There was no smoke detector in the room we were assigned. We didn't notice until after unpacking. We asked them to fix it within 2 hours. They didn't, so we had to pack up and move rooms. It's not legal in California to rent a hotel room without a working smoke detector. It seems from reviews, others have had this same problem. If you choose to stay here, look for a smoke detector when you get to your room.

Friendly & efficient staff. Unfortunately the room is in big need of repair & updating. We opted for not changing sheets but they didn't even do the room. Continental breakfast was just OK, nothing special.

I would not wish to stay again. The desk clerk was nice, but could not find my membership number, call wyndham the was asked for credit card info, and told him that I was I a room with a bunch of people and he kept asking so I hung up on him. It was late I asked clerk for a room, I ended up cleaning the light switch, there was like makeup on the walls, I did not wish to know what was on the bathroom door, no bowls at breakfast, told the desk clerk in about all the problems in the morning checkout.

This place was great for the price, rooms are super spacious and there's plenty of free parking space available. The staff are friendly and helpful. The free breakfast has a waffle machine.

None of the light switches worked, the sink was chipped up, the place smelled funky, and the only hot part of breakfast was a waffle bar. Overall it worked and was in a great location for a good price, but doesn't seem to live up to the quality of other day's inns.

Clean room (bath could be renovated, though), good breakfast, nice reception. We had a good stay!

I love this place it was home for a couple month's and the staff was amazing.

Place was clean, but it needs an upgrade in the wash area. Iron worked, but ironing table was very good. Nice clean breakfast area, overall I would say it was good for the price.

If you like a room with a old used up stench stay in room 229. If you like flushing your money down the toilet this place is for you.

Cheap room but place was a bit run down. Not bad for a single night on the cheap.

Bed is comfortable. Sink was all chipped up and the carpet is old. Had to have the hotel personal call the cops for a domestic situation. Morning breakfast was good. Pool is clean. It is a older hotel and could use a little bit of work.

Great for the price. We decided last minute to stay in Gilroy. We chose the Days Inn for the convient location. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The room was not bad. 2 comfy beds, great tv, mini fridge and microwave, and the standard coffee machine and blow dryer. The room was clean and not bad at all for the price.

Good breakfast. I ate waffle and orange. Close to Gilroy outlet. Good for shopping.

Staff is friendly. The a/c unit didn't work properly. The breakfast selections are minimal. The ice machine was broken more often than it was working. The beds are comfortable though.

Rooms were very clean, comfy beds, good climate control. But the safety bar for the door was broken.

Staff extremely helpful, courteous, accommodating and nice. The rooms are surprisingly modern for age of building. Always competitive rates.

Hotel needs better furniture and a good carpet cleaning. Feet was black walking around bareboot. No security lock on door and spiders hanging from the ceiling corners. Guys standing around late night being loud and staff would not go tell them to quiet down. Yes nice direct TV but Wi-Fi was slow and didn't work at all if you ask me. Won't be returning as there are better quality hotels for the same low price as economy lodge next door or gilroy inn.

It was inexpensive, and easy to get to, near the freeway. Air conditioning worked very well. The sink and counter had been updated by painting, which was chipping badly, there was black mold on the roof of the bathroom, and stains on the floor. Biggest warning is that the door doesnt close unless pulled hard. This can be very disconcerting when it closes suddenly in the wind, when you thought it was closed.

It's an OK place. Towels are thin and not plentiful. Pillows = 4 square sofa size throw pillows for a King Size bed. While materials in lobby state pool and hot tub open from sunrise to 10PM, desk will tell you 9 to 9, one of the reasons I checked in down the toilet. Breakfast again, basic, OK. Rooms were clean. Decor dated. No ATM on-site. Bed comfortable. Remote did not work except to change channels. All in all have to give this place 2 stars. Good in a pinch, if you have a choice look elsewhere.

This place has horrible service. I made a reservation yesterday, when my family amd I went to leave my car wouldn't start, then I recieved a phone call that my dad was in the hospital. I called to cancel and get my money back since I already paid for the room they REFUSED because I didnt call in 24 hours ahead of time. I explained that there was no way I could call 24 hours ahead of time since I made the reservation the day. The GM was EXTREMELY room. I will never go to that hotel and I will make sure no one I know goes either. I even called cooperate and they wouldn't do anything either. Do not stay at days inn, HORRIBLE PEOPLE AND SERVICE!

Run down, needs major updates. Is popular with on the road workers. Has fridge and microwave, nice tv.

Not good place to stay. Smells uncomfortable and breakfast was very basic. Coffee was good.

Gilroy isn't anything special. But it was a great trip… hollister is great… room was clean rates are ok… I would do it again for sure.

Located in Gilroy, near the main highway. The rooms were decent and well taken care of. There was free Wi-Fi and cable so we were pretty well entertained. When breakfast time comes around we were guaranteed a free breakfast. All in all, great place to go to! Would recommend to all my friends and family!

We stayed in room 230 for a week and had a good time. Everything was fine with the room and everyone was very friendly, we felt comfortable. Will be booking reservations for the next month. Thanks so much Mike and Anna!

Clean enough for an overnight stay. Location near highway is nice. Staff was all very friendly.

Its quite nice, good quality. Free breakfast. "Home-y" feel.

I got here late, but it was not an issue. I booked my room on Expedia about 20 minutes before arriving. My room was very spacious and clean. I have paid a lot more for a lot less at other hotels. I am very pleased.

Very friendly! We had a very nice greeting and check in experience. Kind to give us a bottom floor room. The room was welcoming. Nice decor and love the fridge/microwave.

I arrived late after trying 12 — 15 hotels over 4 hours between San Francisco and here. All were booked up and I got too sleepy to drive safely. Anna gave me the last room and calmed my worry. She prayed with me when I asked and gave me joy. Please commend this angel!

Hotel is old and but fairly clean. The staff is friendly and check in painless. Breakfast is disappointing, cereal, yogurt, and an assortment of breads. Some frozen waffles would be nice as there is a toaster that would work well. It appears from reviews that this place was a prostitute and drug infested dump in years past but has been cleared of those elements and is in the process of being cleaned up. There are at least 3 other hotels within 3 blocks that look like they would be worth the few extra dollars. This hotel has potential to be nice but is in serious need of a full renovation.

Mr, Joe kept the breakfast room open later for other travelers and me. He arranged a 1st floor room with a disability shower, which I prefer, and gave us a discount for the senior rate. Helped many other guests at the same time making him a multi tasking master! He answered all of my questions while working with other people as well.

Joel at the front desk has been a superb manager during my unexpected four days here. I came for late night lodging and stayed to complete some writing.

Be sure and book online or the price may be higher if you just show up. The fridge was loud and ran 98% of the night. The room was in serious need of cosmetic repairs but at least the TV had a good picture. We were charged $110 for 1 night, no holidays going on or anything yet I just saw you can book for $67 online not even a week after we were there. I felt really took at 110 after staying at places nicer for less.

We felt very welcomed, and were very comfortable.

20 minutes north on the 101 you will find several better priced options in a much cleaner area. $100 for a room that should have been closer to $60. None of the hotels in the area take cash, or debit, credit card only. Days inn included. Checked in late to find the only thing clean about the room was the sheets, fridge had a bunch of alcohol, tuperware with misc food, misc 7-11 purchases, there was a small deep fryer and half a gallon of oil on the floor covered with a towel, few cokes on top, half a gatoraid, soaps were used, a razor in the shower, phone unplugged in the cabinet, alarm unplugged, carpet a mess. Room was being lived in was my guess. The only positive thing about it was the young lady that checked me in was very gracious and friendly, and effecient at her job for sure.

Days Inn Gilroy, we can see all the 5 star reviews that are not real customers from the posting company you hired to post the fake reviews. Why post fake reviews to customers with false stories, fake customers that don't exist? This business plan is shameful on lying to customers which is just dishonest to post reviews like this as is obvious to notice.

Days Inn Gilroy can you please tell your customers why your positing phony reviews? We can spot everyone of them as almost everyone is a fake, why go through that to pretend customers don't notice whats going on but its very easy to tell what your doing by writing your own reviews. It should not be that posting fake reviews to benefit of doing business, especially when you hire the service to post these reviews as it is obvious.

Booked two rooms ahead of time, but had to get a second set because both of the rooms they gave us at check in hadn't been cleaned yet and were totally trashed. New rooms were passable.

I had a very weird but entertaining stay at Days Inn in Gilroy. I really enjoyed staying at Days Inn until breakfast. I found a hair in the free breakfast and let staff know. Once, I let the Indian manager know he freaked out. Claiming that I put it there. His wife tried to claim him down. This guys needs to take medication.

I had a very bad experience with Days Inn. Although I did not even rent out a room. During check — in the sale associates claimed that they were having computer problems. I felt uneasy, about the transaction and demanded that I get a refund. The rude sale associate claimed that the refund will show up in 3-5 business days and that they have already made the transaction. After, a couple of weeks the transaction went through with other transaction that I did not make on the same day. I am filing a police report against Days Inn. If you have had the same experience. Please, file a police report so that the police can take action.

Horrible place. They need to upgrade the pictures to show the stained linen, peeling wallpaper stained carpet, side table with cuts in it from people cutting up drugs and the smell of rotting carpet and cigarettes. I wish I could give this place no stars.

Beds were more comfortable than expected. The breakfast was better than expected as well, including waffles. The Wi-Fi was horrible in the room but excellent if you were in the breakfast room or lobby. Shower was strong. The male manager was friendly and accommodating. The female manager seemed to resent having to be there. The night staff was very good when we checked in at midnight.

This was a very poor hotel experience. The management was very rude, and called my hotel room at 2:30 in the morning as harassment (I believe) for lodging a complaint about one of their policies. Moreover, receipt of payment was refused and the general behavior of the management was confrontational. We also found 6 inch, black, stilettos under the bed, which was rather creepy. Finally, I have come to Google reviews because after reviewing on Yelp and TripAdvisor, the management posted responses indicating he would have the police escort me from the premises. What kind of service is that to give someone who is giving an honest opinion of your establishment. Better business practice would be to try to fix the issue.
