Had my daughter's 18th birthday celebration last 7th July 2019: From venue to food, from accommodation to all the staff, everything is amazing! All the guests are making comments how lovely the venue is!

Hi we had an exceptionally wonderful experience at the venue. Especially Mr Jamal from the day one till the end of the event he was very helpful. He is very humble and determined to his job here I should mention about the event manager Zara she has very charming personality and the way she was handling her team I was so impressed even under pressure she was smiling. We will highly recommend this venue for any accusation So a very big thanks to the all management. Good luck Mr Mrs Ijaz Butt.

Made our wedding day special and memorable. The Rhubarb Suite and decor was stunning. A great team, who were so supportive and helpful. Not just on the day itself, but with all the planning too! They went over and beyond to accommodate us. All our guests loved the food. Thank you.

The traditional deco is amazing. Some of the shower caddy sets are rusty and need changing. The cleaning service could be better. Breakfast has a good selection. Overall I think you get value for your money, staff are very polite and helpful.

The food might be fantastic here if you have a wedding or party to attend but if like us you just stay here to visit the area/ Work it’s a different story. Receptionist not there when you arrive, bedroom very small, no wardrobe, just a rail on the wall and no coat hangers.
If you like bacon with your breakfast it’s fake turkey bacon which was so awful tasting I could not eat in a sandwich with egg!

When you do see staff they are lovely, the bed is large and comfortable (fills the room) we managed to get in the car park which is free. The decor is bling +++

We booked this venue for our BIG day! best choice every! The venue is beautiful and management team were flexible and accommodating to our needs. Jamal was always on the phone whenever we had questions or concern. Great customer service. I will highly recommend this venue.

Food was great and plenty of off road parking for evening and weekend functions. Asked for a prayer room and an hour after failing to provide one, I requested a quiet corner for 5mins which they were unable to arrange too. Hotel Receptionist was the most unhelpful and I find her a bit rude answering, "This is the reception area, I cannot find you a quiet corner to pray. You need to ask catering staff in banqueting suite area. " I gave up on them at the end.

Awesome hotel! Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Almost blackout curtains which makes a nice change from other hotels. Rooms are always clean, tidy and fresh. Beds are comfortable. The executive double suites are lovely and this hotel is always great value for money! Nowhere better in our around Croydon IMHO. Most rooms have a fridge, and there's always ice buckets available if they don't. Live this place!

As venues go, this is large, with sufficient parking on site and around the area. The inside is decorated lavishly, with plenty of space for around 600 people to sit very comfortable. The hall is multi use, with lightning options available, separate toilets and other areas available for use. Overall, a welcoming and attractive venue.

Really nice hotel, comfy, affordable. Nice decor. The receptionist couldn't do enough for us she was lovely. There was a wedding on whilst we were there and the venue did look really nice. I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was also good too.

Amazing venue for weddings and private functions. My own wedding took place here and I cannot fault them for anything. From management all the way to all staff members were very professional and made sure that our day was truly a day to remember. They took care of absolutely everything. The decor was great, food was absolutely amazing, even 2 years after my function, people remember the food. I will recommend them without a single second thought. Thank You Grand Sapphire.

Long wait for someone to check us in. Rude front desk staff which need more training. Asked to pay deposit when paying in cash when it didn't state that at all when looking on there website. Lady decided to wave deposit after a bad attitude about it. Room was not bad clean but staff need training on how to speak to customers.

A great place to stay. Wonderful hospitality. They are also vegan-friendly. Lovely rooms, free parking space and free breakfast. The staff is extremely friendly. Highly recommended. We are spending 3 nights here. Perfect!

Great staff. The room was all up to scratch. We had a good all you can eat buffet breakfast. The decor of this place is Indian kitch glitzy.

Wonderful place… but management are not very accommodating. They say they want more business but attitude needs to change… That's why the one star…

Very good hotel for the price, very clean and well kept. Everything you would expect from a hotel except the lack of an iron in my room. Found the bed a bit too firm for my liking also. Every so often I can hear a loud (ish) rumbling sound which makes it a bit difficult to sleep. Breakfast is quite nice but the sausages they use aren't typical, they look and taste like mini hot dogs.

I absolutely love the Grand Sapphire. A regular here visiting twice this month for 2 or 3 nights. And I can tell you why starting with the entrance. No stairs and all ramps for easy wheelchair and luggage room. Located next to a car rental "Europcar" and the breakfast is better then anywhere else. This is the only place I recommend staying. The receptionist are very kind and very very open hearted. They have wedding events if your looking for a place to get married:). It's beautiful. If your picky with having to have a great and the best place to stay no other hotel and people can do it like here! Love you Grand Sapphire :D.

Went for 2 weddings here, reasonable space. Easy access from the hall to the hotel above. Situated at a convenient location but the car park is very limited.

My brother and his wife had an amazing wedding hosted by the Grand Sapphire. They were extremely professional and polite. I'd Highly recommend this place. Imtiaz.

Me and my husband stayed in for two days, and room upon arrival wasn't clean, it had a lot of hair, waking barefooted, you could feel dirt on carpet. Also, shower had yellow and blackish stains. Breakfast was ok. We skipped it on second day. It's really good accomodation if you are visiting for business and it's for one two days. Have free parking and it has a lot of space.

Fantastic place and food — and even better people to work with — extremely courteous, accommodating and went the extra 10 miles to make sure my charity event was a success — could not recommend them any higher!

The hall was amazing. It was decorated beautifully and had great good from Spice Village. The location was in an open and safe place. There is plenty of parking space at the back. The service was brilliant.

I held my wedding event at this venue and I can say all throughout leading up to my wedding all staff were very professional and attentive. Everything went according to plan and was all so organised. Nice decor very helpful front desk even called room about half an hour after we checked in to see all was ok etc. Big car park only draw back was the Thursday night we were there they had a function on in their banqueting hall so all these people overtook the whole car park, even disability places and not one had a blue badge, was only fault we felt was very bad and needed looking into But overall experience was great plus was upgraded to executive room, reason being as we hadn't been there before, which was very nice gesture we felt. Thank you for your kindness and lovely stay.

For the price and convenience it's ok… if u want bit more space room service … a lobby etc … it ll cost u lot more in London … staff were nice friendly would recommend if the wedding is there just because it's reasonably price … wedding food was bit pants though nice enough loads of oil in curry and I've had better despite the volume of ppl at asian weddings dhal veg curry particularly bland. However salmon starter was nice and interesting … however the wedding hall was spacious despite numbers nothing worst than having second seating or being crammed like sardines with to many tables …

We booked Grand Sapphire for our family wedding as it's one of the most beautiful venues in London. Jamal and his staff were really accommodating throughout the entire process, from the initial meeting through to the big day. The venue itself is luxurious in every way imaginable, amazing deco and good car parking space for all our guests. It trumps other wedding venues by miles therefore I would 100% recommend it to everyone.

Very nice friendly staff. First impression of the hall it looked amazing, it was clean and quite huge. The tables, chair and set up looked classy and elegant. The colour combination of the interior of the hall was great. The 3 course meal was one of the best I have eaten in any wedding I've ever been to especially the lamb korma and Afgan chicken was exquisite. Special thanks to Jamal who was very kind and attentive to our needs and really went out of his way to ensure the wedding is amazing. I would really recommend this wedding hall to everyone.

Arranged a wedding in the Rhubarb Suite. It was great to find a venue with the catering on site and from a known supplier. The decor was beautiful. Furthermore the support we received from our contact at Grand Sapphire Jamal was excellent. Very happy. Recommended.

Excellent venue for weddings and other events. The decor is lavish and clean, perfect for any type of gathering. Parking may be an issue with only a few dozen spaces but there are more off-street parking outside the venue.

We booked our Wedding at the Grand Sapphire and honestly speaking it was the best decision we made! The entire team were very professional and willing to go that extra mile from the very start. I'm so happy with the result, I wanted to share my experience. I'm going to start straight off with the food — don't doubt, just book it! The food, presentation and service was incredible, my guests are still complimenting the food to date! It was beautifully presented and my guests needs were really taken care of. So a special thank you to all the waiting staff who helped out on our big day. We hired the Grand Ballroom because of our large guest list, and the decor was stunning! The team used their in house decor to help us save on costs and it was perfect! On the day, my event manager added a beautiful mirror display as a surprise for me! The team were very attentive to detail, and everything was just as I had planned and hoped for. The service was really impeccable — we've already recommended the venue to our family and friends and we're going to another wedding here next month as a result! :) Can't thank the team enough — you guys made my dream wedding come true. My sincerest thanks to everyone involved. Also we hired some hotel rooms for the wedding and our stay was brilliant, really clean modern rooms and breakfast was delicious!

Before staying here I unfortunately read reviews of which were not good. But I am pleased to say they were wrong. I had a fantastic 9night stay. Rooms are very nice to spend a night in and everything you need in them. Walls are thin but nothing earplugs won't cure the odd person walking down the hall. Rooms do have air con which has been a blessing. Very busy for weddings but I didn't here a peep from the second floor. All in all I had a really good stay at the grand sapphire.

We were very impressed by everything about this hotel. Very reasonably priced double room, large bed, nice en suite, and good choice of English or continental breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Uninspiring view from our window, but that didn't matter at all. Altogether great value for money.

One of the best venue ever, I am so glad that my only daughter got married at Grand Sapphire, Venue has beautiful decor and nicely presented. Service from management was excellent from the beginning, very humble and co operative staff. When you enter in a hall it's a WOW effect. Most of the guest at wedding came back to enquire about the venue. I wish I have one more daughter to wed, I will definitely chose this lovely group of people.

It's not in the most attractive of locations but it is extremely convenient. There is even parking available on the road (off peak) when their car park is full. The conference hall itself is huge and very bright with opulent decor.

The venue was large, well presented and exuberant. I very much enjoyed my time here. (Wedding).

I attended a family friend's wedding at The Grand Sapphire on 13 April 2017 and it was a beautiful venue and a great event. The evening was professionally managed and the food was delicious. The hall itself was indeed 'grand' and we seem to have found a real 'gem' of a function venue with the Grand Sapphire.

The Grand Sapphire Hotel staff are excellent. They really helped me when I got all my dates confused recently, nothing was too much trouble for them. We use the hotel on a regular basis. It is excellent.

The Grand Sapphire is a great place like their name, they have everything you could possibly need for a wedding. They totally transformed the venue, words cannot explain the transformation. At the initial meeting we were asked what we wanted, if we were unsure he offered us some suggestions, we didn't feel rushed, or forced to make any decisions. Everyone was polite and helpful. On the day of the wedding they did their job above and beyond our expectations, the bride and groom loved it, as did the Guests. I would definitely use them for the next event.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at this beautiful venue. We had 300 guest and Grand Sapphire were able to accommodate every single one. They staff were ever so helpful and attended to all of our needs. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a wedding venue, or even to host an event or party. I attended my sister in law's birthday party recently at Grand Sapphire and I must say that it was a lovely experience. The staff were very helpful — from the lovely receptionist (Jess) to the Sales team and also the guys in the kitchen. I spent the night we my family and we had breakfast. Short stay but a good one.

I had my wedding here and to be completely honest from the moment I walked in that door greeted by the owner and an amazing manager Mr Nauman … I knew that id be getting married there! I immediately cancelled my booking at a different hall only to lose my deposit, thats how blown away I was by the beauty of the hall … The event co-ordianation was run exactly as I wanted (all on paper itenaries) from the style of the way napkins were placed to the way the dessert would be plated (they even bought plates so my trio dessert would be plated the way I wanted) … they really pushed the limits to consider everything I wanted and genuinely made it happen! They took on all the headaches for extras such as magic mirrors to laying out my guest book table … I genuinely cannot fault them for anything … ontop of all that there food was amazing just as I expected from the taster session! The canapes were amazing as I was told by guests and the starters mains and condiments were all top notch as I ate it myself! Alot of people said it was the best wedding theyve been to … a beautiful hall with an amazing team running it … thank you very much for an amazing never to be forgotten walima x javed 29/12/16

I attended a wedding at the hotel, my experience and knowledge of Croydon wasn't the greatest but when I came to Grand Sapphire I was pleasantly surprised. Emphasis on the Grand as that's exactly what to expect, a beautiful banqueting hall, the hotel itself is fantastic, clean, and definitely royal looking. Hotel reception were friendly and the service at the wedding was brilliant including the setup. If I ever visit to stay over in Croydon this hotel would be on my list. Exquisite!

Went to a wedding there. Staff are very friendly and the food was top. Staff wanted to listen to your request and did try their best to resolve it. I cannot fault them in any way including the dress code was on point.
