn't fault it, lovely food and helpful friendly staff.

We had a very nice stay in Ryan's. Great location and the hotel was clean and quiet. Off street parking is a bonus and the staff was great.

Cong is a superb location, Ryans have friendly staff. I had lasagne on this day, and it was ok.

A very good B&B. Warm, comfortable, spacious room, and a great breakfast. Couldn't ask for more. Perfect location as well if attending a wedding in Ashford Castle.

​If you have a picture in your head of a quaint and quiet little place surrounded by green pastures, narrow roads, and sheep, then this is the place for you.
​Our host, Mary, was very friendly.

Love this place, lovely atmosphere, Thomas the Barman is a real gem he will always greet the customers with a big smile or his cheeky wink if his hands are full, he alone makes the place welcoming

The best night we had during our Irish trip! Great staff, great atmosphere, great people, great Guinness! Ça va très bien! :)

Liked: We stayed for 5 nights and it's a great location for exploring galway and mayo. Centrally located and you can walk to the town of cong which is nice.

A very warm greeting and introduction from Margaret at the front desk that made me feel at ease and welcomed.
The site was well maintained and clean, as we're the showers & toilets.

Stayed here on Friday 06 June 2025. From the moment we arrived we were impressed with the place. It's location in Cong only a short walk from the centre of the village which was ideal.

Wow! Just WOW! We simply loved the Salmon Weir Lodge. Beautifully renovated and tastefully decorated in a farmhouse decor. Rachael, our host was simply delightful.

Had an absolutely amazing time in Mayo and couldn't fault the cottage. It had everything you need for a comfortable stay. 10 out of 10 for cleanliness, we will definitely be back!
