Fabulous inclusive theatre, that puts on great productions. Just been to see While The Sun Shines for the second time — I first saw the production when it was on before the pandemic in 2019 and loved it. Front of folks are great too, friendly and welcoming. Plus it’s very easy to get to, just a couple of minutes walk from Richmond Station.

Great plays and great acting.

“Little Baby Jesus” — an absolutely incredible performance by 3 great, young actors. Engaging, funny, moving and impactful. Also, great to experience the work done with the OT young theatre company in response to the play. Go see this!

I 'm a big fan of the Orange Tree Theatre. It's small but perfectly formed and there's a nice small-town vibe about the place, and I have enjoyed every visit here. They also have some interesting shows too. My last visit ended with the entire audience getting up and dancing at the end of the show before being led in a conga line through the entire building by the one-and-only Ida Barr! A great way to end 'her' show and just another day at the Orange Tree.

My favourite theatre in London. It's an incredibly intimate perfoming space where directors have to think about how to stage in the round and have to meet the unbelievably high standards that have been set in the last couple of years. Three of their original productions have gone on to the West End, two of those to the National Theatre! No other tiny, unfunded theatre packs so much punch. Also the staff are just the nicest, most helpful people you could hope to meet. If you can't get here, go and see " An Octoroon", their latest production now opening at The National Theatre.

Small friendly off West End theatre with an amazing choice of original and unjustly forgotten drama. If you're keen on theatre, go there! Richmond is very easy to get to and the orange tree is 5mins walk. Good pub opposite.

Saw Mayfly tonight, absolutely brilliant! Acting was on point and hats off to the play writer. I was in tears but in a beautiful way. A dark comedy executed beautifully.

Really great intimate theatre showcasing small scale revivals and new writings. You really must try and catch a play there.

The Orange Tree Theatre is a very special place and the productions are top of class.

Time after time I keep coming back to this theatre to be enchanted by amazing plays, done in a unique way, all in a very welcoming atmosphere for a price that even I with a very tight budget find acceptable. I have seen over a dozen of plays in this theatre by now and have never been disappointed.

A very well established and renowned theatre. The unique feature is the intimacy of the theatre. There are also excellent productions with some good actors and a friendly bar.

Loved everything about this intimate performance space and the play, Poison, was well worth seeing. Well scripted and directed and the two actors were superb in their roles. Hope our next visit coincides with another production.

A delightful way to spend an evening. Came with my daughter and her husband. We were transported to a different time and presented with hopes and fears we easily recognized. Greatly enjoyed the drama. Wonderful acting. Can't wait until next week and our next installment of theatre.

They are now captioning (through Stagetext) some plays for deaf people like me.

Great small theatre, fab value especially for under 30s and the current production The Octoroon is one of the best things I've seen in theatre. Only one minute walk from Richmond station to easy to get to.

Excellent small theatre in the round, which creatively bats well above its size with a range of excellent productions. Currently performing, in a world premiere production, "the Lottery of Love" a Marivaux comedy translated and adapted by John Fowles; he has created an almost Wildesn class and gender comedy which at under 100 minutes means there is plenty of time to race a pint next door. Lovely theatre in the round with excellent sight lines in its intimate setting.

Every seat in the house is a good one. Great selection of plays.

Great theatre that strives to bring thoughtful and challenging plays but being in Richmond is as far as you can get from the West End in the Metropolis. Generally good viewing though upstairs row of seats is cramped for legroom. Enthusiastic and friendly staff.

I like really like the Orange Tree Theatre. There's a nice vibe about the place, and I have enjoyed every visit here.

I can't believe what I experienced last night. It was so stunning that I can't even talk about it except now. I woke up with 'Hard rain… ' in my head and it won't leave. I went to see Barb Jung perform songs of Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan. I didn't know what to expect, not having any knowledge of this singer, but I didn't expect to be hit by an emotionally charged tornado. Her interpretation of songs by these two iconic writers is astounding and powerful. Yet in b…etween each performance, she is funny, so funny the audience were roaring with laughter. Doped up, as she told us, with Lemsip Max, she gave her all and then left us speechless. The intimate atmosphere of the Orange Tree made it all the more personal. There were cds on sale in the bar but I don't want to listen to her like that. I want her in my front room doing what she did last night. Utterly utterly brilliant. Thank You.

Theatre in the round. Authentic production, Pomona is weird play which was fun and horrible in-a — good — way.

Just seen the first preview of Pomona. Won't be to everyone's taste — you'll never look at an old discarded mattress the same way again (and you certainly won't lie on one) — and at first my heart sank at what initially promised to be just yet another Gritty Urban Dystopia about disaffected yoofs in hoodies, laced with (snore) Tarantino-style film references — but it quickly — or rather gradually — becomes something far more layered, complex, resonant and mythic. A kind of Rubiks Cube of storytelling, told through scenes that crawl at times with a skin-tightening tension, and choreographed to within an inch of its life. (There is an extraordinary kind of worldess pavane in the middle — no idea why, or what it was about, but I was riveted by it. ) Line after line, and scene after scene present a completely original and fresh theatrical world and vision: is this Alice in Wonderland for the C21st? A really remarkable play and production, and a really bold choice for the Orange Tree. Congratulations to all involved!

Good solid Young's pub in a great location. Nice traditional decor. Apparently opening a "boutique hotel" soon.

Good bar in Richmond. Pretty average, but always a good place for a drink.

The restaurant was ok and the waitress very nice to us but one of the male staff was at some point very rude to our group of 10 people, simply because 1.5 hour through our dining we asked for a fifth bottle of wine to finish off our dinner. Bear in mind that's about 2.5 glasses per person, and it was a special occasion. We were having a good time, tucked in the corner, pub full, no one could even have cared less. But apparently he did since after our request he told us: "seriously, you want another bottle? I can't ask you guys to leave but. ". Apparently one cannot have a good civilised time in good company in that place according to this man. We did had a good time in the end (ignoring him) but some of us were in shock at that point. It was simply incomprehensible. That's really a shame for an otherwise good spot.

Really good atmosphere in here. Big screen for football (if you like that kind of thing) but without being the central focus of the pub. The bar staff are very friendly (and gorgeous). Food was surprisingly tasty. I'll defintaley come back.
