Be aware their pool and spa hours are little to none during non summer hours. Looked like it was once a beautiful place but is now very run down. Is a bit out of town. Stayed to go to the Renaissance Festival which got us there without waiting in a long line and worked out well. I think next time I will get reservations further in advance and stay somewhere else.

This place is good. Pros good food, nice casino, good golf course. Cons rooms are dark and gloomy and room service doesn't come everyday and they don't tell you. To have your room clean and your trash dumped you have too call and schedule it.

Great place to stay! Hubby and I loved it. Food was great! We want to go back again for fun. We just stayed a nite. Truck driver. They should offer truckers discount for sure. After all they get money in their slots. Awesome getaway.

Standard Arizona casino. I stopped by for a quick minute looking to play blackjack or 3-card poker. There were 3 workers at the table games but they weren’t open. Played slots for a few minutes then went to the tables again at 3pm. Asked if the tables were open, was told no. So I left. I did leave with $20 more than I walked in with, but jeeze, open the tables.

Just outside of Globe az. If for some reason you find yourself here be prepared to smoke weather you want to or not. The casino is rolling in smoke. The Friday night buffet was however better than I expected. The crab legs were well stocked, the prime rib was pretty good. Shrimp was served in several offerings. I was even brave enough to eat the oysters on the half shell! They we're good. Staff was very organized and prompt.

I love this Hotel and Casino. Friendly staff, clean, and beautifully located just outside of Globe Arizona. They offer many packages while you visit and have a nice grill / cafe restaurant. Pool and workout room are impressive. It is well run by their managers.

Great golf course. My favorite design in the state. Conditions are not consistent but the greens roll perfectly on 95 percent of the green surfaces. Just love coming to play this Doak course. Incredible vistas.

Truck parking pretty much anywhere that's away from main lot. Pretty small casino just 4 tables with only 2 open. I estimate about 100 slots. Ordered food from the walk up counter. It wasn't too great. Only one bartender working.

Big rooms, big bathrooms. Big pool, big fitness room. Nice casino, nice gift shop. It has nice everything! And. It's quiet.

Good rooms, polite staff. Just watch out ; while their restaurant advertises 24hr, I have stayed here several times where I have gone in to get food and they were gone. Thankfully they keep their vending machines stocked!

Rooms are nice and clean, staff at resort and casino are very friendly. Saturday Brunch was really good at their buffet, staff was also great, worth $10 all you can eat. The only thing that could be been better is of course if I actually won some $$ haha. That's why it's called gambling.

Good clean hotel rooms. Good pool. Casino right next door with a bar. Gym. Steakhouse and convenient store next door.

Mr. Pennington is wrong! He cannot even spell. Everyone, let me tell you the truth. These are the facts, as I experienced them. The Apache Gold Casino and Resort is a five star, most pleasant, beautiful getaway from the big city. The hotel rooms are quiet, clean and very nice. Staff at the hotel, restaurant and casino are very welcoming, gracious, professional and hospitable. The pool is beautiful, especially under the stars, which shine brighter than in the city. The casino is a fun, sparkling place, and it seems there is always a big time winner. The entertainment is always good — top bands, although the management needs to bring reggae back! The first reggae show in the golf course was the best ever! While I do not golf, I do like walking the course — it is beautiful and situated among rolling hills filled with wild birds, and spectacular vistas. All in all, God bless the San Carlos Apache Tribe for their most excellent get away. I will come back often and I encourage all my friends to do so.

Love the drive up there. Casino is clean, great golf course, rodeo/event arena. Hotel is great and they also have RV parking and full hookups.

Nice facility, several types of machines and gaming tables. It is a casino so I expected the sounds, noise and smoke. However the smoke in the air seemed worse than other casinos I've been in. Maybe the filtering system just wasn't working well that day. So if you have health issues be aware.

The Staff at Apache Gold Hotel have always ensured that we be never had a bad visit! Clean rooms, a great view, and good food keep us coming back… not to mention the casino! We stay here at least twice a year, and have never been let down.

What a shame! Management made a poor decision by opening a new casino in the middle of no where and took all the good machines out of Apache gold there! It would have made more since to cleanup the casino and refurbish the hotel rooms. Long time customer probably won't be back. Tried the new casino several times; machines extremely tight no hardly any sound. We really loved our once or twice a month getaway but no more. Hate it for all the tribal members as well.

Had a fun time here. Had an amazing lunch & played with a couple slots before heading back on the road.

Stopped in for breakfast at the restaurant. Staff was very friendly and assured that our large group had everything we needed. Food was delicious and portions were good. Seating was flexible for adjusting to our large group. Affordable quality and friendly competant staff!

It is not a long drive from Globe. I had fun with playing the slots. Good luck!

The service is great, the staff is kind and present when needed, the rooms are very nice and clean, the location for the casino has very beautiful surroundings of the desert.

Exceptional customer service. Won some play money. Watched Monday night football on a projector screen. RV park was clean and gas station in walking distance, so as the casino. Last day… found the pool. Great trip!

Told us there would be a roll away bed, and when we got there they didn't have one. Also, they wouldn't take my meal voucher over the phone for room service, so I went down there and when I went to the counter to order I told them I had a voucher, and they sent me over to customer service, I didn't have my I'd on me because I was in my pajamas with my son, at 11:45 at night. They would confirm my voucher, and I ended up paying for the whole meal. The lady at the counter lacked intelligence and speed for having to wait on people. Not happy with this place at all. Everytime we have been there, there's always some type of issue.

First time at this location. It is a long drive from Marana but we had a lot of fun playing the slots. Food was only average. If your in the San Carlos area it is worth the time to stop here. Good luck.

I stopped for a meal and fuel. The food was very good and inexpensive. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I did try the casino, a small but very clean place. Very efficient air conditioning, little or no cigarette smoke. I will definitely stop by again.

Cute out of the way place. No service in the building for my tmobile phone, meant it was a great time just penny gambling. They do have a few corner machines that are to close together for two people to use at the same time, and they allow smoking.

The gaming is fun. The hotel has a Jacuzzi in some of the rooms. The steaks at the steak house are excellent. All are free if you join the club and play with a card you can receive points for free gas as well. There is golfing, and rodeos seasonally.

We went there for a few hours just to play the machines. It was quiet and very slow. The machines kept messing up and we had to call for assistance several times. We only go here every once in a while and most of the time it's like that.

Absolutely loved the apache gold! Clean rooms for a good price and amenities I didn't expect! Had the all you can eat crab legs along side their lovely seafood buffet. Desert was adorable! Gambled a bit for my first time. Was a nice environment and had s jolly ol' time listening to the live band in The Point sports bar. The bar tenders were the best, BTW!

Fun, small casino outside of globe. The steakhouse has good happy hour and appetizers (drinks, wings, potato skins). Very friendly staff, great people. There's a rodeo there for events, might be fun to visit. The casino is small with different machines and a retro bar. I didn't stay at the hotel but it's there too.

Sorry, this is the lowest review that I have ever given, a 3 point review. I grew up for many years attending the second casino that opened in Arizona, Cliff Castle Lodge in Camp Verde, and I compare every other Indian casino to it as a base point. The Apache Gold Casino has a nice enough atmosphere, very tasty restaurant, and sad casino. I think you'd have a much better time attending one of the fantastic rodeos that they have just outside of the casino in their huge indoor rodeo building. I have been in this casino approximately 30 times over the past 20 years and have rarely, if ever, heard the bells going off confirming a big winner. This place caters to the "bus-in" geriatric crowd that like to sit and chain smoke while playing penny and nickel slots for 4-8 hours. Gag. I like to spend my hard-earned dough in a casino where I know there have been big winners. I won 5k at Cliff Castle once and I was $290 into a $300 dollar purse when I hit the big one. The guy next to me told me that he had hit the same amount, $5, 000, the night before of the very same machine. I like to play at Indian casinos where these tales float around, true or not. Sadly, Apache Gold has none as far as I can tell.

Stayed overnight first time. First impressions are key. At check in, I was asked which side and view I would like, golf course scenery or parking lot. I replied golf course, but got parking lot. In the grill cafe, the waitress did not greet us or even smile. Not very friendly. Didn't see many winners on the slots. Other than that, the rest of the experience was good. In the morning staff said good morning and were friendly.

Apache gold casino is located about 5 mins from globe az. It's a great place of leisure if one is responsible. The service there is always good.

Its is a very placce to me cause of th he latest acidenit with the customr filing a whole room with blood but it is a good place.

Boyfriend and I stopped by this casino on our way home a few nights ago. We both really enjoyed ourselves. The staff was very friendly and it had cheaper slots that any other casino we have been to in arizona. It was great to not have to spend a dollar per spin, and we won $50 in the hour we were there. If it wasnt so far out in the middle of nowhere we would go there all the time.

Clean, quiet, great casino. Contrary to the previous post saying it is / was the worst. If you don't have the money, don't go. I love the machines and the smiling folks serving free drinks. The food is top-notch!

The Apache Gold Casino is a nice place to relax and they have the newest slots and the atmosphere is low key and layer back.

Apache Gold Casino Resort is awesome, they have amazing beds, great slots, food is great. Staff is always friendly, they have cool events, and their pool, Jacuzzi, work out room are all amazing too.

RUDE! Do yourself a favor and look through the reviews of this "resort" hotel prior to booking a reservation. Sadly, I made the mistake of not doing so. Notice the number of times that the word Rude is used the 40 odd reviews posted? Where other hotels work to create a pleasant customer service experience, I'm convinced this one has management training their desk clerks to be downright nasty to people. I had an absolutely horrid experience at check-in that had the desk clerks lying to me and to their supervisor. After the supervisor made the correct call, he invited us to call him to arrange for dinner on the "resort" (this is Not a "resort" by any stretch of imagination btw). I felt uneasy about taking him up on the offer though and instead went to the internet to see what other travelers had to say about Apache Gold. In the end, neither of us wanted to take the chance that the servers or other staff would put something foreign in our food and we simply watched the TV that got about 5 good channels total and woke up early the next morning to abandon the 2nd night that was paid for. Lesson learned about this place. Never again.

The room was comfortable, the dinner at the steakhouse was exceptional. Throughly enjoyed out stay.

I've been to the casino a few times and enjoyed the time. This time I stayed in the hotel. I can honestly say that this place is more fancy than any other hotel for the price plus the accommodations.

The staff was very rude and unfriendly. My husband and I went into the buffet and the staff was making fun and pointing at us for some reason. We only saw our waitress once when she asked what we wanted to drink. The casino was dirty.

To whom it may concern, my name is b. Langley I am more a golfer than gambler. I have played golf at the apache stronghold for the past five years. Playing on average of 2 to 3 times a week at a minimum 25.00 per round, love what they have done. That said on 8/9/15 had some friends come to globe and decided to go to apache gold casino for the evening. I was lucky enough to hit a1200.00 jackpot. The slot attendant came around told me congratulations asked me for my drivers license and a second form of id which I did not have so I said ok. Went in the next day with my military va card not good enough so I had to go back and grabbed my birth certificate no good. I was born and raised in the USA. Had to go back and get ssn. Finally after four trips I got my lucky 1200.00 jackpot from the. 25 cent slot machine. Worst F — — ing time I have ever had at a casino resort. Needless to say I will NEVER go back to the apache gold casino, and I will never go back to the apache stronghold golf course. All my greenbacks as well as me will be going to CVCC. P. S. By the time I was done I felt as if they were trying to keep the money that I had just won at a slot machine that I was sitting at, my money that I put in, my jackpot that I won. It wasn't 12, 000, 000.00 it was 1200.00. I don't ask to see two forms of ID when I give them 4000.00+ dollars of my money per year, that there not going to get anymore. I will surely miss the GREAT STAFF at the Stronghold.

Has the worst restaurant staff ever, one time me and my family went to eat at the grill for breakfast my wife ordered a omelet spacificlly describing what she wanted in it, when her meal came it had more than what she wanted mind you this is a build your own omelet so they charge you for every extra topping. My wife talked to the waitress to tell her the omelet wasn't made right, the waitress began to argue with my wife she told her that exactly what she ordered, she kept on and on but would not fix the problem, then about 10 minutes later of continuous argument she still would not fix her meal, so my wife ask to speak to a manager, the manager spoke to her server first, then came to the table, she also started to blame my wife, and then told her she would send it back but that the server was not at fault and that we would have to pay full price and she stated again her server was not at fault, my wife finally told the manager that she needed to have better training in management skills, I'm the end my wife had to wait 45mins for her omlete to brought back to her. Now every time we eat there our food is cold and they go out of their way to make our meal uncomfortable, end usually we wait mininmum of about 30mins since there is really no place to eat breakfast in town, we are forced to eat there. Since writing this review management has not attempted a response to my review, totally blown away by the dismissive attitude.

I am a frequent flyer at apache gold… don't always win… but the majority of the time I walk out with money won… apache gold is my home casino. Always be a faa.

We recently stayed at the Apache Gold Casino Resort (Feb. 8/9) I am wondering if only people who are disappointed write reviews, as we had a good experience. The room was clean/we enjoyed the jacuzzi very much. The pool was very pleasant and a good size/not at all small as indicated by another reviewer. The water was pleasantly warm. All the employees were pleasant and asked if we needed anything. We ate at the Steakhouse and had a good steak dinner w/salad and double baked potato. Do not think it was overpriced for what we received. The only thing wrong with the room was that the refrigerator was not cold enough. My husband said it was the quietest motel/hotel we had ever stayed in. The bed was most comfortable. We would go again.

Was torn between "It's okay" or 3 stars and 2 stars. Final thought that brought it down was the dirty restrooms and lousy food. Friendlier folks would nice too; most just were quiet and didn't smile. Nobody actively was disrespectful, though. Also on the plus side — beer was cold and reasonably priced, games made sounds that made it sound like a casino and table games entertained me (though it was a draw). I prefer the other casinos near Phoenix even though they do take more of my money.
