Location good for public transport, however no parking available nearby on weekdays. Easy to get into London. The rooms and hotel could be cleaner. I saw cockroaches in the corridors. Hygiene needs to be improved. Water stopped working for couple of hours.

They were super accommodating. We decided halfway through our stay that we would be more comfortable in a studio and they were able to change our room. We also wanted late check-out and they granted that for a small fee. They even allowed us to keep our luggage in the front desk until we were ready to pick them up. I would highly recommend the studio. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need—utensils, plates, pans, oven, etc. Huge room for a great price. There were two restrooms, one on the bottom floor, one on the top floor. Canning town is not the cleanest place but it was still safe. Even around midnight, there were people and cars driving around. The McDonald’s and market nearby are opened 24 hours (great for travelers who’s stomach has not adjusted to the time change yet). Train station is about a ten minute walk away and can get you to London city center in about 40 min. Overall, this place is amazing and I would definitely book it again next time I travel to London.

Cosy but nice. Although there is a shared bathroom it is near by and only shared by a couple of other rooms. Premises is secure and very convenient for shops or public transportation.

The location is perfect, the walls in the room are dirty and the elevator almost never works, horrible when you have a room on the 4th floor. Wouldn't recommend.

Fine, nowhere near as bad as people are saying. I was there for 9 nights and had no troubles at all.

It is the perfect place if you are looking for a cheap accommodation option for short stays.
PROS: It is 8 minutes from Canning Town Station where you take the Jubilee Grey metro line and the DLR (an outside train) leading to the interior area of London; There are many places to eat nearby, as well as supermarkets and grocery stores; The place has options from room with shared bathroom to flats with kitchen, so the price range is quite spacious; The cleaning service is very decent, always keeping the common areas and the clean rooms and the carpet aspirated; There was a teapot in the room with tea and coffee that was topped daily.
Cons: On arrival there was no sign in sight to indicate that you were in Canary Heights, only a folio stuck to the glass of the door; We asked for a room with double bed for two people and, of furniture for our things, there was only one bedside table, an insufficient wall coat rack and the typical Lack table; The rooms are grouped by modules that share the bathroom and were only identified by the outside door, ie there was no sign of the letter and some clueless (or I want to think) tried to enter our room; The walls are plasterboard, nothing soundproof, so if you touch noisy neighbors… bad night waiting for you.

Terrible service, they stopped people who booked an apartment from entering because their guests, who weren't staying the night, signed in first. The staff were deliberately unhelpful and lazily blamed a manager who wasn't there rather than taking responsibility for the situation. The guests explained many times when entering that they weren't staying the night but were still forced to write their names down to later "prove" they were staying. Had to find a hotel last minute…

The most silly and ridiculous ‘hotel’ ever. It is just a block of flats. And you are paying for a room inside a flat. And this flat has other people in the SAME flat as you but IN a different room. So let me put it simpler. You are staying in the same flat as strangers (just like at home with your brothers/sisters in the next room). You are also sharing a toilet/bathroom with them. The service, apart from one female who spoke fluent english with us, was appalling. They speak their own language in front of you and stare and point at you so it is obvious they are talking about you. So that was rude. The double rooms are just box rooms, so a bed and TV being hung from the wall which fell on top of our £5 Ikea table provided. Pretty sure you all know which table from Ikea I am talking about. The plastic square one with four legs. No cutlery or plates provided, and no room to walk. My partner had to jump onto the bed while I walked to go to the loo. Vice versa, me on the bed when he wanted to leave the room. The doors / security is unsafe. Anybody and I mean ANYBODY can walk through the balcony door as it remains unlocked even during the night and you are not even given a key to lock it. Also, lol your ‘room key’ is basically a locker key from school lool. No heating. And iron kept in the passage of your ‘hotel’ (outside your room) so there were a lot of iron stains on the carpet. Toilets were relatively clean.

Price is good and is a decent place apart from The fact that you cannot bring a single extra guest to stay for even a minute.

I have booked a room for me and my boyfriend this February. I already am completely dissatisfied with the service. I had some doubts concerning the payment, I sent 4 EMAILS and NO ANSWER ever! I called as well, a man pick up, gave me a short useless reply and turned it off. After reading so many reviews I really do not know what to expect but I am already expecting the worst… Will say more after my stay.

Awful customer service skills every time we came back to the apartment there was no hello it was where’s your key, what’s your room number, they then they pull out the paper work and check your name is on there. If you have any friends that come and see you they will have to wait down stairs even if it’s in the morning it doesn’t matter if it’s apartment booked. They even go as far as to wait outside your room just so they can see who is coming and going. Awful management as they like to point and shout avoid if possible. When asked why the Wi-Fi which they said was free was not working they just shrug their shoulders and carried on talking.

Canary Heights was a surprisingly well arranged accommodation. We thought we may have to compromise on some details for the price we paid and yet to our astonishment the room was very pleasant. It's quiet, with friendly staff and a nice balcony for a spot of socialising.

Clean rooms, fair prices — "bathroom" is more or less just a built-in shower cabin/toilet.

As usual, you get what you pay for. Budget hotel — room is comfortable. Bed always gives a good night's sleep. Bathroom always smells a bit odd with the standard gurgling sink/ toilet, but with good shower. Service on front desk is attentive but not complete (for example you can't get a sowing kit if you need one) but there is someone available eventually to speak to.

Hotel clean and staff friendly although my room smelled really badly of blocked drains. Didn't complain as only there for an event at the O2 so just a few hours sleep. What was not good is I paid for parking on arrival (£12) a few days later I was sent a parking fine for £100 (which I won't be paying! ). Now got all the hassle of appealing by mail as you cannot speak to anyone (Web site number says to leave your details and they will call you back — they dont). Easier for me to stay elsewhere next time so will not be returning.

Location not amazing. A 15 minute walk from Canary Wharf. Room really nice. Well decorated. Service very good and friendly.

The customer service is really bad everything else is good but the staff members are rude which makes you question exactly what kind of establishment is being run.

You get what you pay for: a bedroom with a small TV and a kettle, a shared bathroom, just the essential. Walls are thin, it could be a bit cleaner and I would have appreciated a wardrobe… but at the price of a hostel, you get a single room! So if you're on a small budget, go for it!

Rooms are very spacious as they are apartments with kitchen area for cooking with all utensils which is a bonus if you wish to prepare your own food which we did as we were only stopping over for a concert at the O2 arena. The apartments could benefit from a sofa or a couple of arm chairs but the living room space is taken up with a table and chairs and a bed, still room for a sofa though. Helpful staff, they were quick to resolve an electrical issue when the iron tripped the electrics (three times lol) Free on street parking behind building which I guess could be problematic when busy, we were lucky I think found a space straight away.

We use Canary Heights for multiple company bookings every week. The rooms are very spacious and clean. They also have apartment facilities which are excellent! The staff are excellent at their jobs and always very helpful. The hotel is perfectly located, and very reasonable with its costs. I would recommend this hotel to anyone reading this review.

For the price you & what you get, very good. There are not many, if any, places that offer the same value for your money. The staff are friendly. The rooms are clean & modern & its central.

Wonderful room, very clean and cosy.

Decent accommodation but definitely not a hotel. More like someone renting out some rooms in a flat. Not conventional but it was a bed and a room, and it was clean.

The studio apartment is very nice and spacious, the decoration is very modern and the whole apartment is clean. The only downfall is that it is not clear how to access the reception even with that one problem I would defiantly stay here again and recommend it. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Definitely would not recommend staying here, aesthetically inside it looks lovely but that is the only upside! The balcony door could be opened from outside which wouldn't normally be an issue if it wasn't a balcony shared with the whole floor. No key was given to lock the balcony door either. Front door wouldn't lock either so anyone could walk in at any time. The main entrance to the building had no indication it was canary heights except for a piece of paper with the address printed on it blu-tacked to the door. The entrance also could only be opened from the inside. The lobby was a table with a stack of paperwork and a set of keys and seemed very unprofessional. My friend and I walked out within an hour of checking in after our refund was denied and didn't stay the night. An incredibly dissapointing experience to what was supposed to be a fun and much needed weekend away…

Clean and tidy rooms. Very central location to shops and major station (canning town station). Room clean up can do a better job though. Would personally stay here again. 3/5

The hotel room very clean and stylish. Lovely receptionist (Khizir) was very helpful.
