This place is a hidden gem! absolutely perfect! small place but biggest rooms I have ever stayed in! Dogs allowed no charge! non smoking rooms actually are! Staff is amazing! ended up stuck overnight in evanston wyoming and … everything about this place is everything that large hotel chains have lost over the years! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
CLEAN! QUIET! ROOM WAS WARM WHEN WE CHECKED IN! I JUST CANT SAY ENOUGH!

A little unsolicited testimonial for the Prairie Inn in Evanston, WY. This motel is family owned by some really great people with 3 (? ) country/cowboy kids. They’re reasonable, clean, pet friendly, have a breakfast that will get you down the road, and a lot big enough to park a horse trailer. It’s also right down the road from the county fairgrounds if you’re hauling horses, as I frequently am. There are fancier places, but dollar for dollar I highly recommend.

Myself and my Husband just stayed there. Great price and a big room. Very nice.

There were 3 ppl at the fuel desk that help us thru two very difficult issues. We will never forget them and plan on stopping in to see them again. They have my love and prayers for what they did for us. And Cassie thank u for calling uhaul. These three deserve a great raise.

5*. A trip back in time! Not what I was expecting from the online pics however it was great! Outdated HUGE room… being outdated works here somehow. Very quiet; comfortable bed; nice, simple breakfast options; friendly staff.

Fabulous motel — friendly staff — large comfortable rooms — older style but super clean with the most incredible laundry facilities — hallways are the width of small motel rooms alone — awesome Jody’s Diner next door.

No air conditioning when we were there. They have fans in the rooms, so this may have been the case for a while. We were not told this when we reserved our room. Nice large rooms, fairly clean, pet friendly, very limited breakfast offering. I would not ever stay here again.

Quite relaxing. Bed — comfortable TV channels — good amount Bathroom — separate sink area and large bath/toilet room with tub and good shower and tile floor. Great friendly staff! Made us welcome immediately. in room 2 doors and large corridor. Mini micro and frig Best Feature? Spotless and good mattress and ceiling! Well, price is darn fair. Very good value Worst Feature? The continental "don't bother " breakfast. Fruit loops or raisin brand.

Nice large rooms! Friendly people. We've been traveling for awhile and this was one of the best so far. Reasonable rates!

Clean big rooms. The beds were very comfortable and it was very quiet. Had a great cable package so the kids watched Disney Jr. Breakfast was just pastires and cereals. There was biscuits and gravy pretty good. The whole place was clean and comfortable would definitely stay again.

I need more stars! This is my diamond in the rough. What a great place. Staff is great rooms are huge and super clean. Absolutely no complaints. No riffraff you see in some other older places.

Most comfortable motel I have ever stayed in. This may be an older motel, but it is extremely well cared for. They go so far as to separate guests by one room when they are not two busy. Again these people made us feel like family. Thanks Evanston…

The staff was very nice. The room was very nice, kind of rustic looking. It was bigger than most rooms I've been in at other hotels. It was quiet and I slept well.

I love this place! It's not a Hilton or a Ritz but the room is huge. Bathroom is also large and accommodating. Staff is always friendly, professional as well as helpful. Good location and a comfortable bed. What more can you ask for? Great stay.

1-80 shut down tonight, decided to call it quits and get a room in town. Got to motel 6 as that's what I'm familiar with. It looked a little sketchy and right across the street is Prairie Inn. It looks older from the outside, but went with it. Extremely glad I did. Opened door to a very large, clean inviting room. Bathroom area also very spacious. Has indoor hallway door and outdoor door to car, pretty handy. Indoor hallway leading to office, nice breakfast room, vending and big, clean self laundry area. Desk clerk friendly, efficient. Great free Wi-Fi. Out of 50 stays in hotel rooms the last year (including very nice casinos), this place, for the money, is in the top 3.

This place is just Awesomeness! I LOVE the feel, energy And staff! It's simple and amazing! Nothing fancy but feels like home!

This was a very clean room, very reasonable and the staff was most accommodating.

This hotel was awesome, HUGE rooms, retro rooms but very nice, quiet, shower was great (no water save feature which I hate) Continental breakfast was more than adequate, we stayed total of 3 nights, forgot our personal pillows from home and the proprietors still had them for us when we were travelling back through. Clean, quiet, great price.

Simple but clean accommodations. The 1960's architecture is gorgeous. Check in was easy, the lady helping us was super nice and helpful. I love the fact that they still use analog keys for the rooms. No check out necessary. They have a nice breakfast bar in the morning. We liked the western touches like the wagon out front.

Absolutely loved this place with it's retro vibe and friendly staff. So glad I chose to stay here. Being able to park outside my door was a huge plus!

Large clean rooms. Impressively clean for the price. Thermstats a little difficult. Has cereal and bagel breakfast. Great price. 65 for 2 queens. Comfy beds. Would definitely stay again.

Do not judge a book bike it's cover… from the outside it looks old and not so appealing. However, atarti g from the politeness of the girl behind the counter, to the pleasant appearance to lobby, I was very happy. When I got to my Room, I was pleasantly surprised with this as well. Although the room is older, it was very nice, clean, and comfortable. I would stay here again.

I want to give a shout out to Carolyn, the night shift person. She was so helpful and went above and beyond her duties to see that we had a room and were well taken care of during our stay! The room was nice and big! This a very clean and comfortable room/beds. If I ever come this way again I would definitely stay here again!

Loved this place! So glad to have found it, and nice to know where to stop next time. Very spacious rooms, and clean. Dated, but with preserved charm. Very cool. Best for us was the ample parking as we transport RVs and the laundry facility! Great price too.

As mentioned by others, this place has HUGE rooms. Older, but well maintained. Clean. Easy access from 80. The staff was very kind and helpful. The bathrooms were equally huge. My rating is based on value. For about $55 this is a very good deal. So why 4 stars? Honestly, I would give it 4 1/2 if possible. I'm taking off a little because the smoke smell in the hallway was a little strong. Would I recommend it to family and friends? Absolutely!

Checked in late on our trip with no reservation. Clerk at the desk was nice and very helpful. Wasn't expecting much by the looks of it. Just a quaint motel near the highway. Room was very spacious with 2 comfy queen beds. The interior was dated but clean, and the bathroom was immaculate, even the tub passed my OCD standards. Room had ample outlets, a small fridge and a fan. (that helped with my hot flashes). Had a small breakfast with coffee. We opted to go next door to Jodis Diner which was a good choice. Now well rested we are off to continue our trip.

Really big rooms, nice simple breakfast. Only problem is that the AC in our room wasn't working, or else I could not figure it out. Was a cool evening so it wasn't such a big deal.

The hotel is dated, but feels retro. The room and hotel in general is super clean, but the thing I appreciate the most is the amazingly fast (60 mbps) Internet… seriously, thank you. (not to mention it's very affordable)

Service was pleasant. We called ahead to report we were running late. Management was easy to work with. Check in was simple and easy. Getting into the room, instructions for wireless, checkout, and door locking was detailed on a sign easy to find. TV remote only worked within a few feet of the monitor (probably low batteries). Beds were fine and warm enough. Plenty of space for a two bed room. Toilet would squeal for a few seconds after a flush. Fridge and microwave were provided. It was a quiet and pleasant stay and expected for the cost.

Excellent service, spacious rooms, dog friendly, next to plenty food places. All and all I have no complaints.

I have never dealt with such a rude man in all my days. I called back at my husbands request and got the sweetest lady to talk to, Dyann, who straightened things out and apologized for the other clerk. If I had the owners name I'd call them and let them know toxic people are ruining their hard earned business. I don't believe anyone can be that impatient and annoyed by someone they don't even know unless they really hate their job, I believe that man hates his job. I did decided not to stay there even after talking to Dyann because I will not be treated like that and then pay his wages. I have read many of the comments about that motel and it doesn't sound like we missed out on much, rude man, terrible breakfast, and nasty beds. I am willing to pay for what decent motels offer and take a chance even if it isn't a 4 or 5 star motel, but to be treated like an ignorant human is uncalled for. I feel bad for the lady making excuses for a man who says he was "embarrassed" by being put in a bad sit- uation due to booking, its a hotel Im sure its not the last time that will happen. There is no excuse. Unfortunate those two ladies don't run the office, professional women would be an improvement.

Really large room that is well maintained in a 60's-70's, style. Original owners have kept in very good shape. Wood plank and beam ceilings give a nice atmosphere. Easy access to Interstate and a budget price. Has interior corridor and exterior access door both. Friendly.

Been here awhile while working in area nice big rooms and great friendly staff. Only complaint is owners shut off heat 1st of April saying not needed with warmer weather was 34 that day. Thanks to manager he got it back on. Barring any further incidences we are enjoying our stay.

My husband and I got caught in a blizzard and found this little gem right off the freeway. We were pleasantly surprised by the rooms for the price. They accept pets and have rooms set aside for people with pets. All rooms have queen size beds ours had two because it was a pet room. The room was very large and very clean. They included fridge, microwave, TV and a second door that goes into a very large central hallway that goes thru the building. Which was nice because we didnt have to walk outside in the cold until we left. They have complimentary continental breakfast, free Wi-Fi and basic toiletries in the bathrooms. I noticed unlike other places thier linens and towels were soft. The building is brick which kept things quiet. A really nice place and would suggest it to anyone in the area.

This place is such a great find. For the very low rate, you get decent quality, a nice mix of western / mid century mod design, and friendly staff. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. No complaints. This obviously isn't the Four Seasons, but it's nice to find a business where you get a good experience at a budget rate. Also, walls are thick — — heard no noise from neighboring rooms.

Was assured on the phone by a guy that I had reserved 2 rooms all while a lady in the background was saying they didn't have 2 rooms only to arrive and be given a BS story about how the rooms were booked online and there was nothing he could do about it so there was no rooms for us. He then said he could send us down the road to a comparable motel and that it would only cost us about $15.00 more a night. It cost us $40.00 more per room.

Huge spotless rooms. Very friendly staff. The 60s decor in excellent shape. On my cross country trip this is the best/fun so far.

Not the Trump Towers, and I'm glad for it. Cozy, clean, retro, quietly out of town on the eastern side of Evanston, easy freeway access, great parking directly in front of your room. This is what I would classify as a Motel. Lodging where the room doors are on the outside of the building and you park in front of your room. Whole place is ground floor. The rooms DO have a second entrance/door that accesses the interior hallway of the building so you're out of the elements to get to the ice machine and to visit the front desk.

Convenient location right off of I-80 with super clean rooms and excellent pricing. The staff was on the ball, providing us all the information we needed for our stay. We were able to park right outside our room's front door and there is also another door on the other side of our room that gives access to an indoor hallway which connects all the rooms to the front desk and lounge, where the continental breakfast was served. If we are driving across the country again. We will be keeping this charming location at the top our our list.
