I recently photographed a wedding at Rowton Castle and it was stunning. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the venue was incredible.

We celebrated our vow renewal here on 6th August and the only word to describe the whole experience is WOW! From start to finish everything was outstanding and way above anything we could have dreamed of. Our guests constantly complimented how incredible the staff were, nothing was too much trouble. Huge shout outs to Chloe who let me run free with my ideas of the day, Jo who greeted us in the tower house and Ralph who was there for every aspect on the evening. But a special shout out to Gareth, you are the epitome of professionalism, you made me feel so relaxed and that nothing was too much. So many people said it was the best wedding they had ever been to and that is all down to the venue and staff as a whole. My heart is just so happy as I could have only dreamed of a day as good as it was. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

This place is so beautiful for weddings, Birthdays, or just if you fancy sleeping in a four poster bed in a castle. It is on the Border to Wales and has many themes of History. They serve food and the staff are incredibly helpful.

We cant begin to put into words of how delighted we both were with our wonderful wedding at Rowton castle on Sunday 15th May 2022. From the moment we arrived until our departure everything was perfect from beginning to end. The staff are exceptional, kind, friendly, polite and work extremely hard. The castle lounges and bedrooms were beautifully decorated, welcoming and comfortable. The food was delicious, nicely presented, and all dietary requirements were met. Abbi was amazing, very professional and organised, she kept us informed of the day’s proceedings, nothing was too much trouble, and we felt she took care of our needs. The whole day went without a hitch but was all over too soon. Thank you is not enough for how hard the team at Rowton castle work. Sincerely, from the bottom of our hearts you were all amazing. I don’t care how lovely a venue is, if the staff aren’t lovely it’s ugly. I sang at this place is March 2022 and can confirm that it is both aesthetically beautiful and the staff are soooo courteous. I want to go back here for sure. 👍🏻

Attended the wedding of Lee and Holly Summerscales. Absolutely stunning venue, fantastic staff, beautiful grounds and immaculate accommodation. The food was exquisite, from the canapés, to the magnificent locally reared beef, yummy deserts, and beautiful wines. Staff unbelievably helpful, and they really do go above and beyond for their guests! Truly magnificent couple of days! ❤️

Rowton Castle is a truly amazingly magical place. The castle looks like it has been taken from the pages of a fairytale; simply stunning! The are fabulous view across the beautiful Shropshire countryside and beyond. Food is faultlessly delicious. We have memories from our beautiful wedding day which will never fade. The team are specialists at what they do, and they do it with outstanding excellence. I really can’t recommend Rowton Castle highly enough. I love it! ❤️

Thank you for hosting the best day of our lives! We really can't believe how wonderful it was. The venue was stunning inside and out. The staff were amazing and looked after us so well throughout the whole process. Due to covid — it had potential to be very stressful but the staff made it so easy for us and were so accommodating. Thank you to Gemma who was on hand to answer my 100 questions and to Gareth and the staff who were on hand to make our day run smoothly. When is it too soon to come and renew our vows?! Thank you for everything! We really appreciate it.

If we could give this stunningly beautiful venue and wonderful staff 10🌟 then we would. From day one, which was few years ago now, myself and now husband have got to say how fantastic we have been treated, all the way through covid 19 ect Rowton and their staff have been absolutely brilliant!
We've got to say Brian and also Gemma really are such very professional, kind wonderful people who has been absolutely Amazing. We would like to personally say thank you so much for always being there if we ever wanted to come to talk about things or even over the phone, anything we ever needed was never to much trouble and that really did make our experience even more spectacular! We finally got our magical day 29/6/21 😍😍

From staying in the absolutely stunning Tower House the night before, until the day after our wedding we was treated so fantastic!
Our wedding day really was out of this world.
Even though we still had restrictions it didn't feel like covid was around at all, because with this stunning place we was able to get married outside.
We had Abbie look after us and our guests and would like to say how bloody fantastic she was, thank you Abbie for everything you really was wonderful!

Everyone at Rowton have been extremely accommodating during covid and pre covid.
We’ve had to change our date 5 times so far and every time the wedding team or the owners have been so kind and helpful. It’s not been easy for anyone but I can not thank the team enough for helping. The same goes for the suppliers that were suggested to us by yourselves

2 years ago we made the fantastic decision to have Rowton as our wedding venue and 10 months later we had our perfect day. From the moment We arrived we were looked after so well both the night before and the morning of the wedding. I felt so relaxed knowing that Abby was organising everything exactly how we wanted it. We will never forget our special day and can’t thank the team at Rowton for making it exactly what we wanted. Can’t wait to come back and stay again!

My husband and I got married here on 13th March. It was truly the most perfect day ever. The staff were fantastic throughout the day — a special thank you to Ryan and Gareth who looked after us in the day and evening. Cannot thank you enough for everything. Everyone who attended had a fantastic time and of course everyone loved the venue. Would definitely recommend to other couples for their big day! X.

We have just had our Wedding at the Castle and all I can say is Fantastic. From the first phone call a year ago to book an appointment to the morning we left after the wedding was faultless. A huge thank you to all the staff who just wanted to help and look after us throughout our stay, they go above and beyond without question and with a disabled 9 year old in a wheel chair they were more than happy and willing to help with ramps and access around the castle and rooms. Our photographer let us down last minute and thanks to the staff on the morning of the wedding they even sorted one for us. The wedding breakfast and main meal was excellent and so was the service. From the cleaners to the chefs and all staff a massive thank you for making our stay and day a memorable one Stephen & Bethan.

We had dinner at the Cedar Restaurant. Excellent fine dining at the expected price. Service was particularly good from young waiter and waitress. Lovely large courtyard at the back where weddings are held. The castle buildings are 17th century and beautifully stone built. What makes no sense is the rather flimsy looking and out of place mock Roman columned outbuilding with bizarre paintings of animals. All on all, a great place to visit.

Myself and Jamie got married here on Saturday 7th July 2018. Wow… what can I say to justify just how magical our whole experience has been. Right from our first drive upto the castle and mouth open wow moment at the castle in all it’s beautiful glory, our first meeting with Jacques when we set a date and the seamless planning throughout when liasing with Rachel and Gemma, Rowton ensured all our dreams came true. Myself and my bridal party stayed in the Tower House the night …before the wedding. For any bride to be, this is s beautiful and relaxing place to spend your last evening as a Miss and perfect for getting ready. Keith met us outside to offload all of our stuff and was on hand throughout to help. The wedding day itself was truly the best day of our lives spent in beautiful surroundings. Our day wasn’t even interrupted when Keith had an unfortunate accident and Polly took over to ensure everybody was tendered to. The whole experience was made about me and Jamie and all our guests have commented on how beautiful the day was. A massive thank you to all the team at Rowton, especially Keith, Polly, Angel, Rianne, Gemma, Rachel and Jacques. We will make sure we come back to visit and wish we could do it all over again!

A truly beautiful place. Staff friendly and very professional. I had room 4 with the jacuzzi and four poster bed well worth the money and breakfast was lovely.

We just popped in for a coffee, and as there was no wedding happening, we were greeted most welcomingly. A very beautiful and sumptious place.

Absolutely stunning setting. Easy location in regards to driving aswell as located only 15mins from the M54. Very happy and helpful staff. Service was excellent. Rooms are very nice, full of period fearures and decor. You will not be disappointed.

Attended the most beautiful wedding reception at Rowton Castle. The service and food was delicious. The cleaning staff were so friendly and kind. The rooms were just perfect. We had the most wonderful weekend. The gardens are absolutely beautiful. Would highly recommend.

We had our wedding here on 10th March and I can't rate Rowton enough. Every detail was perfect and the day was so stress free. It really did feel like a fairy tale day. The day was 100% about us as it should be and we felt on top of the world. From the staff to the food, the rooms and general atmosphere it was fantastic. The only down side was that the day had to come to an end! Would 110% recommend Rowton and the team for a wedding day that is truly special and all about you.

Stayed at castle for a wedding Sunday room lovely service good only thing wrong is my boot's and my wife's earrings left in room when we left on Monday phoned up that night left phone number no call back phoned up again Tuesday items not handed in to lost property left my number again still no phone back they are not very good trying to find them so if you leave items behind you will not get them back very disappointed in the service.

I highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are amazing as is the castle setting. The staff are very attentive and cannot do enough for you. The food again was fantastic.

Got to say whilst the location is beautiful, the staff were quite unhelpful when requesting a quiet place to attempt to put a 15 month old child to sleep, was told that we couldn't do it in the closed small bar "because it had to be locked" like a nursing mother breastfeeding a small child would be able to do anything. Needless to say we had to leave to drive the child round to get them to sleep thus cutting the evening short. Will certainly think hard about returning to them.

A Must For Your Wedding! Rowton Castle is an absolute perfect venue for a wedding, my daughter has just had her special day and it seems as if it was just a dream now! The staff at the Castle are second to none! Keith the Master of Ceremonies was absolutely brilliant! He put everyone at ease, even myself as I was struggling with my emotions before my speech! The food was absolutely awesome, all the guests commented how perfect the 3 courses were. Everything just couldn't be faulted, the reception staff were so helpful during the day and even in the early hours of New Years Day trying to book taxis! This venue is so magical, I could go on enthusing, but people reading this will think that I am getting paid by the Castle for writing this review! Thank you Rowton Castle for so many fantastic memories.

Went for a wedding. Food was excellent especially the hog roast in the evening. DO was poor and it was frustrating keep in and outting the function room. However, great setting. Great staff and service, lovely ceremony.

Out of this world! Is the only way I can think to describe our wedding here. From the moment we booked, to the moment we arrived and right up to our departure they could not do enough for us. The same courtesy was extended to every one of our guests. Polly was just amazing and the day was managed effortlessly by her and the same quality standard was provided by Gareth when he took over for the evening. Thanks to them I never felt stressed or rushed the entire day. The food is outstanding! Meals were all served piping hot and all of our 93 guests have commented on how delicious their meals were and how full they felt. Although we asked for the kitchen staff to come out after finishing our meal, so we could thank them personally, I really would like you to pass our thanks on again. They provided food that I think even Gordon Ramsay would have a hard time criticising. The hog roast for the evening meal was served to the same standards. They made our day simply magical and this is down to the hard work and commitment from all of the staff. Every single one of them had a ready smile and were more than happy to help with any request made. Ralph behind the cocktail bar I am also told was brilliant. I never got to see him as I was busy dancing but I did sample a few of his cocktails and have heard from my guests how lovely he was.

We attended an event to discuss Rowton castle as a possible wedding venue. The staff were lovely and took their time to explain everything to us, the building and the grounds are all beautiful, all of the rooms are unique and have a personality of their own. We will be back to book Rowton as our wedding venue in the very near future, me and my partner cannot wait!

Fantastic wedding venue. We were delivering wedding flowers. Disappointed that the tables for the wedding breakfast were not out for us to set up. The table pieces had to be set up on the floor instead and leave for the venue organiser. Overall though a lovely venue.

I attended a wedding and it was great. My grandson was unwell during the wedding breakfast but the staff made him a lovely ham sandwich once he was feeling brighter.

It's been just over a year since the best day of our lives when we got married at Rowton Castle. We returned to celebrate our one year anniversary. Walking up the drive the memories came flooding back and walking through the entrance we were welcomed by a familiar face, Keith who was our master of ceremonies on our big day. He remembered our names and welcomed us back with open arms. We dropped our luggage off in the bridal suite and then made our way to the lounge area where we had a glass of bubbly and canapés before sitting down to a fabulous 3 course meal. Complements to the chef who has succeeded with the new menu choices and the service from Keith was excellent. We managed to stay in the bridal suite, the room and view of the front of garden is worth it alone. We may sound slightly bias but Rowton Castle and the Staff are the best we've ever experienced, you don't feel like a customer you are made to feel at home. They really have got hospitality down to a tee. Anyone thinking of a place to get married or looking for a break we would definitely recommend it.

Nice place for weddings. The interior is a bit like a stately home rather than what I was expecting for a castle. The staff were very professional. The only problem was that the rooms were very hot and there's no air con.
