Hotel is lovely staff very friendly we booked a deluxe double which is really nice only downside is the room is on the front iveooking main road which is quite noisy eith traffic would ask for a back room if we stayed again.

Amazing bar staff. Shoe broke and they went above and beyond to help me fix them. Lovely guys. Defo come back.

I stayed last night for my boyfriends birthday, lovely surprise cheesecake in the room on arrival for his birthday. Gorgeous room, very comfortable bed. We where greeted on reception by a lovely friendly lady. Will definitely be booking to stay here again.

Just spent a lovely night away here. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Thanks to Megan for helping my normally unorganised other half plan our night away he can’t praise you enough. Thanks to Wendy for making us feel so welcome and going out of your way to ensure we had a perfect stay. We will definitely visit again!

Beautiful surroundings …carvery was the best we’ve had & staff were all very friendly & welcoming.

I came in with my husband, son & in-laws. Service was outstanding — honestly each person working, so welcoming, attentive and regular check ins for drinks/ensure everything was okay. Loved how they spoke with my son asking him what he wanted and I f things were okay — instead of asking us. He felt important. Food was delicious, fresh and hot — husband had the hake — he couldn’t fault it (he’s super picky too), I has the sweet chilli wraps — loved them and the homemade coleslaw! In-laws loved their food and only son’s words for the chicken nuggets — 10/10 mum 😂 Thank you for a lovely afternoon!

Nice that we could sit inside with the dog. Had a gorgeous carvery, the nut roast as a vegetarian option was very nice, plenty of choice for vegetables and sides. Staff were happy and helpful. Me and my son will be back soon.

My parents have just been for the afternoon tea and couldn’t have been more complimentary of the overall service, the food and the ambience created. Had lunch today at The Bold Hotel, it was fabulous 👌 I had the steak and Stilton burger which was amazing 👏 Don't be put off by sign on front door restricting dogs to assistance dogs, all dogs are welcome in the front part. Will definitely visit again ☺️

The Bold is always a lovely place to go and to be; the atmosphere is always fun and chilled out, the drinks and food are great, and the staff are friendly and super approachable. They’re doing an amazing job given how busy it’s been! Very highly recommend it for somewhere you can be made to feel very welcome!

Stayed here last night for the first time. It’s a beautiful hotel, lovely staff and great food and drink. The staff were all very attentive and friendly. The bedroom was very comfortable and the beds are amazing.
Full breakfast delivered to the room, really tasty and hot too.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to revisit again soon.

We cannot rate his hotel highly enough for hosting our recent wedding. Jeanette was nothing short of amazing with all our requests, date changes etc and the room was stunning. Staff food and drink were all superb. Definitely number 1 wedding venue for us thank you everyone x.

Probably the best hotel Ive stayed at. Despite the price quality room with lovely bathroom. Bar and grill downstairs is perfect to relax but busy enough to allow people watching. Food delicious.

Friendly staff been refurbished to high standards could do with changing there food menu. The imperial hotel do a far better menu.

I liked it before the revamp, it’s very nice, very modern. I stayed a couple of years ago, loved it. We called in last night for a drink and left half of our beer. It was either past it’s sell by date but to put it bluntly it was crap. We found the bar staff very condescending and superior we won’t be going back. Sorry if this offends.

Recently refurbished to a high standard, spotlessly clean and excellent breakfast. Staff were all very efficient and friendly.

Great character place, but hot in the summer, but they do explain why there is no aircon. Most of the days it would be fine. Definitely stay again.

This is an immaculate setting for a Wedding Reception. So how about if you could get Married here as well. You can. The Bold Hotel is now an all-in-one Venue. Reception Drinks inside or outside in the well equipped front tables. A smoking and non smoking outside dining area. There was literally a red carpet to greet us. Inside is beautiful and very well presented. Excellent staff and service from the door to the bar to the waiting staff. The Service was excellent. The Wedding itself took place in the Red Run Room. Beautifully put together with Star lit aisle and Bride and Groom family seating. Back in the large bar area whilst the room was transformed with Tables ready for the meal and speeches all very professionally hosted by the Staff. Then back into the bar as the room transformed again to the Evening arrangement for the nights celebration. Just incredibly put together. From start to finish, this was a very professional and polished package. This is how Weddings should always be. This was incredible.

Had a fabulous lunch here today. Pate starter was a meal in itself. A whole slab of pate with side salad, chutney, and crunchy bread followed by an enormous beef-burger in my favourite brioche roll with some salad and an enormous onion ring and chips. Was sorry I couldn't manage the chips. Really nicely decorated place and first class service. Thank you all. Really enjoyed.

Only spent an evening here so I cannot comment about the rooms etc, but the food and drinks were lovely and decently priced and the staff were meticulously dressed and professional. It's also a stunning building with a lovely atmosphere. For me it's probably the best hotel in Southport.

Have just spent a long weekend here. It really does say something about a place when my only comaint is I had a wobbly ironing board! Staff were fantastic! Food was fantastic! I could not recommend this place to enough people. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Thank you for making my stay one to remember.

We requested an early check in at 1pm which was ready for us straight away on arrival. The reception guy offered us help with our bags and took us up to our room which was very clean & comfortable. We had a few drinks in the bar which were very reasonably priced & sat outside in the stylish beer garden.
Our room overlooked a very busy bar which was lively until about midnight but then went quiet so didn’t disturb our sleep.

Stayed here on Sunday night, what a great hotel. Staff were so helpful and the food in the restaurant is to die for… Will definitely be going back.

Attended a christening function, the food provided was a mixture of cold/hot buffet, basic I. E sandwiches and chips etc but it was great! Great space And facilities. Big bar, even space for children's soft play. Seating to the front of the hotel outside in the sun. Televisions in the main bar showing football. Would definitely recommend.

Bit of a mixed experience really, when you walk In there is a podium where you would expect to see a waiter/waitress (wait here to be seated) waited 2 mins approx, then managed to get the attention of an employee walking by to ask if we seated ourselves? I was with a friend for lunch and her 6 month old in a pushchair… we then had to ask for menus, after waiting for someone to acknowledge us 10 mins or So, we then had to again get the attention of a member of staff to ask if we had to order our food at the bar. We felt that the staff were not very attentive to us, and there wasn't enough information provided either verbally or written to inform us of waiter/bar service. The food when it arrived was lovely, and reasonably priced.

Trendy, boutique hotel with restaurant and public bar. Standard offering of keg beers (draught Bombardier when I visited in May 2018 — though I suspect they rotate guest beers). Pleasant courtyard seating (with loud piped music). Order meals at the counter; delivered to your table. Complimentary Wi-Fi. Confusingly, despite the hotel name, this pub is not actually on Bold Street but on the next corner.

I would give zero stars but it was not an option. Poor service except bar staff were helpful. 3 Waiting staff walked past pad and pen in hand and ignored us. Food very poor bland and tactless the pate came straight out of a supermarket wrapper.

Went for my friends hen night to have afternoon tea. The service was very slow and when it was pointed out that I had an allergy to eggs, the waitress made a BIG thing about not being told (I was unaware it was afternoon tea that was booked, otherwise I would have said something in advance). Most places we eat are usually very accommodating and don't make a big issue out of it. It left me feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable.

Great mix of olde worlde and modern. Good location and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The hotel has a busy bar and is more like a pub for the locals. Unusual to find such a popular bar in a hotel. Negatives are limited parking and this hotel isn't disabled friendly as all rooms are upstairs with no lift and there is no disabled parking. I would definitely stay here again.

We went today for a family meal, long wait on the food for not that busy restaurant, coffees after the jugs of milk was so dirty full of stains inside and one of the jugs looked like it had not been washed just new milk pour into it. We mentioned it to the waitress who said I will get you some more milk but the milk was in the coffees by this time. Still charged us full price on the coffee’s no apology.

Went to have afternoon tea with my 2 daughters, friend and her daughter to celebrate mothers day, was amazing beautiful place lovely staff great food what more can you ask for. Would highly recommend it x.

A great place to stay it is Central to Southport and close to the conference centre. It has an old-world charm but is bang up to date. The hotel has a popular bar frequented by local people. All the staff are helpful and friendly and this is what really made my stay special. The rooms are very comfortable and and modern. My only gripe is that you can't control the heating in the room as it is managed centrally. Parking is limited with only enough space for 9 cars. There is no dedicated disabled parking and all the bedrooms are at least one floor up with no lift. The staff are more than willing to help you with your luggage up to the room if requested. The breakfasts are good though not outstanding. Apart from the cooked breakfast the buffet part is very limited in the morning. Overall a great stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel, after booking it literally last minute and not knowing anything about it. The room, even though described as 'cozy', was quite spacious, decor nice, super comfy bed. The downside for me was the constant buzzing I could hear all night, but I'm very sensitive to sound, and my friend wasn't bothered at all. My favourite part was breakfast — really tasty full English, fruit/yoghurt/cereal and the like available from the buffet — all good quality and fresh. Parking is very limited, otherwise the experience was great, staff friendly, definitely recommend.

Pleasant place to have a drink, a meal, a function or stay over. The refurbished bar is trendy looking and attracts different age groups. There is an outside seating area facing Lord Street, with heaters and comfortable armchairs.

So far it has been a fantastic experience. The young lady on reception I think she was called Jade hunted down a room for us with a bath. It then has the luxury of a superking size bed. Awaiting pour meal to arrive but first impressions are fantastic would definetly recommend.

I stayed at The Bold Hotel last night and was met with a very warm welcome at reception. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean. The decor was very tasteful, fluffy pure white towels, very comfortable beds and huge pillows. It was a nice touch to find complimentary bottles of water in the fridge. The breakfast was delicious and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. I will be staying here again the next time I am in Southport.

Great looking restaurant and plenty of seating throughout the bar areas too. Food was really good, quick service, well priced and with friendly and helpful staff.

The Bold hotel is situated in the town centre and is beautifully decorated inside and out, the room was average size but the shower was small. Staff were friendly and helpful.
