Typically quaint English B&B run by wonderful Canadians nothing was too much trouble and everything was perfect could not find a fault.

We had a great time here. Not necessarily the cleanest place but the breakfasts are amazing. We loved the hosts! Surrounding area is fabulous.

A really fabulous overnight stay for work. Beautiful room (the Blue Room), lovely sheets and towels, everything British/Welsh made and how lovely to have a mini fridge with fresh milk for tea! Peace and quiet on a work night. Just what was required. Excellent value too.

We were in Merthyr Tydfil to trade at a Chocolate and Chilli Festival and booked in at James' Place — Brynawel. This is a super place to stay. Our room, The Rafters, had fab views of the mountains and was light and airy. Very comfortable, we made ourselves at home very easily. We also had a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom which was great. The only downer was for my husband. As he is quite tall and wide he did not quite fit into the corner shower unit.

Visited the Cawdor for a festive lunch and it didn't disappoint. The staff were friendly, ambiance was lovely, the dinner was very tasty. Haven't had such a nice roast dinner out in a long time. Definitely recommend.

Came last night for a Xmas meal with the girls and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a Festive burger and it was stunning. All of us loved our meals. Thanks again. Would highly recommend x.

Had the most amazing and intimate wedding day on 08.06.23. Carol was very helpful and thorough throughout the whole process and put our minds at ease. Was the only venue my wife and I looked at, we didn't need to look anywhere else. The day went very smoothly and exceeded our expectations, we couldn't have asked for any better and the food was delicious! Thank you to all staff who couldn't do enough for us and our guests. We're so glad that we chose Glen Yr Afon to be our venue.

Lovely place. I meet friends for lunchtime menu usually on a Saturday. Food amazing. Always a very friendly welcome. Great staff.

Stayed at The Priory Yesterday 20th May what a lovely Hotel, breakfast was spot on, Rooms where quality with lovely furnishings, did not have chance to sample the restaurant after all my friends and family recommend it as was only a flying Visit, but will stay again and sample thank you.

Excellent place to stay for the Jubilee long weekend. I stayed in the Loft room which was clean and comfortable with a kitchen area with everything you need, and luxury ensuite with bath & shower.
Tea & coffee provided, & milk in the fridge.
Internet available.
Patio area to sit and relax.
The views are lovely, and it is a great place to stay for nearby walking, cycling or just relaxing. Chepstow is only a 5 minute drive away.
Would love to return.

We’ve booked The loft at Broadrock B&B to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary. We were not disappointed. It was everything we wanted and more. Jacky was most helpful from booking to arranging anniversary banners and Prosecco on ice for our arrival. We had three nights but really wanted longer and will definitely be retuning again one day in the future.

Just came here with my family for Xmas Sunday lunch. Couldn’t fault anything. The food was delicious and more than we all could eat. The service was excellent, none of it rushed, the staff couldn’t do enough. Thank you so much. We have booked again for next year x.

Stopped for a night on our end to end charity motorcycle ride super place great food excellent hospitality lovely rooms highly recommended.

We had our wedding reception here and it was wonderful. Jackie was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. All the staff members were very organised, efficient and friendly. The food was brilliant and the decor was done to match our theme. It looked beautiful and we were thrilled with everything. Highly recommend!

We had our wedding reception at the Old Barn Inn on the 27th May 2023. And it was perfect. Jackie and her team are outstanding. Not once did we feel the strain of organising a wedding, and when the day finally came they just made it their absolute mission to ensure that we didn’t want for anything. The tables were decorated beautifully, Frazer designed our table plan and arranged a welcome sign for us.

Great hotel with bags of character and characters. Great location for stepping further into Wales or just enjoying what Abergavenny has to offer.

Amazing room, we were so happy with it 😊 will definitely stay here again.
