The Flask Inn Bed and Breakfast

The room we stayed in was clean, cosy and well looked after. The owners are welcoming, accomadating and exceeded our expectations. The location of b and b isn't far from whitby, robins hood bay and Goathland. We look forward to going again.

Stayed here for a week while working in Whitby, can't recommend this place highly enough. Fabulous room, excellent food and a wonderful relaxed atmosphere, I will certainly be returning for leisure.

Absolutely disgusting treatment here this afternoon, if I could give it 0 stars I would.
They had a private function on so couldn't cook anything dairy free for my anaphylactic 4 year old and point blank refused to heat up some food I had with me in their microwave — they offered me a bowl of boiling water — like that was going to heat up a partly frozen tub of pasta and not put it into the danger area for bacteria growth — also a massive safety issue having a bowl of boiling water on a table in the restaurant with small children around. When I asked if I could use their microwave they said no as it was an industrial one?
Shocking, discriminating behaviour from the man who I was told was in charge.
In 4 years I've never had to walk out of anywhere country wide.
On the plus side The Fisherman's Wife in whitby were more than happy to accommodate us and the food was no doubt better there anyway.
Don't waste your time giving them your cash — keep driving and go to Whitby.

Returned after enjoying it here so much last year when we stayed for the Whitby goth festival nice beer garden to the front with a sea view of robin hoods bay. Friendly welcoming staff. Good sized portion food too! All round lovely place.

Food OK, you cannot open a tab which makes things more awkward when you have a larger group. We did not stay in the rooms but the outdoor seating and play area was nice, apart from the smell of burning plastic.

Lovely staff. Very welcomeing. But don't come if you don't like dogs in while your eating. Got bit a few times with fleas. Rooms very good Food expensive But nice. Don't know if I'd go again. Not use to having dogs in wear food is been served and eaten.

Lovely clean, large sized room with ensuite shower. Excellent service, hosts are perfect and couldnt do enough for you. Excellent food, cooked perfect (huge portions). Definitly be returning xx.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Child friendly and a great location to travel to Scarborough and Whitby. Will be staying again.

A lovely, cosy atmosphere, The food was excellent and more than ample portions. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and the evening pleasantly memorable.

A lovely little pub that serves good beer and nice food.

My wife and celebrated our wedding anniversary there. The accommodation was first class. So was the food in the restaurant. The owners were very friendly and very helpful. We plan to visit again.

Clean and nicely decorated rooms but bed was awful so hard and had bad night's sleep never again.

Fantastic food, in a relaxing place,

Great place with a superb selection of food and drinks! Dog friendly! But most important of all… great owners! A place I highly recommend! Love it!

Always a pleasure to stay here if it is in the lodge or the pub. Staff are super friendly and can't do enough for you. Would recommend if you looking for a quiet place to rest your head but still with the ability to visit nearby towns.

Rooms are lovely, service is great. Showers a bit temperamental. Lovely friendly people behind the bar, you feel very welcome.

Booked this last minute when we found we would be in the area. Our rooms were in the lodge rather the main pub building. Feels more like a motel rather than pub accommodation/B+B. Fairly basic, main building says it's 4 stars but ours weren't. No breakfast if you are in the lodge either, but there is a cafe next due that does nice food. Main problem with our room was that it's very hot so you need to keep your window open. But you're only a few yards from a busy road! Also shower was extremely hot and unpredictable — certainly not safe for younger children. Finally the pub doesn't let under 16s stay in the bar after 9.30 (ours are 12, 14, 16) we had to return to our room on the first night and chose to go to Scarborough on our second night. The pub was dead anyway so I don't think we missed much!
