Stayed there a couple of months ago now and was awesome…

Beautiful place and beautiful people, breakfast is lush and sets you up for the day. If you are looking for some peace, this is the place xx.

Lovely place to stay, Tanya and David very friendly, felt right at home soon as we got there. The room we had was at the top of the house bit of a climb but well worth it for the view right over Whitby to the Abbey. Breakfast was first class anything you wanted we went for the full English as you do!. The room nice clean and tidy. A very pleasant stay, we will be staying there again when we go to Whitby thats for sure.

We love everything about this hotel. Tanya and David are brilliant hosts, great welcome when you arrive. Our room was lovely looking out to the Abbey. Even had firework display on Saturday night. Breakfasts are fabulous with everything and more that you could want. Thank you both and we’ll see you next year.

Fantastic place, superb breakfast, lovely couple. Nothing 2 much trouble for them. Definitely come here again. Lovely bedroom. Spot on.

Ah yes, another five star review. Yes, I do them a lot. The places really are that good though! David and Tanya are lovely and engaging hosts. Upon arriving, Tanya was cheerful and told us about the House, a little of the history and general info (keys, breakfast etc). The room was large and airy (it was a warm weekend), but had a radiator, so I imagine it is cosy in winter. The bed was huge and comfy. Breakfast itself was tasty and freshly prepared — I had a different one each morning, and can state that everything offered is of excellent quality, especially the kippers. When I return to Whitby, I will definitely check to see if there's a room available here, and look forward to seeing Tanya and David again.

Had a lovely time here. The hosts were excellent with great personalities. The room was very clean and the breakfast was superb. The owners have great knowledge of the area which can help when you're not familiar with whitby. Would love to come back here, thank you.

Lovely place to stay friendly owners great service.

Lovely clean and friendly place… not far to walk to main shops and bars and a brilliant view of the abbey from my window… very chilled out place to stop and breakfast had everythjng you need… likewise the room too. Would recommend and stay there again very much so.

Had 4 nights at the waverly B&B the breakfast was wonderful plenty of choice and good quality. We stopped in the small double at the very top of the house which was plenty big enough for two, the little window seat was nice to sit and watch the world go by. The bathroom was very compact but very clean as was the whole room the only niggle was the shower was more like rain water but that could have been the water pressure with being at the top of the house. We would stop again and recommend to family and friends. We really enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic Guest house run by two lovely hosts Tania and David Brown. Spotlessly clean and great home cooked breakfast.

What can I say that everyone else hasn't — easy to find, parking space saved for us, room booked as small/compact double — nothing compact about it! I'd say best room in the house, Room 9 with panoramic views over the bay across to the Church — good pair of binoculars on the window sill for use. Room was lovely, clean and fresh, shower gel, shampoo provided. Hosts were really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast — well I don't think you'll beat it — fresh, hot and locally sourced and with tinned tomatoes, my favourite! Would highly recommend it.

We have stayed at lots of b&b's but the waverley is the best by far. Lots of little touches it was imaculate with a fantastic breakfast and fabulous hosts a must stay for anyone staying in whitby.

We go away a lot throughout the year and stay in bed and breakfast all the time, this is by far the best one we have stayed in over the 5 year period. The people that run this are fantastic they cater for your every need and all you have to do is just ask. Absolutley fantastic.

David & Tania are a lovely couple & they made us feel very welcome, rooms nice, big, clean & had a lot of nice touches, Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, would stay there again & would highly recommend it to anyone, all in all a very pleasant weekend,

Stayed here all week this week. Lovely hosts just not enough toast as kevin said. Wonderful place to stay, neat and tidy. We should have asked kippers to bring with us back but unfortunately we run out of time. We highly recommend this place as we have enjoyed our stay. Thanks to the lovely hosts. We will definitely be coming back again. Xxx.
