We came 6yrs ago and not much has changed which is a good thing. The cabins are clean and you get toiletries and washing up essentials which is very useful. The pool is lovely and warm and the fact you're supplied with swimming towels is very convenient. There is a downside I'm afraid. The Restaurant. We booked in advance saying we had a Coeliac in the party (my 13yr old daughter) She couldn't have the Sunday Roast (no stuffing, no Yorkshire, no gravy) so opted for the ribeye steak and chips without all the fancy trimmings. Hubby and I had the roast and son had the kiddies hotdog… he was a happy bunny! Our roast was okay but it was basically a chicken breast cut into slices with a chasseur-style gravy added so more of a casserole really and the french beans were old. There was no gluten free alternative for the £11.95 two course Sunday dinner so my daughter had only one choice; mango sorbet. When it came it had a wafer in it so we had to send it back! Both children had milkshakes, son had and Oreo milkshake, daughter had a banana one… the cream split and she ended up with half a glass of yellow banana flavoured and watery solution. The whole meal cost £71! We were charged the whole amount of £24 for my 13yr old daughters dinner despite it being basic steak and chips! Sorry to complain, but this is not something I'll be writing up about on my free from blog that's for sure! It breaks my heart when we think we've made the necessary prior warnings and my daughter is made to feel even more different than she already does bless her. The staff were friendly and kind but didn't appreciate how this whole meal would have upset us and in particular my daughter.
