When we arrived I should of turned straight away the hallway was filthy our room was smelly old looking the sink in bathroom came away from the wall, the soap had hairs in it and smelt terrible in bathroom, sorry but wasn't a good experience, we had to stay there for a night it was too late for anything else never again PLEASE AVOID!

I unfortunately booked a room at the Hillingdon Lodge I was greeted by a Mr Salam as he called himself mr salam looked like he hadn't had a wash in over a month the smell was horrendous the only way to describe it is to say a bin waggon smells nice. I was showed into my bedroom where there was pubic hair all over the toilet clearly from several different people as they was different colours the smell was unbearable and I was still charged even thought I made a hasty Exit within 2 minutes of arrival. they was rat droppings and cockroaches.

Please never book this hotel, worse than staying awake on the streets. its like a dungeon, very unclean, stinks in the bathroom. The best thing will be for authorities to close this hotel.

Business' 18 June 2010 review on Hillingdon Lodge (the review is still on Google Earth as of 26 July) is bang on. Also correct are his comments on the other earlier reviews — I cannot believe that Zzsmith14 actually enjoyed TWO WEEKS in the place — I could not imagine anyone enduring it for more than 2 nights! The reviews below are clearly faked. I wonder what A Pkwozcki (obviously misspelt) from the USA would say — knowing American standards, I'm sure he did not write that! ‎ The boiler for the shared bathroom was in my room sitting atop what appeared to be a second-hand kitchen unit. An empty crisp packet was on the floor when I first entered — the member of staff showing me around made no attempt to remove it although he must have seen it! I later found that the door lock was temperamental and I only managed to lock it after several tries. The door of the shared bathroom could not be secured at all as the bolt was missing. At breakfast the next morning (a Sunday) not one member of staff was around — the place had obviously been abandoned overnight. Various bits and pieces (bread, odd cereals, coffee and tea) had been left out on the table in what could laughingly be called the guest house lounge; I found milk in the fridge in the kitchen. The crockery was chipped and the cutlery had seen far better days — all was just about clean enough. To add insult to inconvenience, a notice in the kitchen asked guests to wash up after they had finished. My flabber was ghasted!

During my stay at the lodge I was well looked after by the staff, which were very helpful. It certainly is a convienant location from where I work. The transport is extremely good as there is buses outside the bnb and a train station within a 2 minute walk. I would recommend this bnb to anyone, I'm sure you will enjoy your stay as much as I have.
