Very pleasant and helpful staff amazing decor.

Hotel is near to deribaskaya street (so city centre). You can walk deribaskaya street just about 10 minutes. Rooms are clean and historical but small. Hotel's Personals are helpful and polite and they can speak English. That's are positive aspects. Unfortunately, there are many negative aspects too. I can't understand their price policy. Please don't think I care money. Already grivna currency is the very chip for me and european country's citizen but I feel like deceived myself. I paid and booked to a room 3 month ago and they said 'tax is not included in our prices' (tax is not expensive, just 70 grivnas) when I went hotel. I didn't like the taste of Ukrainian foods. Because of this, I ate European foods in my all holiday. Already there isn't many options expect butter, egg, cheese croissant and coffee. The lunch is weirder. There is a Ukrainian soup and chicken and meal, rice or some like that but almost, the menu is same every day. Wait… it is not finished yet. I asked "how can I use this hotel point. " before 2 days ago leaving the hotel. The personel in the reception said 'you can use for minibar, spa or something like that'. I take two little bottle alcohol but they said 'you cant use point on the minibar' and want money when I am leaving. to make the long story short, I am not satisfied. I think, If you went to any five-star hotel in Turkey and Europe, will be surprised how can take this hotel five stars.

I get surprised I never had noticed this hotel before, because I had visit Odessa a lot's before. I get what I payed for + a little bit more. I enjoy the fancy atmosphere and they even have mirrors in the ceiling and pink champagne, what else at Hotel California. The gallery their I could enjoy my coffee, doing my work and not get disturbed. The art around in the building also boosted my stay. Usually hotel breakfast and lunch use to be a flood of food, but not here and that's good. "California" showing responsibility to provide basic extra for breakfast/lunch, this is what the modern western tourist expect and "California" provide it. One thing I noticed on their website is that they provide "Smorgasbord" for breakfast; — actually the Swedish word "Smörgåsbord" and "Smorgasbord" use to be the English version. Noone eat "Smorgasbord" for breakfast in Sweden, "Smorgasbord" is a dinner bufé with different warm/hot dishes. It can be used in a lighter version for lunch, but more common for dinner in the afternoon and the dishes change during season. "California" is not the first hotel I visit who use the word "Smorgasbord" for breakfastbufé, so they should not get sorry for that — for me it just funny! The only thing as disturbed me was that I couldn't use the sauna and pool after my joggingtrips of some unknown obstacle. Otherwise I liked this hotel, I liked the staff and their attitude.

It's very decent and clean hotel, all required facilities are provided in the room and the restaurant. Staff are professional in each in his/her areas. Thanks for your excellent hospitality.

Small room, but everything was nice and clean. They claim to be five star, and I'm sure they are, but that sets my expectations fairly high and that they did not live up to. Breakfast and lunch was fine, but nothing special. On check-out they tried charge me some items from the minibar and they quoted me 50% more for the tourist tax; when I asked why they apologized and gave me the original quote. An ok stay, but I would take my chances elsewhere next time.

Location + Rooms clean staff helpful. This is an impression that you can't cook here. No choice. Who said this hotel is 4 star. I'm not coming back.

Great hotel in the city center. Clean rooms. The whole hotel fragrant pleasant smells. The rooms are small but cozy. The rooms bring original Italian cosmetics: shampoo, gel, hair conditioner, body lotion, toothbrush and toothpaste, disposable shaving machine. Breakfast buffet, good choice: omelet, meat, oven, fish, salads, vegetables, fruit, muesli, honey and jams, nuts, pastries, biscuits, maca and cakes. The room was very clean. The hotel has a small gym.

I use the services of a beauty salon at the hotel. Also several times rented a conference room for private events. I love the Rooms, but I think there is no reason to be dissatisfied. Guests are an endless stream and more often foreigners. It's about quality says a lot.

This hotel is like home to me. The staff are professional and polite. Anything they can do for you they Will! "You can check in but you can never leave… " famous song lyrics sum up, my heart will always be grateful for them helping me when I needed to check back in at my usual low rate. Just be prepared to make reservations way in advance during summer season… the security guys said fully booked most summer days! Stay here once you will stay here always!

Very Nice hotel, nice staff. The Location is convenient, in the city center. But the street still quiet and at night to sleep pleasantly, do not distract noises from the street. Breakfast was OK, no frills but quite tight. In principle, good.

Cold rooms: Heating not working for two days and window not sealed. Bad breakfast, wrongly charged for mini bar.

Good value, clean, good service, English spoken, helpful staff, near to town for easy exploration, but far enough away for quiet nights. I recommend you book a room with a balcony, small but nice to sit out when you get back from a day being a tourist.

Very friendly and discreet staff, no matter whether at the reception or at the service. Rich breakfast buffet, very clean non-smoking rooms with air conditioning and super wet room. Central location, the old town is within 10 to 15 minutes walking distance, the dolphinarium in about 40 minutes. I am very happy and will be happy to come back again when I am in Odessa!

Very good and comfortable hotel! I liked everything. Staying for a week in a Suite. The room is gorgeous. Everything is clean. Linens like new. A couple of times went to the gym. Few simulators, but guests have enough head. The staff is friendly, the problem was not with them. My wishes were fulfilled quickly. Loved the view from the window. The hotel offers various travel services. From sightseeing and nightlife of Odessa. I have used only nightlife) ) Brought me and drove away, when I wanted. Everything's fine) All advise hotel California for those who want to relax in Odessa.

I loved the deep soaking tub. Good service. Continental breakfast has meats, cheeses, poached eggs, cereal, veggies, potatoes, little omelette roll things.

Just a great hotel! Nice location, friendly English-speaking staff! Rooms are small but very comfy, with brand new furniture and huge bed! Free parking is a plus.
