Nice comfy room, gentleman behind the bar and reception was excellent. So were the breakfast girls. Very impressed.

We have stayed here a couple of times, its the most welcoming warm and friendly hotel. Gavin the Manager can't do enough to make your stay the best it can be. Vicktoriya is just lovely. The rooms are cosy, warm clean and comfortable, breakfast plentiful and included in price of room. A stone from the train station… ten minute walk to the under cover Outlet shopping Centre with designer shopping at a cheap price. We would never chose to stay any where else in Swindon Town. Why would we.? Recommend this hotel and the Outlet shopping Mall.

Never on time. They cancell trains 1-2 minutes before they should arrive. This happens daily. I would give 0 stars.

Super badly run… Reservations never work, and trains always understaffed… It a good thing they have a decent marketing department to cover up their poor operations! Also filthy trains.

Frustrating and overly complex online booking system. Unreliable ticket machines. Very poor service considering the price — 50-100 pounds for a 90 minute train.

Every aspect of this organisation is amateurish at best, although to be fair, probably no worse than the rest of this country’s rail operators. Of the 8 trains I’ve used this week, 7 have been late, but don’t bother complaining because unless your train’s an hour late they’re not interested. 4 hours of my life lost this week and I expect the same rubbish next week. They’re bound to run a train on time at some point though, and when they do, go grab a lottery ticket, your luck’s in.

Absolutely pathetic excuse for a company! Drain the swamp, get some execs that are interested in getting trains running on time (strive for 0 cancellations, with the proper services (food & drink, janitorial, climate control).

First they cancelled a service then ask customers to ride to an already jam packed service, then service was delayed, the service is from Bath to Paddington, it's supposed to be only 3 stops and they added another 3 stops, it was very inconveniencing to those who book the Express service.

Absolutely disgusting service we have received today by Bativa on the late train from swindon to paddington and the doors wouldn’t open so had to get on at first class to be greeted by bavita the train manger who was exceptionally rude to us and when we tried to get answers she turned it all round on us and said we were loud and next thing we were asked to leave the train at didcot. We are extremely upset about this and want to make an official complaint. Now we arrived over 1.20 mins late ruining our day.

I did travel with their Bristol local service multiple times everyday for about two years, absolutely dreadful experience, always fewer cars than necessary minimum, almost always late, lots of trains cancelled, cars smell of puke and the service is super expensive. Friendly staff and stations in decent condition.

I did travel with their Bristol local service multiple times everyday for about two years, absolutely aweful experience, always fewer cars than necessary minimum, almost always late, lots of trains cancelled, cars smell of puke and super expensive. Friendly staff and stations in decent condition.

They were supposed to send me a cheque in July 2017 as compensation for a two-hour delay (case reference GWRR171002BPJC). As of today—January 1st, 2018—they have failed to do so, despite my numerous complaints, and repeated assurances on their part that the cheque was forthcoming.

This is in a massive state of transition at the moment, the staff are doing really well with what they have.

Don't offer Wi-Fi if it doesn't work.

Our journey was a nice journey to London, trying to ask for support or questions on the train or through GWR has not been so good. One of the issues was access to Wi-Fi, I asked the question and they provided me with a standard answer which means that Wi-Fi is no good on their trains or their investment in technology has not worked. Their feedback also shows that GWR does not understand their technology or customers. I dont mind paying for a service if I get it, in this case I was not impressed. Great Western line is a national embarrassment. Rusty Trains from the 70's. Can't rely on them getting you anywhere on time. Sky high fares. Where has the money gone all these years?

Experience was good, but it was too hot inside without AC.

Trains are always late between Newbury and London. It's a joke, but there's always some excuse they'll they give you. "It's a signalling error" "There's a broken down train" "Icy weather" At the end of the day their services are consistently late. On a good day expect a 10 to 15 minute delay.

Good. I actually got told which trains I could return by yesterday with a day saver ticket. Had been sitting for 1 hour+ prior to this.

I never usually get the train as I drive. But I have been asked to travel from neath to Bristol for work twice in the last two weeks. I thought I would be stressed driving around Bristol as I'm not familiar with the roads and decided to get the train. Prices are hefty… and finding a seat can be a task in itself. Toilets are disgusting. Train was delayed last week, making me late however, I managed to catch the connecting train from Cardiff to Bristol temple meads after running to the platform (in my heels with a huge bag) Train I caught from neath today was late, I ran (in heels with a huge bag) to the platform for my connecting train at Cardiff to go to Bristol temple meads. And missed it. Ended up having to RUN back over to the other platform (in heels with a huge bag) to get back on the train at Cardiff to Bristol Parkway… now on the train from Bristol parkway to Bristol temple meads… and guess what?! It's running late absolute joke! Looking absolutely horrendous might I add! Hair all over the place. Not sure if I've dropped something out of my bag. Sweating pints! I do feel for people who have to catch the train every day, your blood pressure must be through the roof.
