We enjoyed our stay here, The breakfasts were tasty and they set you up for the day. The room was spacious and very well appointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always willing to go the extra mile if they could. Highly recommended.

Rooms rather small but amazing location and friendly staff.

A cosy B&B for family. + points Friendly staff; freshly cooked breakfast; neat and tidy rooms; Great location on the top with views of the beach and the English Channel -ve points Quite hot during July as there are no ceiling fans in the room, just a small table fan. The family rooms are quite small, with bunk beads in a separate room. The shower is so small that a plus sized person will find it difficult to even turn around. The family room faces the road, so you will miss the beautiful sea view if you select this room. Overall a nice place to stay with the Shanklin Chin & the beach just 5 minutes walk. Good restaurants nearby, Vernon Cottage, the Aqua, etc.

This is a great hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. I would highly recommend. I found out that the hotel also contributes to local projects such as the beach sweep. They also give free water bottle refills to passing walkers which I think is a great initiative. The views of the sea from the hotel could not be better. There are also plenty of seating areas both indoors and out so you can enjoy the view whatever the weather. Also whilst you're there try their home made cake!

Lovely hotel with great views. We only went for lunch but enjoyed good food and it was a relaxed atmosphere. Recommended.

Stayed here for a long weekend. We booked the premier suite and the room was really nice. It was very clean and tidy inside and the balcony overlooking the sea was brilliant, although that wasn't very clean so we didn't sit out for too long. The evening meal in the bistro was very well cooked, the steak was done to perfection, unfortunately the freshly cooked breakfasts didn't seem that freshly cooked as we had very dry bacon and sausage on two of the days. The waitress here was definitely the star of the hotel for us though, she was bubbly, very polite, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, she always had a smile on her face. One word of warning for anyone looking to book this room though, there is no bathroom door, the design is such that you have to walk around a wall to get to it but if you are self conscious about using the loo, this may not work for you.

Beautiful old hotel tastefully decorated. Lovely food, helpful staff, comfy beds and a great shower. Situated on the cliff top overlooking Shanklin beach and easy walk to the old town, shops and beach. Great spot for my morning constitutional. Well placed to explore the island. What more do you want for a holiday?

Only came here for lunch but we had a lovely meal whilst looking over the Solent. Very cosy place and staff were great too.

Easy to get too, friendly staff, dinner menu limited breakfast has lots of choices but full English with NO Beans I don't think so! Worth the update for the balcony bay room amazing views of the best part shower is amazing!

What a wonderful time we have had. Food excellent, staff friendly, rooms very good size and clean and the location and views just topped of a tremendous holiday. Well worth thinking about staying at if your visiting the Isle.

Charming small cliff top hotel. We've not stayed here, but we have dropped in for lunch a couple of times. Cheerful service, good food and spectacular views over the bay. Recommended!

Extremely well run friendly hotel. Fabulous location by shanklin chine. Stunning sea views and very pretty garden. Terrace for breakfast when weather gòod. Breakfast varied and excellent. Staff are professional, friendly and attentive and this hotel offers many welcome added details. Optional morning coffee, afternoon tea or bar meals served through the day as well as well appointed bedrooms. Recommend without hesitation and wI'll be back. At this hotel you will encounter customer service at its best.

Very clean hotel. Evening meals were rather poor. The hotel seems to be run on a skeleton staff rota.
One member of staff seems to have OCD and can't wait to clear the tables. … For service at the bar you had to ring a bell.
Which at times was rather comical. As the owner had to serve the meals and service the bar. At one point the chef came running out after him. A very clean Faulty Towers at the best of times.

Spent one night here, last minute booking, lovely room overlooking the sea complete with binoculars! Lovely breakfast — ate far too much and great snug bar and garden. Staff are very friendly and helpful, great place to stay with lots of nice touches — books to read, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room — thoroughly recommend it :-)

Spent a week here in June with my husband to celebrate our Golden Wedding. Really large twin room, spotlessly clean, and I did have a bit of a sea view when I sat up in bed! Only ate a couple of times in the hotel, but the food in the evening was great, and the breakfasts are to die for! Stunning views from the bistro, and a wonderful garden to sit in and relax with a glass of wine in the sunshine. Very friendly staff. Can't wait to come back.
