Amazing gift from our friends. Overnight Christmas Party was 10 out of 10. Rooms, atmosphere and food, absolutely brilliant night. Affordable and well worth a visit. Friendly staff, spotless rooms. They have got it right at this Hotel.

Between food / drink / and accommodation our choir spent over £10k… guess what they shut the bar at 11pm and refused to serve guests after 1am… shocking hospitality, and Would never go back or recommend this hotel 2/10 rating!

Great 2 night stay here for my husband and i. Good location. Staff were lovely and the breakfast was AMAZING, so much variety, could have swapped the hash brown for a wee tottie scone tho lol.

Great room & friendly staff. Bar was great for drinks! Taxi from the hotel to the hydro was much cheaper than Edinburgh Taxis.

Disabled room excellent. Fabulous staff. Excellent food.

I would stay here again … they served us for dinner there was a good choice… food was excellent… room is very comfortable but there is no fridge.

Lovely atmosphere staff friendly and pleasant, our room was fantastic, spotless and relaxing, just one wee fault was their Wi-Fi was down, apart from that all good, would definitely recommend highly, keep up the good work guys.

Attended the 80’s party night last night with friends. Was excellent value for money. Nice meal, great atmosphere and nice to see that lots of people made the effort to dress up. Great night had by all and will definitely attend future events.

Enjoying my stay at this hotel, staff are very friendly and welcoming, offering help even when not needed. The room is large and spacious with a comfortable bed including a large flat screen television. Would recommend this hotel. Fraser is the best barman!

Great location, left car in their car park and took a train (5 mins walk + 5 mins train) to Hydro for a gig. Hotel clean, warm and quiet. Buffet breakfast with great choice of hot and cold items. Would recommend as better location (quieter) than other city centre hotels, plus it has the car parking.

Ended up here after our flight was cancelled. Despite our late booking, the staff was very accommodating, including our waiter, Marc, at the hotel’s restaurant. They helped us make the best of an inconvenient situation.

Had a lovely overnight stay at this hotel. Very close to the West End with its many bars and restaurants. Rooms were very comfortable and we had a lovely breakfast in the morning. The staff were very pleasant, the young man who works in the bar, Marc poured us a lovely night cap, well maybe it was a few nightcaps, he was very attentive and funny and made our evening very enjoyable.

We had a lovely experience here at the hotel. After a hectic day shopping in Glasgow we popped in for something to eat. The food was lovely and we were especially impressed with bar tender Marc he looked after us and made our day, nothing was to much trouble for him. Would certainly go back.

I had a wonderful stay completed by an excellent service at the bar from Calum. Would definetly recommend this place!

An unexpected stay for 8 nights. The staff were very helpful and nice. Our only issue was that the room was only cleaned fully once in that time. We didn't mention it during our stay as we were there in difficult circumstances. That aside we would recommend the hotel.

My 20 year old grandson and his girlfriend paid for a 1 night stay and decided to have quiet drinks in the room, very bad experience as the people next door kept banging on the doors and walls and reported them for no reason their were people up the hall having a party in their room and nothing said to them. This left my grandson no choice to leave the hotel at 1am and walk home as their night away had been ruined. Wouldn't recommend.

For several years now, I stay at the Pond Hotel several times a year, on my way backwards and forwards on business to England and Wales from the Isle of Skye or from the Isle of Lewis. The hotel is very convenient for me and there is always plenty of parking space. The staff are, by and large, friendly and efficient. The room that I stayed in this last time (220) was the best one that I have stayed in — — — I liked the layout. The public areas of the hotel appear to have been smartened up a bit since my last visit. The bar area, however, could do with complete re-arrangement and more comfortable seating. Forget the TV! No-one looks at it. The present arrangement is uninviting and cramped. I hear that the hotel is to be renamed and is to be known by some long-winded corporate brand name. This is a bad and stupid mistake. The hotel is universally known as "The Pond" and it has a decent reputation. Someone with a bit of imagination should come up with a snappy, shortish name that would retain the word "Pond"; even if it included a reference to the new ownership. How about "The Leonardo Pond Hotel"?! The breakfast plates were stone cold last weekend and the fried eggs were almost inedible on Sunday. Despite all the foregoing, I am on the whole a fan and will DV have no hesitation in re-booking and also recommending the hotel to friends and acquaintances.

A great place to stay if you plan on going out in the west end of Glasgow. Rooms are clear, the beds are comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. A special mention goes to the breakfast, which I loved! A great way to start a day.

Spotlessly clean and comfortable hotel just a short bus ride from city centre. Helpful staff. Public areas cosy and comfortable. Food very good at good prices. Highly recommended.

Had a great stay at this hotel. Good food in the restaurant with fantastic service. I particularly enjoyed the proper Scottish breakfast.

Location for my meeting at the nearby hospital was perfect. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Asked for an iron and ironing board which was delivered promptly.

Hotel is inexpensive, clean and staff very good. Would highly recommend for visits to Glasgow for business or pleasure. I would not however recommend the restaurant! Poor quality food for the price. Room for improvement here, if you forgive the pun. Free parking is also a bonus. I would always stay here if going to Glasgow.

The Pond Hotel is the closest place to stay to my elderly parents' house, so is a natural choice when visiting at Christmas and New Year. All the same, the hotel is reasonably priced and of good quality, so we would probably choose it even if it wasn't a 15-minute walk away from my parent's house. During our stay, all of the staff were courteous, efficient and friendly. Room service was excellent, and the breakfast very good. We are late risers and were staying with a small child, but housekeeping was very accommodating to our irregular habits. One thing we missed that we might have expected for a hotel of this class was a small refrigerator, in which we could keep fresh food for our child. That may be something to consider for family rooms. Otherwise, our stay was perfectly satisfactory, and we expect to be returning next year and in years to come.

The hotel was good and we left the car and got the bus into town, so we didn't need to find parking. The restaurant let's them down. Breakfast needs to be better as a few guest also said it was slow and food left on hot plates. Dinning I the evening menu was ok but service again was very slow we waited 45 minutes for a main course. Kitchen staff need to be more on the ball.

It is very good to be able to make a booking direct with the hotel. The reception staff are very professional and courteous. Dining room is lovely and selection and quality of food excellent, we ate at the hotel both nights of our stay. The rooms are very well decorated and furnished. We had a disabled person's room and the shower and toilet facilities were excellent.

Overall a very good experience. Have stayed here before and was not disappointed on this occasion. The big plus is the hotel staff who are always without exception very helpful.

Mediocre Hotel, the restaurant has proposed the same menu for 4 consecutive days…

A great place for gatherings during the day. I can't comment on evening functions, but if the daytime is anything to go by, you will have a great time.

Having stayed at this hotel on two previous occasions, and been very satisfied with all aspects. On this occasion, although the room was very clean and bed very comfortable when my husband and I stayed at the end of September, we were extremely disappointed with the food in the Bistro. The early menu had only one main dish to offer, namely Gammon steak which was inedible being tough and streaked with fat and to add the final revolting touch, smothered in Peppered sauce! Mine had to be returned and a Starter ordered instead. On looking at the other menu we discovered only two choices for main dish were on this, Leek and Potato Pie and Meat Balls. As the food on our previous visits was very enjoyable and there was a good choice we can only assume that there has been a change of Chef. When visiting Glasgow again we would stay at The Pond again but definitely go out to eat. We would add that the staff were very pleasant.

Decent location, decent bar.

Rooms were good. Close to a convenient store/fuel shop. The food in the restaurant wasn't great but the staff were excellent.

Friendly check in, bar staff were friendly. Room was of a decent quality with everything needed. Good Wi-Fi.

And ugly monstrosity from the outside which is surprisingly nice on the inside. The hotel was hard to find, however the secure parking is a nice touch. I was greeted at the front desk with outstanding customer service, which was backed up by the remaining staff in the restaurant and bar area. The room was clean and tidy and much to my surprise the bed was very comfortable & there is a nice view of a pond. Wi-Fi is pretty good which is free and easy to access. Food is good for the hotel and worth staying for.

Wonderful friendly hotel, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Room was nice and clean, ample teas and coffees and best of all comfortable beds. Food in the restaurant was nice and very good value, tablet ice cream was ace. Nice view over the lake with swans. M&S express next door for the bits you forget. Taxis right by hotel what more could you want.

Nice look but not very clean. Hair in the bathroom and dirt on the glasses in the Restaurants. The beds are good. Rooms decorated in a modern style.

For me, best hotel in the city because of its location, be happy staying on my own, handy for anywhere in the city transport so easy, and ease of access to all major roads, ideal esp for westend university of Glasgow, Hospital Gartnavel Nuffield or Queen Elizabeth via Clyde tunnel, Botanic' Gardens easy walk, and easy for transport museum and science centre. Outside facade is typical uninspiring 70s, inside is bright clean and modern, staff are very friendly and helpful! (Typical room view facing the front)

Decent room, good Breakfast.

From the outside regarded you think of a Hotel. The inside is really cozy. The rooms were ok, large bed, small bathroom. For dinner, we were with a coach group, well. Breakfast was very good, coffee very thin. Staff is very nice.

The rooms are being refurbished and are large and comfortable. The bed is impressive at this price point. The location is out-of-town, and no close rail or subway, but convenient for car. The restaurant food is surprisingly good: the food is very fresh and thr prices acceptable.

I was meeting business colleagues who were staying at the hotel. The staff were friendly, but seemed unsure how or whether to contact my colleagues when I arrived at the hotel and needed to meet with them.

Food was nice. Bar was cheap. I was at a wedding, the service was a bit slow. They put bacon on a vegetarian meal. But overall it is an ok hotel.

Room was clean but very 'tired', looked out over the hotels bin area where gulls and pigeons were feasting on the overflowing bins and waste on the floor. Continually woke up by banging doors and gulls. Food was possibly the worst I have eaten in many years.

Room was clean. Shower temp was inconsistent. Staff friendly, but the hotel itself isn't in the best knick. Good price but it could use a coat of paint.

Not too bad. The condition of the actual room had nothing to do with the pictures on the site. If all rooms look like the one I stayed they could use a rennovation. The hotel is pretty far from the center, bus stop nearby exists though. The staff : Ok so scottish accent is interesting but when the customer is asking the same thing for the third time the staff should try explaining somehow differently.

Attended for breakfast, it was delightful. Excellent inclusion of potato scones!

I never write reviews, but because of the amazing service and hospitality I received at the Pond during my stay in Glasgow, I feel I must. I'm a grad student and had to go with a more economical option, which also turned out to be one of the best options. Food was great, drink was great, staff was excellent and catered to my every frantic need, always polite, timely and professional. Save yourself the money and stay here, you will not regret it. Very clean and nicely located hotel. Man at reception was first class with information etc. Shame about the miserable bar man though. Would stay again.

Nice hotel lovely helpfull staff only one complaint need to review their taxi contract as one and half hour wait for taxi is totally unexceptable not staff's fault but they need new taxi firm.

Very well cooked meal but small portion for the price. Plates and other items are left in the hallways. Unorganized staff this night, and watched a staff member pick something off a spoon while setting a table and leave it. Secondly tried upgrading our stay but took over 2 1/2 hours and we were ready for bed before they came. Over all unhappy.

Very welcoming, nice hotel. Good sized room which was warm and nicely presented. Bed was nice and firm ~ had a good night's sleep. Only gripes were that our room had an unpleasant odour when we first arrived — fresh paint mixed with body odour! Not wanting to make a fuss, we just put up with it. The TV, whilst being a decent size, only showed a small selection of freeview channels. No news channels either which was a disappointment. Nice view over the pond from the window. The breakfast was a bit of a let down. Watery scrambled eggs, dry bacon, cold croissants. I think I would stay here again though because it was a fair price, has a free car park, and is in a good convenient location. Staff were good and hard working.

This hotel is out of the downtown area but on a easy to use bus route. The rooms were modern and well thought out.
