We've just arrived here and I'm wrapped. It's lovely and clean and the owner is lovely. Room service available so we're spoiling ourselves with dinner and brekkie. Planning on coming back on our return trip.

Great! We stayed here on our way back down the coast visiting a friend in Carmila. Rooms are modern and very clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Parking right outside room made things easy.
Short walk to local pub and the pool was great for a cool down dip after my morning run to the beach and back.

Very clean motel. Really quiet.

Quiet motel off the highway, with off street parking. The rooms are spacious, with the beds being comfortable. A bonus for travellers is that the rooms have a full size fridge freezer. The home cooked meals, dinner and breakfast are very hearty!

Very friendly service, very clean, modern room, late check in was extremely convenient when you have been travelling all day. Super comfy beds.

Rooms are big and lovely and clean, Guy in office is so friendly. Room service meals are delicious and plenty of it, plates overflowing.
Plenty of room for parking. A great place to take a break in your trip.

My trucky hubby had an overnight stay here recently and says its a great place to break up your trip, great service, meals were fantastic and off the highway. Neat & tidy. Close to pub! Totally recommend.

A secret hideaway off the Bruce HWY past Marlborough is this lovely motel. The friendly staff, the fresh free range eggs from their chickens, their yummy homemade rissoles, to their comfortable beds made for a very relaxing stay. Will be back guys.

Great stay. Friendly staff and comfotable bed. Fridge a bit noisy, but the fact that we were off the highway made up for that.

We were travelling between Townsville and Gladstone and this was a great halfway stop. Not only was it clean comfortable and quiet (just off the hwy) but it had the added bonus of a really tasty homecooked meal. Would recommend this place.

Great little stopover that feels friendly, safe, and secure. Close to the Bruce highway so is a perfect night stop, probably not much to do around the area though.

This new motel just a few hundred meters off the A1 Highway was clean and comfortable. The pool was open and clean. Bed was clean and comfy enough. There was plenty of hot water and the air conditioner worked well. This motel will not age too well as it gets older, but it is fine for now as of this posting. A simple breakfast menu was provided, showing prices ranging from $9 to $15, but we did not order anything so can't comment on that offering.

Nice hotel and staff but the village is empty with little to do.

This is a neat and tidy motel. The rooms are nice. A bit of a surprise to be honest. For $90 I wasn't expecting much. But this is money well spent after a 10 hour drive. 100 kilometres south of Mackay. There is also a 24 hour service station on the corner about 350 metres that does nice Aussie food.

Top notch and highly recommend it the pool is great and the service is excellent larry is a credit to the community.

We stayed here one night on our way from Townsville to Rockhampton. It was a great visit from start to finish, clean modern rooms, lovely dinner in our room and great breakfast the next morning. The owner was very helpful, and there was plenty of room to park our vehicle and camper trailer under cover and outside our room overnight. We would definitely use this business again and recommend it to others. Also a great spot if you are into fishing!

Very clean modern rooms. Walked to the local Hotel to have a drink and decided to ring the Motel and order dinner to have in the room. Management couldn't be more helpful. We had Coral Trout and T-Bone steak with salad. It was the best meal on our whole holiday. Sorry we had to leave early in the morning and couldn't have their breakfast as the chef is excellent! Definitely will be breaking the trip there in the future.

An impeccable motel, upon entry to the sizable and well priced room; a feeling of luxury and comfort is presented. After a long day on the road the Carmilla Sands Motel provides an excellent rest point due to the friendly easy going service welcoming you with a great smile. When on the long Australian roads a nice meal is always appreciated and the Carmilla Sands Motel provides a lovely evening meal to finish the up the day. However I must say an extra 50ml on the shower curtain wouldn't go a stray. To sum up my experience it was flawless and would highly recommend this motel on your travels through the great state of Queensland.

A clean well built motel about 500 meters off the Bruce Highway. Excellent facilities and friendly staff. There is the rail line about 250 meters the other side to the highway but this posed nil noise problems to us. Really good value. There are minimal shopping facilities at Carmila. Primarily a small pub with an attached store besides a 24/7 Service Station at the Highway. Overall a good quiet stopping place.

Clean well appointed rooms, good location between Marlborough and Sarina. Room service food excellent, rate reasonable. Rooms cater to the infirm as well. There was a bit of noise early in night with trains but only affected us as we went to bed early for early start. We will no doubt stop here again in the future. Lovely rural scenery off the highway.

Fantastic place to break the journey, New, Clean, Very Friendly owner. also has huge undercover parking, a nice swimming pool. Highly Recommend staying here This will be our regular stop from now on Oh and dont mistake this little gem for the Hotel \ Pub.

Nearly didn't stay last night due to previous bad reviews, don't know what they are on about, because this place is a little oasis in the middle of nowhere. Brand new, cleanest and most comfortable rooms I've stayed in on my trip from Sydney to cairns. Nice friendly young male at the office and the room service meals were delish.

I recently stayed at this motel it was the only motel I found on the east coast that had a disabled suite.
