We stayed 3 nights here in lodge 24 and would definitely come back. The check in time was 5pm which was a bit late but we pretty much had a day out first and by the time we checked in and bought things for dinner it was fine just to settle in and relax. There were three of us and I think that was plenty to stay in the lodge. One room has a small double bed and the other has a single bed and a pull out. There is an option for pull out sofa bed too but I felt it was comfortable for 3. The shower was good and plenty towels provided. We enjoyed the conservatory to watch the wild life. We bought seeds and nuts to fill the feeders and seen lots of wild birds, peahen and ducks and ducklings. A red squirrell also made an appearance. We also saw a woodpecker. It was warm when the radiators were on. We didn't really need them as it was the middle of August. We enjoyed ourselves very much and it was really just a base to come back to as we were exploring the highlands. Nice peaceful place and just what we needed.

We came 6yrs ago and not much has changed which is a good thing. The cabins are clean and you get toiletries and washing up essentials which is very useful. The pool is lovely and warm and the fact you're supplied with swimming towels is very convenient. There is a downside I'm afraid. The Restaurant. We booked in advance saying we had a Coeliac in the party (my 13yr old daughter) She couldn't have the Sunday Roast (no stuffing, no Yorkshire, no gravy) so opted for the ribeye steak and chips without all the fancy trimmings. Hubby and I had the roast and son had the kiddies hotdog… he was a happy bunny! Our roast was okay but it was basically a chicken breast cut into slices with a chasseur-style gravy added so more of a casserole really and the french beans were old. There was no gluten free alternative for the £11. 95 two course Sunday dinner so my daughter had only one choice; mango sorbet. When it came it had a wafer in it so we had to send it back! Both children had milkshakes, son had and Oreo milkshake, daughter had a banana one… the cream split and she ended up with half a glass of yellow banana flavoured and watery solution. The whole meal cost £71! We were charged the whole amount of £24 for my 13yr old daughters dinner despite it being basic steak and chips! Sorry to complain, but this is not something I'll be writing up about on my free from blog that's for sure!

Beautiful surrounds. Chalet nice enough. New style kitvhen and bathroom. Decor aged in livingroom and bwdrooms. Could be done with updated ti keep up with other rooms. Quite small. Outside chalet doors needs to be cleaned of debris and some light paintwork over porch. Would have been nice to have it cleaned for arrival. For £100 per night not too much to ask for I think.

Such an unbelievably beautiful place, and the resort has so many things to do even if you cant get into the center of Aviemore itself.

Nice location and good facilities. Did not like having to pay a metered electricity charge at the end of the stay. It was very cold inside the cabins (with all the radiators on) but it was — 6 outside…

This is a great place for family holidays! We loved our lodge — found it very clean, the living room / kitchen is way more modern than pictures show. Kitchen equipped perfectly with everything one would need. Apart from low water pressure in the shower (which is just a minor glitch) — we're very happy with our winter holidays here. And the place is beautiful all around — we were lucky to have loads of snow — so it's like a winter wonderland outside. Kids loved the sledging slope, playground, ducks and peacocks, and the forest especially.

Love the setting and staff very friendly and helpful. Due to personal circumstances we asked if there was a chance of relocating to Dalfaber resort. Ruth was extremely helpful and arranged this for us. Still love lochanhully and Jake's Bar and resturant is great.

Lovely views and great facilities, especially J. A. K. E. S. The independent on-site restaurant. The chalets were clean and well stocked but basic, don't expect privacy or a decent shower, there's no soundproofing anywhere, the shower is over the bath and is very basic. That said the location means it's a great place for coming back to when you've exhausted yourself climbing, walking, skiing or biking. The beds were comfortable and the heating was more than adequate.

Stayed for one week over the Christmas period in Dec 2015. We loved the dining area which has glass walls on 3 sides looking out to the woods with ducks and occasionally sheep wandering around. The little loch was very picturesque frozen over, with a patch of seemingly water where the ducks hang out. There was free Wi-Fi near the dining area.

Beautiful area and it was nice to have a kitchen and but the rest is just ok. The Wi-Fi was terrible and only available in the lodge, beds were uncomfortable, rooms are small. It would also be nicer if you were just a little closer to Aviemore, but they can't change that.
